Hired SHA Mechanical to replace our HVAC. They came highly recommended by neighbors & it is easy to see why. Found them to be very responsive & service oriented. This is a family-owned, local business with 50 years of expertise in the industry instead of what appears to be locally owned companies that have been bought out by private equity, so SHA isn't just all about the money like those equity firms are. They are about providing quality products & services to make happy customers, which we are. Our unit even comes with a 12-year parts & labor warranty! I highly recommend SHA Mechanical & feel lucky we heard about them before replacing our very old HVAC.

Just wanted to comment on the expert 5-star service and outstanding customer satisfaction provided by SHA Mechanical of Troutman, NC during my recent 2-unit AC replacement/install. I had two 16-year old TRAM units (old boxy style) that were old, rusting, and leaking, and I got SHA to replace those old units with very modern Daikin Fit wifi units (reduced size suitcase style). First off, it should be noted that SHA Mechanical are “Daikin” preferred dealers/installers which is extremely hard to qualify for and maintain as Daikin has hard-core standards that must be met and maintained by any preferred dealer/installer. If you have done much AC unit research you should know Daikin AC units are some of the best in the business and to my knowledge come with the best warranty out there: 12 yrs. parts and labor. Daikin to my knowledge created the future R32 refrigerate standard so you are dealing with the top innovative leaders in the field. Daikin is the brand SHA stands behind and likes to install as their primary units and I was in total agreement with that. Matt (the owner) is humble, kind, and very knowledgeable and very hands-on, and he did all that he could to ensure he personally gave me an honest best-quote on the work and he took extra time to answer all my many questions that I had before the work was scheduled. Amy is the secretary in the office and is super friendly and warm and great at coordinating install dates/times, and ensuring your product paperwork with models and serial numbers all gets filed for warranty purposes by her in the office after work completion, and that you get a hard copy mailed to you for your personal records — great job Amy!! The install crew was Jeremy (foreman), Killian, and Lay (electrician). They were super nice, professional, and worked their butts off in extreme heat to get everything done fast as possible in order to get my cool air back on. They do a great job to remove old units, and ensure all new installed lines were clean and pressure tested to spec and that the system refrigerant was measured properly and that the total system worked to my expectations. They also did a great job of helping me with the newly installed digital wifi thermostat before leaving. Their work is neat and clean and they are careful to ensure your home is left just like they found it. They also will answer any questions you have as they go along. Paying in cash and getting 5% off the total price is also an awesome perk offered by SHA Mechanical ––– thanks so much SHA for everything!!! As a foot note, I ran into a local building inspector today. He asked about my new AC units as he was checking something at my neighbors house and I happened to be talking with my neighbor in the yard. I told him they were installed by SHA Mechanical. He got a big smile on his face and commented that they do great work and I had nothing to worry about. So that felt very reassuring to here from a building inspector.

They arrived both times on the date and time range agreed upon. I assume that the work was performed correctly. Office staff and service techs were friendly and helpful. Prices were probably competitive for a large, professional contractor, but I did not get competitive quotes (company had installed h/ac system for previous owner).

I have had absolutely no problem with them and I recommend them highly. They are great. They are always punctual and always there on time. I have dealt with them for years and will continue to do so. They are good people. I have bought my last two heating units from them.

We use them all the time. Everything has gone great! We have very high regard for them.

We called SHA early in the morning after a very hot and restless night. Rory was at our home a little after 10:00 am to diagnose the problem. Once it was determined we needed a fan motor, he left to get the part (about 30 minutes away) and returned about an 90 minutes later. We had air again by about 2:00 pm. What could easily have been several miserable days without A/C became a mere few hours of inconvenience thanks to this company's responsiveness. We found Rory to be very efficient and polite even in the face of working in an attic well above 100 degrees. We highly recommend SHA and Rory.

Excellent. The workers that came in to install the new system into our home were very competent and clean. I felt comfortable with them working in the house and even left them alone to work while I ran errands outside of the home. Everyone from the owner (who came and gave us our estimate), to the workers who came day in and day out for two weeks (on time every day!) were both courteous and competent. They cleaned up after themselves and the system works great!

Wonderful! We're thrilled with the new system, and with the attention to detail that all members of the staff had. They ensured that the work got done on time, and came back to make sure it was working properly. We'd recommend SHA Mechanical and Matt Cash to anyone, and in fact, already have!

The person on the phone was very courteous and knowledgeable. Explained the normal cost of the service call and the advantages of a yearly contract. Explained that it would be Wednesday before they could do the work, but said would call if they could do it earlier. Serviceman called on Wednesday and said he was on his way and asked for directions. Arrived shortly after and appeared neat and courteous. Started his work and finished in reasonable time. Went over what he found and explained the option of a yearly contract. I was satisfied and agreed to a yearly contract and he provided the paperwork and I paid him and he left. He was courteous at all times and thoroughly explained what he found and did. We were pleased and would recommend the company.

I have used Sha many, many times in the past. They have replaced lots of heat pumps for us. They also have done lots of other work for us over the years. Bill Cash is the founder of Sha and so is his brother. They are defiantly right on when it comes to their work. The company is extremely nice and they have never given me any problems with themselves or their work.

Everything works beautifully with my system. The workers were very fine people, and they did very fine work. I have no complaints at all, and I do not believe I ever will. Everything went great from the very beginning. If anything were to go wrong at all with the system, I have no doubts that they would come back and fix it. I am confident in their work and pleased with the overall experience.

I have used them before in the past and they have always done a good job. They assisted me in choosing the right heat pump with central air for my home. They did this by an actual air flow test in my house so I did not get one bigger than I actually needed. They told that all I needed was one that would make my home moderately comfortable and that it should be the most energy efficient for you. It really only took them two days to have it installed and working properly. I even had them come out to make sure it was set right. They had no problems coming out the very same day I called them. That was at no extra charge at all.

I called SHA and they returned my call within 10 minutes. Brian came out and fixed the air conditioner problem immediately.

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WAS QUOTED AT $140 FOR UNIT #1, $99 FOR UNIT #2 WHICH INCLUDES FIRST PRECISION TUNE-UP AND PRE-PAYS FOR SECOND TUNE-UP AT CHANGE OF SEASONS. ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WAS PURCHASED AFTER OBSERVING EXCELLENT WORK PERFORMED BY SERVICE PERSON. SERVICE CONTRACT PRICE QUOTE WAS HONORED WITHOUT HESITATION. SERVICE PERSON, BOB WALKER, DID A THOROUGH JOB CLEANING AND TESTING THE UNITS FOR PROPER FUNCTIONING INCLUDING THE AIR HANDLING UNIT IN A RATHER TIGHT CRAWLSPACE WHICH NEEDED EXTENSIVE CLEANING. BOB EVEN WENT BACK INTO THE CRAWL SPACE TO VERIFY PROPER OPERATION AND CAPACITY OF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER ON THE AIR HANDLING UNIT WHEN I MENTIONED THAT IT HAD BEEN SERVICED EARLIER. WORK WAS PERFORMED IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER WITH DETAILED EXPLANATIONS GIVEN WITHOUT HESITATION WHEN REQUESTED. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE IN THE LAKE NORMAN AREA.
