Epperson's Tree Service

We were pleased with the work. Good prices. Fast work. Two were large and close to the house but they cut them down without damaging any of our property. They cleaned up so nicely that you couldn't tell they had cut one tree down. No mess. Just the stump.

Contacted Dale to come out to inspect several very large trees that looked like they maybe should be removed and I wanted to have a spruce tree that had been topped by a previous owner removed and the stump ground.
Dale arrived as scheduled inspected the trees that I was concerned with and he agreed they looked bad explaining that white pine take a beating in the winter but that the trees were healthy.
Dale gave me an estimate for removing the Spruce and grinding the stump and chipping up the tree. As we are only there part time we fit into his schedule when we were not present. I confirmed with a phone call that the work had been done and mailed him a check.
Next time we were at the house we found that he had done an excellent job.

After receiving what I considered to be a very fair bid for removing a large dying tree in front of my home, I hired Dale to do the work. The Epperson crew descended on my home at 3:00 pm. They rolled into the neighborhood with chipper trucks, mini track hoe, dump truck, crane and a crew of about 8 guys. They quickly set up their equipment, removed the tree one section at a time with the crane lowering each section to the street where the guys on the ground quickly stripped the limbs, chipped them and loaded the large logs into the dump truck. When a neighbor came over to ask why I was removing the tree, one of the men in the tree noticed the conversation. After he was back on the ground he disappeared and then showed back up and told me he had spoken with the neighbor about the tree and explained its diseased condition. I was very impressed with the fact that he took the initiative to make sure my neighbors weren't upset with me removing the tree. The rest of the crew was amazing as well. They left things spotless! The only damage on my property was one 4" branch on a butterfly bush that was broken off! One of the truck rolled over a curb and messed up a small piece of ground on a neighbor's property and these guys made sure it was back in top shape before they left. Everything was cleaned up and the crews gone by 5:30pm! 2.5 hours of awesomeness. Will call them in the future and have already recommended them to 2 neighbors!

Today Dale climbed up much higher on those same 8 pine trees he worked on last year, cutting more
branches that were much higher up off and then swung from the first
tree to the one next to it like a monkey as he worked on each tree one
right after the other. He also cut down a pear tree which
had had
fire blight last year and his assistant did a beautiful job of artfully
trimming a few smaller fruit trees. They also thinned out some big
bushes and Dale did some strategic trimming of branches on a Red oak
and the big Magnolia tree in my front yard that he'd worked on last
year. Not only did they get rid of the branches but they raked away all
the small stuff. So when they left, my yard was neat as a pin!
I obviously think he does terrific work as I've used him twice. In fact of
all the contractors I've used from Angie's list (painters, handymen and
tiling contractors) the quality of his work overall and my experience
overall with Epperson's Tree Service was stellar. The others weren't
even in the ball park. I guess that is to be expected. The top 20% in any industry do 80%
of the good work and Epperson's Tree Service is definitely up there among Arborists.

I called Dale in mid-August. Dale returned my call promptly and came out to our rental property AND home to give us an estimate. We agreed to move forward with both jobs. The job on our rental property was performed September 4th with no problem and we were very satisfied. We needed to have a large tree removed as well as some brush from our home. We had to call Dale to remind him about the second job. He had forgotten about it so scheduled the tree removal in early October. He never showed. In mid-October Dale was left a phone message and was spoken to in person about the work at our home. He never returned the call so we contracted with another firm. We were surprised to see Dale show with a crew on November 25th to remove the tree. There was no notice...he just showed up. When he was told we had contracted with another firm he just left. No apology - no nothing. Something is wrong with this business. Communication is lousy.

The guys came out that morning and cleared the street, and then in the afternoon came out and removed all the trees from our yard. I called them that morning, and the trees were gone when I got home, and the yard and street were all cleaned up. Great job and I will definitely use them and refer them again. I just hope my trees can stay upright - 2 events in a few months is too much.

Dale Epperson was really good and is the owner of Epperson's Tree Service. It was well worth the money. They did a lot of yard clean up as far as trees and trimming and cutting down those that weren't necessary. The guy showed up when he said he was going to show up. He's a real young kid compared to my age. He's probably in his late 30s and has been doing this with his dad since he was 11 years old, so he's a full fledged arborist and knows trees like I can't believe. He was just really outstanding and he had a crew out here and in about 3 1/2 to 4 hours they were completely done with a very large project. I'm just really impressed with him and he's just a young guy that really knows what he's doing.

Epperson is very professional, knew exactly what he was doing, and it didn't take him very long. I trusted him with the safety of my home. His prices were fair.

Dale was on time for both the estimate and the actual job. The job took a full day, with Dale and his team not wasting any time. The team was courteous, clean, and careful.

Tree fell in morning, I called Dale at around 4 when I got home, and he sent someone out around 6. He gave me an estimate and we looked around to see if anything else needed to be done. We also talked about the possiblity of saving the other trees in the cluster. We decided it was best to take them all out since one was showing insect damage and the others were weeker now that the one tree had become detached.

I called that night and confirmed our decision to use Dale, and when I came home the next day, the trees were gone and the area was all cleaned up. Dale gave me the recommendation of a stump man and that was taken care of by the weekend.

I thought they did a great job and I would use them again.

FANTASTIC!!! One of the nicest, most professional encounters with a business owner I have ever had. We have used him before, so should have expected same outcome, and we were NOT disappointed. He was willing to work with us on the price/payment and provided a few hours of free entertainment for the kids after school...with my oldest saying to me when I walked through the door from work...and quot;Dad, Mr. Epperson must be part squirrel or something...he jumped from tree to tree and was swinging from this branch to that...and quot;

He ensured clean up was meticulously completed as promised and we could NOT be happier. Dale is simply a class act, and well worth the price we paid. He is a great family man and took extra time to talk with my kids about trees and was available patiently to answer their questions and converse with my family in a refreshingly hospitable, respectful and mannered way.

This was a first class experience, more punctual, much cheaper, quicker and more professional than the 5 times we'd used another provider in the past. Dale and his crew arrived on time and immediately removed the stack of limbs from the back yard and chipped them and blew them onto the front yard. They began at 8:30 AM and finished at Noon. Eight trees in all were removed from the front and side yards. They even took the time before leaving to remove two trees from our next door neighbors yard and charged him only $50. We are so totally pleased that we will be asking Dale Epperson to return soon to remove a good many more trees, some diseased, some small, some rather large. He also recommended a stump removal company that is more efficient and cheaper than most others. An A+++ experience.

It was excellent service. I don't remember how much I spent on their service. I liked their promptness. Their price was very competitive. They just did an excellent job. I would recommend them for promptness and service. I plan to use them in the future.
