tI took it in for an oil change and while there they used pressure tactics and visual aids to show me that the various fluids in my car needed replaced. I finally said yes to them but regretted it later when I talked to another mechanic I sometime go do he explained how the chemistry of modern fluids in my car (and all new cars) work for a very long time without needing frequent replacement. They just need to be topped off from time to time. I used to use Taylor regularly because i felt like I could trust them to figure out the least expensive way to maintain my car, but something changed. Now I go elsewhere. I've no doubt the mechanics in there are pretty good..just not sure about the people calling the shots now.

I found Taylor Automotive on the Internet.  Taylor was one of the shops recommended by Re-Involt who makes hybrid batteries.  I was nervous about traveling at distance to have repairs performed on my car.  As soon as I walked in the door I immediately releived.  The business was clean the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about my car.  They even provided shuttle service to the downtown area which was delightful.  The gentleman who repaired my car was fantastic.  He was so incrediably patient with me r: the 500 questions I had about my car.  I thought the cost of the repairs were reasonable and worth the trip.  I told the staff at Taylor Automotive they could market get away mini vacations to have your car serviced and enjoy the town of Sanford :)

Got an estimate of 125.00 to recharge air conditioner. Went to pick it up and they told me the condenser was bad. So they replaced it then it was the pump then the hose then the switch. When they told me the price I did some searching on my own. I showed them where I could get the parts for half there cost. They told me fine we will take out our parts but we will still charge you for labor. Since that experience in my opinion stay away from them there the worst crooks in town. To late for me hope this helps someone else.

They have excellent service and they are very honest and very fair. We never feel like we are getting cheated and they always explain what they are doing. They always do a good job. We have a 20 year old Volkswagen and they are always good about telling us what needs to be fixed and what we don't need to worry about. If there is something I can do myself, they will tell me so they are not charging me for something that is not necessary to do.
