Mike and Brent did a great job both with providing a timely estimate and completing the project. They tore out our old fence, hauled it away and put in a new fence with two gates. Everything looks great. We had put in a bunch of new plants and I was afraid that some would get damaged, but they were very careful. The work looks great and the gates are really sturdy. We were out of town when the work was done, so Brent sent us pictures to let us know how it was going.

Brent was very responsive and professional throughout our interactions. He responded within a day of my query and then came out to give us an estimate within a week. They are booked up and it took about a month to get us on the schedule, but now I understand why. They do a fantastic job. I would highly recommend their service, and will be reaching out to them in the future should we need anymore work done on our fence.

All interactions were professional. Work was done to a high standard, and the worksite was left clean when complete. Online payment was easy to complete.

Carolina Wood Fence is a family run business and I would highly recommend them to anyone. My wife and I purchased a home and we were looking to put in a white picket fence around our house as well as some lattice work beneath our deck to prevent our little children from crawling underneath the deck. We obtained multiple quotes from highly rated Angie's List providers but Carolina Wood Fence was both our favorite as well as the most affordable. I dealt mostly with Brent Spath regarding our job. He works as a firefighter as well, he is easily reachable by phone and email. It took a few weeks once we paid to be scheduled for the new fence but they showed up and completed the job in one day. I had to call them twice back to the job as there were some fence posts that were splintered at the ends from the chainsaw and one of the posts on the gate had a large splinter in it and we were concerned someone could be injured so we asked them to fix these issues . Brent was very receptive and both times his team came promptly to address these issues with no questions asked and no additional charge. We were pleased with this experience and would certainly use them again for any future fence work.

Brent arrived at my house and listened carefully to the work that I wanted done. He was very helpful with his suggestions and gave me a fair estimate for what turned out to be a big job. We scheduled the installation for approximately 2 months later. Brent kept me updated as the time for the installation approached and since I couldn't be home on the first day of work he stopped by to walk the fence with me and make sure they were clear on what was to be done. On the appointed day, Mike and his team got right to work and took down the entire fence and got a good start on replacing the back fence. All told, it was a three day job and we now have a beautiful new fence. The crew was very friendly, efficient, professional, and hard working. They were also very thoughtful of my neighbors. I would definitely recommend Carolina Wood Fence!

Everything is absolutely perfect! We contacted Brent, and he promptly got back with us about an estimate. He kept in contact with us by phone and email throughout the process leading up to the date it was built. He was always polite and helpful throughout the process. We are very pleased with the promptness in which he was able to respond to our questions and needs. The materials were delivered the day before and Brent/workers arrived punctually on the day it was built. Brent made sure everything was correct, and the workers were pleasant and did a quality job! (especially in the scorching heat!) Everything was cleaned up, and you couldn't tell they were there! (except our beautiful new fence!) We are very happy with our fence and are so excited our dogs now have a place to run free!!

This team was very easy to work with. Came out a couple times to confirm the location of the fence. Also assisted with a neighbor and used part of their fence to save money. (One side was shared). They completed the job quickly and the price did not change. I would recommend.

Not only did they complete a very professional installation, they performed some repairs on the neighbors fences while working on mine. They asked questions about cabling the irrigation system (even though they were marked) to ensure nothing was broken. The installation crew were a delight, obviously enjoying their work and wanting to deliver a great job. And they did. The quality of the materials was much better than what I have observed on other fences in the neighborhood and much superior to the materials available at local DYI stores. If you want a new fence or repairs to an old fence, call these guys.

Brent came to my house to give me an estimate on fence removal and replacement. It was obvious that he knew what he was talking about - I had utmost confidence in him immediately. He gave me an estimate on the spot and also told me how far out the project would be (8-10 weeks). He stayed in touch with me via email and wound up getting me on his schedule even earlier than expected! When the crew showed up for work, it was raining a little, but they went ahead and got started. During the day, it poured rain, yet they stuck with the job and actually did excellent work. They cleaned up the work site and had everything finished in one day! I actually felt badly about one thing - there were some branches and vines from my neighbors' yards that were tangled in my old fencing. The guys cleaned all that stuff up where I wasn't able to reach it. Everything looks so nice and clean now! I highly recommend using Carolina Wood Fence - you will not regret it!

I struggled to find a fence company that did repairs and was happy to discover Carolina Wood Fence via Angie's List. Mike quickly came out to look at our problem areas and give us an estimate. Lots of rain in the month of April kept him from doing this work till the end of the month but I would get weekly phone calls that let me know he had not forgotten about us. They arrived on time on 4/24 and the work was done quickly and well. The price we agreed upon was perhaps a little high but not unreasonable for the amount of work and the high-quality materials involved. I would recommend this company with no hesitation.

It went fantastic. Brent was waiting for me at the house so he was early. We walked the property one more time to ensure exact gate placement and the property lines. (We had walked it 3 times previous for measurements and general input). Brent then briefed his crew and explained exactly what had to be done and where. And they went to work. It was a hot day and very humid but the installers worked hard and steady. From start to finish they were courteous and professional. They asked several times if everything looked good and explained why things were done a certain way. They even dug 15 extra holes for me for some shrubs and small trees. (I bribed them with free pizza for lunch, tho I'm sure they would have done it anyway). The fence looked great, they cleaned up the mess and I had neighbors gawking at the fence within the hour. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend them for any fencing needs.

I called the guy and he didn't sound too interested because it was a small job. He said he had another guy who handled small jobs. He called me once to tell me that he didn't know when he could come to price the job. And I've not heard back from him for almost a week and a half.

The price we agreed upon was reasonable for the amount of work and the high-quality materials involved, and the new fence looks terrific. Brent and his crew were professional at all times and performed the job with a minimum of disruption to our day-to-day household activities. This family-owned business, run by dedicated firefighters, did a quality and speedy job. Brent came out for a free estimate and spent a good hour going over all of our options and solutions for problem areas in the yard. Even after having the surveyor come out and the property lines changing a bit, Brent still came out a second time to discuss the new borders. They were able to work with us in scheduling the work a couple months out, and showed up exactly when they said they would. We were kept informed throughout the whole process and they finished the fence in three days. They even cleared out some good-sized trees for us. When I had a few issues with the gates and the latches, the guys were continually sent back out to fix them. I was also told that they would send someone out within the next 6 months if we found any issues later. Communication was outstanding.

This is a very well run company. They called me back immediately and listened to what I needed. Brent made several trips to the property to ensure it was installed in the correct place. The materials were delivered on time. The installers were like a "well oiled" machine. They were able to complete the job in one day. They were incredibly neat. The installers were personable and professional. The cost was reasonable. If you are looking for a company to install fencing this is the company to do the job!!!!

These guys were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They explained my options to me clearly and discussed ways to work around some tricky terrain on our property where trees had started growing through the existing fence. The crew arrived promptly at our home the day work commenced and they were professional and friendly during their entire time on our property. Looking at the work itself, the fence is absolutely perfect. The posts along each side of the fence are in perfect alignment and it is clear that there was a meticulous attention to detail when this work was performed. The new fence gives our home some much-need privacy and curb appeal and I look forward to working with Carolina Wood Fence again in the future. I give them the highest recommendation without hesitation.

A tree fell and crushed my back fence. I got in touch with Carolina Wood Fence and Steve came out assessed the damage and we discussed what needed to be replaced. I also wanted the front gate section replaced as my dog could go under it and get out. They put me into their schedule and came out on Dec. 8 and removed the old fencing and replaced it and installed 2 gates (much better than the 2 original ones). They hauled all the old fencing and gates out and picked up any stray materials. I am very happy with their job.

Carolina Wood Fence was great to work with - they showed up on time to provide the estimate and worked with us on a date before the holidays. They worked quickly and cleaned up the excess mess - drill shavings, dirt, etc. They even helped me deal with an obnoxious neighbor. Plus the fence looks great - the only ones not happy are the dogs - because they can no longer escape!!! Great job, would highly recommend.

I received several emails during the estimation process as we worked on the details. Then I got a final estimate to e-sign. This made the quote process easy. The company was very responsive and also accommodated a slight change I wanted to the top of he fence. We did half payment over the phone. They arranged for the utilities to be marked the week before the job. The materials were delivered two days (Saturday) before the day of the work (Monday). Monday am the crew arrived and got to work. They introduced themselves and identified the work foreman to me. They did all the quiet stuff before 10am before they had to switch on any equipment. By 3pm the job was done. I was able to make the final payment again over the phone. The fence is great and my husband assures me the quality of the work is excellent. I had a concern about a couple of areas the the crew made sure my dogs would not get through those areas. We also had a potential problem with some old chain link fencing that needed to be disposed. If you ever need to get rid of chain link, be aware they that the city/county here won't pick it up and the dump won't take it. My husband had access to a construction dumpster and told the crew they could take it there. In the end the crew took the old chain link fencing with them to dispose of somewhere else. Womderful.

We hired Carolina Wood Fence in July of 2010. The owner came out measured. I showed him pictures of what type of fence i would like to have. He gave us an estimate and we agreed on the work. They were able to do the job very swiftly. They came during the week day and knocked the job out in a matter of hours. We are not experts so in our eyes the fence looked fine. Here is where the problems have since begun....A couple years later we get a letter from our home owners association telling us we are not allowed to have a privacy fence. We then called Mike back asked him how much to recitify the problem. He gave us a quote of 500.00 to remove every other picket. We agreed. Both the owner and the worker said when you are ready for us to fill in the gap let us know we will come back out and give you a great price. Well this year that time has come. We called Mike back gave him the spec details we got from our home owners association. He came back with 1000.00 quote using a picket that still would not be within the legal specs that the HOA told us! He then asked me...do you think they will let you get away with that? After spending over 500.00 to get the pickets removed and then spending another 1000.00 to get every other picket installed who would risk that take and take the chance! I said...uhhhh no i want to pay and have it done correctly this time. He said oh well in that case it is going to be 1500-2000. At this time i chose to take my business else where. I hired another fence professional to come look at the fence who by the way charged us only half of what Carolina Wood Fence were going to charge us. They were baffled at how crooked our fence was! They kept asking...who did your fence? It was A. Not on the property line B. It was not up to HOA code and C. Now to top it all off our fence was crooked! He ended up having to totally re-due our gate, re shave the tops because they were not all the same size at the top, as well as install more pickets and posts at the bottom to ensure that our fence wasn't as crooked as it was. He actually insisted that we let him tear the entire thing down and start from scratch but we couldn't afford that. Fast forward a few months...My neighbor is now getting a fence. The fence professionals wants to connect our fences. As we are outside discussing if this is something i am willing to do. I over hear the worker yell to the owner that he entire back of our fence is crooked and is off by 5 feet. He then said i have never seen something like this before in my life! The worker then looks at me and says...i don't think we will be able to connect them. He then asks me...."Did your husband install this fence?!!!" What person you know who has paid over 3500 on a fence wants to hear that! I am not the professional i did not go out there with a machine to ensure our lines were straight however, that is why you do hire a professional! I am beyond disgusted and frustrated with this company. Looking back on this entire ordeal. 1. They should have hired someone to check our property line and ensure they were installing our fence correctly. 2. They should have contacted our HOA to ensure they were installing a fence that was up to code. 3. They could have simply uninstalled the picket cut it in half and saved us another 1000.00. However, that was way to much work for they. They are the fast food of fence installation. They do very fast work....however their fast work may cost you big in the end!
