Wonderful service! I have used Zookeepers twice now with a third turn coming up soon. Very professional small business company. Answered all questions I had. Very easy to get ahold of 24 hours a day while I'm gone. Well worth the money to have a peace of mind about the animals while I'm gone. Absolutely no issues at the house when I come home. I strongly recommend this service to anyone. Oh and the staff has experience with all kinds of breeds, I was afraid they would not take care of my Chow Chow - but absolutely not the case - the chow loves these guys - since they feed him!

They were fantastic! My wife and I highly recommend Zookeepers pet sitting service. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and highly competent. They took care of our 8 cats, some in door and some out door, one of which is diabetic who requires insulin injections, as well as a 17 year old 150lb pot belly pig who doesn't always like to go out when he should. We also have a pit bull that they looked after as well. The Zookeeper staff continued the same positive training techniques and commands in our absence. Their rates are fair and reasonable. They quickly return phone calls, and left very detailed reports on what happened with the animals during my family vacation. It was our trust in the Zookeepers that allowed us to enjoy our trip knowing that our pets were well taken care of.

They are fantastic. This is the second time we have used them. In fact, they were taking care of our animals during the tornados that hit Sanford and Fayetteville. Due to the storms, we cut our trip short and when we arrived home, the girls (dogs) we outside, playing in the yard, and Jen's husband was scooping the cat box by flashlight, which I myself would not of even done. Getting a return call is difficult, but I can overlook that when they take such great care of my animals. I will use Jen service as long as we are stationed here. One thing you have to remember when using Zookeepers is that they service a large area and she is extremely busy, not to mention, cell service is spotty out here. Don't pass them up just because you do not get a return call right-a-way, they are worth the wait.

I first contracted with Jen in October 2006 and have been using her services ever since. She has always been very responsible and professional. I am a nurse and work long shifts. On the days that I work (3-4 per week), Jen comes to my house to let my precious pet out to go to the bathroom, feeds him, and plays with him. My neighbors, who have seen her around the neighborhood with Tucker (my dog) have even commented on how good she is with him. She was a complete godsend during my husband's 15 month deployment. I never had to worry about whether or not Tucker was getting taken care of. She has also definitely gone above and beyond when Tucker was ill. When she came to do Tucker's walk, she found that he had vomited all in his crate. She called me at work to let me know that he had been ill and to ask me what I wanted her to do. She cleaned his crate (and the wall). When I got home, she had done such a good job that I could not even tell that he had gotten sick. She then came back later that afternoon to check on him because she was worried about him. I had not asked her to come back, she just did it because she was concerned about the dog (he did turn out to be ill and need surgery). In another instance, she actually took Tucker to the vet for me because he was ill and I was at work. Now if you ask me, that is caring service that is above and beyond! There have been several instances where I have called her to get same day service and she was able to accommodate. In two years, she has never told me "no". She would even send her husband over if she herself was not able to do it! One time when I was out of town, my husband was called into work at 9pm. He called Jen (at 9pm) and she agreed to come first thing in the morning to let Tucker out. What a relief! I have never worked with a service that has been so flexible and reliable. When she has come to my house to do key exchanges, etc...Tucker gets so excited to see her. He loves when she comes around. I am not currently living in Fayetteville (we had to leave for 6 months), but we will definitely be asking Jen to care for Tucker when we move back in a few weeks.

Ms. Shank came to our home took care of our 3 dogs and 4 cats. Two days before our departure, we e-mailed her to confirm the date and time she would come for her first visit. She read the e-mail, did not respond to it and we had to call her. When we spoke with her, she had the date incorrect with us leaving 3 days later than what had been contracted. On the day of our departure, we called her at 9:00AM and left a voice mail message for her to call us to confirm that she was going to be at our house on that day. We drove for over 6 hours and no call from Ms. Shank. We stopped and waited in a parking lot and kept calling her until she finally called us back. She is very unreliable. When you give a representative the keys to your home and the task of taking care of your animals, you should get a a confirmation that they are indeed going to do it. We gave her a deposit of $310.00 three weeks before our departure and paid her $320.00+ on the day of our departure. We were gone for 14 days. When we returned we found a bill for an additional $15.00 for an additional visit that we did not contract for. We sent her a detailed message outlining how unhappy we were and requested that she return our keys immediately. She did not respond until approximately 10 hours later, she phoned and said she would bring the keys by. When she did drop off the keys, she simply rang the door bell and when I opened the door, she handed me the keys without any apology or explanation. All during our vacation, we were concerned if our animals were indeed being cared for. It put a strain on our vacation from day one. There was no point in calling or e-mailing her with her history of not returning e-mails or phone calls. We would not recommend her to anyone.
