Fantastic! Bob Crane, the owner, is a 5 star professional. He came out on a weekend to assess the damage and prepare a quote, submitted the quote to me within 24 hours. He respected my need for a couple days to decide what I wanted to do. He followed up as requested. He came to my house today ON TIME with a full crew and the right equipment to get the job done. We will need another tree to come down in the next 6 months and I will be calling Bob to do that job, too. Highly recommended!!

Don’t let Bob’s gruff demeanor fool you – he knows what he is doing, and he cares about doing the job right. He brought a crew of 5 with him, including a crewmember to climb and take the trees down in pieces (unless the tree was so dead that it was unsafe to do so), an articulating loader with turf tires (vs a bobcat) to transport the tree pieces, and a massive chipper. His crew worked efficiently and carefully, using ropes to control falling limbs/trees, minimizing collateral damage to our surrounding trees, and cleaning up all tree debris. The crew was friendly and polite. They even pointed out and took care of another dead Ash tree that became visible and had a much clearer line to the house once the other trees had been removed. Scheduling can be tricky with tree removal due to weather, emergency work, and other factors, so if you are looking for an exact date/time with plenty of notice, you'll need to adjust your expectations. Bob told us that we were on his schedule for the following week, then called the next week the morning of to say he was headed our way that day. This worked fine for me because I work from home. Overall, we are very satisfied with the work done by Bob Crane and his crew, and we will use his services again when we have the need.

Nicole Crane came with the crew to provide the service. They arrived as promised. The service was completed quickly and the clean up was excellent.

Awesome! I called him and he answered right away, He let me know when he'll be here and he took the trees down or lifted it without damaging our house, there were no mess left in the yard. What he quoted us to do the job was exactly the cost after the service. Everything was fine and perfect, I'd recommend him again. He was honest, he explained us what he would do and he's just a nice guy and I trust him. He was prompt and he was able to get the job quickly .

If you need trees removed and/or stumps ground, do not hesitate to use Stumpys. Bob is a consummate professional and his crew know exactly what they are doing. It was almost surgical watching them take off the limbs and then remove the tree. They then ground the stumps and even raked it all into a pile. They were meticulous, picked up pine cones, blew off the driveway and believe it or not, they were the least expensive of the quotes I got. And sometimes it seems skeptical when you get a lower price and think maybe the work won't be up to par. No concern if you hire these guys. My neighbors came over and hired them on the spot to take down 2 of their trees too...and they are really nice people. Highly, highly recommend them.

The crew arrived at the scheduled time and made quick work of the two trees contracted to be removed. The tree stumps were ground down a foot below the soil level. The areas were raked of debris and the missing trees were the only indication anyone had been working in the yard. The price was competitive and reasonable for the work performed.

Bob and his crew are timely and efficient! He has all of the needed equipment and crew to quickly dispose of major tree cutting tasks. My back yard is small yet had a large number of trees which they quickly handled on two separate occasions in the matter of hours. Very impressive to see them work so efficiently! I would highly recommend this company!

Great - I have hired Bob for a number of jobs over the past 10 years and I have been pleased and called him back every time. He responds quickly to view the job and provide an estimate, and then is very quick and punctual about completing the work. His team has always done a very thorough job cleaning up any debris from the yard.

First tree removal was very dead and was removed. Poison ivy gone. Got their name from another business I know to be good. Do not remember the price but fair or I would remember it. Black oak I was just told was alive and well. Leave alone. Honest people. Amazing. Actually two different dates covered here. Oak today and 3 months ago.

They came with some large and adequate equipment for the job. They had 4 people on the removal team and they practiced safety. They were gone in about 3 hours and the trees were gone.

He was wonderful. The price was really reasonable for all the work that he did. He was a very nice man. I would absolutely use them again.

They were the only ones who could come right away when we had a tree come down over our neighbor's driveway. They did a good job. I didn't have time to go for quotes, it was an emergency. Their price was high but other than that they did everything I wanted them to do. I would let the quote anyways.

Originally I asked Bob for a quote to remove an ornamental maple tree that had grown too large for a confined space close to the house.   After looking at the tree Bob informed me he would not be able to get a stump grinder in there due to the confined space and suggested trimming as an alternative and I agreed.   At that point I told him I also had 6 crepe myrtles that could use trimming.   He verbally quoted me a price range for all based on my description, to which I agreed.  The maple is approx. 30' high, two of the crepes maybe slightly taller, the remainder probably no more than 20' to 25'.   After a completion, he billed me $475 which was at the very top of quoted range.  Cost seemed excessive to me given the size of the trees, however, I did not shop the quote around so I really don't know for sure.  He quoted me for 7 trees but somehow missed one and only trimmed 6.  He returned  within a week and took care of the missed tree. 

The quality of the work looked pretty good, however, I noticed a couple of cuts that probably could have been cleaner.   The Angie's List review form only allows you to check "Yes" or "No" to the question "Would you use this provider in the future?".    I checked "No" based solely on price, however, the real answer is "Maybe".   I would just do a little better homework up front and get multiple quotes and a firm price before making a decision.
