Ordered flowers on Monday for my daughter to be delivered at Western Carolina. Gave them her class schedule when ordering so they would not call during her classes. They did anyway. Took 2 days to get them delivered (was done today) because they didn't listen on the times I told them to call and then when my daughter did get them, the card had her name spelled wrong. I called them and told them what happened. They offered to "deliver her another card." Explained that the damage had already been done (that's the first thing my daughter said was Momma, they're pretty but they spelled my name wrong!) A person's name is one of the most important things to a person and no one wants to be called by a wrong name or have it spelled wrong--especially on something that was to have sentimental value in the future (she had just gotten accepted into something that she wanted desperately!) The woman at the floral shop said that "we're human and just made a mistake." Fine. I get that mistakes happen but in a customer service based industry, you do SOMETHING to make it right! These flowers cost me nearly $45 (for a mug of daisies with a couple yellow roses) so definitely not cheap to begin with. I didn't want a full credit...she got the flowers. However, even a 10% offering would have been nice because THEY messed up. It was right at the "top of the ticket" per the rep but when it was typed into the card system, a letter got dropped off. PROOFREAD!!! Then she had the audacity to say "well, we just have too many orders due to Valentine's Day and we're working overtime just to keep up!" REALLY??? Oh my goodness!!!! Hire new people then!! That is completely NOT an acceptable reason especially when Valentine's Day is still 10 days away (nor is that acceptable even if the order was the day before Valentine's Day!!) That was a cop out! Looks like Sylva, NC ought to be the place to open a floral shop if that's how Ray's Flowers treats their customers! My daughter has at least 3.5 years left in the area...I order flowers frequently...I will be ordering them another way from now on. They lost what would have been a great customer for less than $5!
Description of Work: Ordered flowers to celebrate a very big once in a lifetime event (acceptance into her desired sorority at Western Carolina University).
