This work was done on a 50 year old house.  From the very first contact with Cindy Otto, it seemed like they would perform the work as if it was on their own home.  The estimate and contract was very detailed as to what the work would be and costs were broken down into sections; siding, gutters, paint, etc.  The work was completed as scheduled. All members of their team (in the office and onsite) were professional and courteous. Talked to Paul a couple of times and he showed an interest in the project work. Even stopping the work for a few days for an out of town trip was not an issue.  A final walk thru was scheduled with either Paul Otto, Cindy Otto or the foreman on the project. Cindy arrived as scheduled and looked and items we had, wrote them up, took pictures and had them all completed within 2 days.  House looks much better!!

Project was completed in one day and on budget. it involved a separate portion of the roof on a contemporary, two story house.
What was done:
1. removal and disposal of existing shingles
2. replace damaged plywood sheeting where necessary
3. installed new underlayment
4. replaced boots, vent covers, and flashing as necessary
5. re-shingled roof
6. installed ridge vent and cap
7. ice and water leak barrier installed at critical areas
The project went smoothly [no surprises] and was completed per the estimate. As had been the case with a prior project done by Otto's Exteriors, the workmanship, professionalism and efficiency of the crew was extremely high.

Otto's did a great job, high quality work, quickly. The work was finished in 2 days. They used high quality product and cleaned up after themselves well.

We have a contemporary style house which in our opinion required a somewhat unique treatment. After talking with and getting estimates from several contractors, Otto's Exteriors and Paul Otto in particular was the only one able to give us what we wanted.
The siding had to be installed vertically and window/door trim had to be neat and uncluttered.....
1. any rotten siding [cedar] and trim was removed and replaced with filler.
2. window and door trim were fir-ed out
3.. insulation panels were installed over the entire house
4. Alside Charter Oak [gray] siding [solid soffit] was installed vertically
5. all facsia board,rake boards, door and window trim, gable vents were caped with Alside trim coil in midnight blue
6. sofit was covered with Alside solid and vented sofit
7. 5 mulit panel [3 and 4 panels per window] windows were installed
8. Centurion Stone was installed on around doors on front and rear walls from deck to roof line
9. back porch was rescreened, new door installed and painted
The entire job took about 2 weeks. The crew, with Denis as crew chief, showed up as expected every day. If they were going to be delayed Denis advised us beforehand. I could not have been more satisfied with their efficiency, work ethic, professionalism, and courtesy. I can say the same for both the stone masons and painters.
Any problems or issues that developed were explained to us by Denis and/or Paul as the occured. The area was cleaned every evening before they left.
Of course some issues did develope, it's to be expected, in every case a resolution was proposed and  put into action immediately.
Given the scope of the job and having received quotes for other contractors, we considered the cost of the job to be quite reasonable and seeing the final product has only confirmed that. The job was completed as per the bid.

From estimate to finished job was a complete pleasure.  Workmanship is excellent.  Crew was prompt and cleaned p each day.  I would highly recommend Paul and his crew for any further work I need.

We are very happy with our new roof. We signed up at a home show to get an estimate, and the estimator arrived as scheduled. He was very professional and thorough. After getting other quotes, this was the best deal. We called to let them know and got a sample of the exact shingle, and less than 2 weeks later we had a new roof (it would have been sooner but it didn't fit our schedule). We were able to arrange interest-free financing directly through their website, which was very easy.
They showed up as promised and completed the gutter removal, soffit repair and full roof replacement in less than 2 days. It was mostly done the first day; they came back the 2nd day to finish in the attic and do a final sweep to be sure they picked up all debris, about another 1-2 hours late in the day when it worked on our schedule. We found no stray nails debris once they were gone, and we are delighted with the roof - especially after all the rain we have had in May and June. They also left a full pack of shingles (plus a few extras), so if there are any problems in the future they can make repairs swiftly. We highly recommend Otto's Exteriors.

Did exactly what they said they would at a price that could not be beat and in the timeframe that was desired. Communication was excellent and so was the service. The new roof looks great!. Would most certainly use them again. This was a home purchase & all parties involved are very pleased.

Based on Angie's List recommendations, I called Otto's Exteriors for an estimate to repair or replace my porch roof.  Scott Bulifant was at my house at the scheduled time before the end of that same business day!  He was prompt, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.  He talked me through what he saw, how he would recommend fixing it, showed me roof shingle samples, and went through the possible contingencies for price variation based on quality and name brand of the selected shingles.  He left a written estimate with me before he left my home.  While we are still in the process of getting estimates from other Angie's List roofing companies, his estimate is among the most reasonable thus far, and his promptness and professionalism have me leaning in his direction.  This is the most positive experience I have had thus far among the four Angie's List roofing companies I have contacted.

They provided a detailed and professional estimate so that there were no surprises.  Furthermore, they did a great job for a fair price.

Everything went well.  They did the work as promised, were on time, and charged a reasonable price.  The only issue is that the shingles that they replaced didn't match the rest of the roof.  When we brought this to their attention, they replied that that specific color was no longer manufactured.  This seemed odd considering that our roof is black.

Paul was always available on call if I needed him.  Furthermore, he did a good job with the installation and charged a fair price.  As a bonus, the windows were actually made in the United States.

They did a very good job with the installation, and they charged a very competitive price considering the quality of the windows.  The only issue is that the job would have gone a bit more smoothly if they had sent more than one installer to complete the work.

I put a request out for estimates to have my roof replaced in September 2010 and had three or four different companies to come to my home and give me an estimate.  I selected Otto's Exteriors as they responded to my request very promptly, provided a very professional experience with giving the estimate, and while not the lowest cost estimate, was fair.  Paul Otto, the owner, was the person who came to do the estimate and I found him to be very knowledgable and willing to provide answers to my many questions.  I found him to be extremely honest and down-to-earth.
Once I made the decision to go with Otto's, they set the date for the roof replacement when convenient for me, the roofers arrived when they said they would, completed the job well and in the timeframe they had told me. They cleaned up extremely well, too.  The cost of my roof at that time was around $5600.00 for 35-year shingles.
In late 2012, when I needed six windows replaced, I called them back and received the same level of quality  They were extremely responsive when I called them, answering my call within a couple of hours, and met with me within two days to select my windows and set a date to install which was convenient for me.   The workmen were very polite, professional, and took great care when working inside not to track dirt in, etc.  That job was approximately $2500.00.
All in all, I will be calling them back with further work when needed.  I highly recommend them.

The estimate was for 13,000.  The experience was fine.  They seemed professional.  I thought their price was a little higher than some other estimates but I ended up getting it covered by the insurance so price turned out not to be an issue.  I will not be using them because I got a new roof.

Over all, we are very pleased with the work performed and the response to questions along the way.  I would recommend Otto's to anyone looking for a new roof.

All the work was done exactly as promised.  They showed up at the exact time stated (8am) and all work was completed by the end of the next day.  No muss, no fuss, no problems.   Cleanup was also completed as promised with nothing left behind except a new roof for my neighbors to admire.
