Holly Leaf Apartments

When we moved her in, the apartment was fairly clean, and had a new floor in the kitchen area. We inspected the apartment and found a problem with the window closing fully and the lock on that window in the 2nd bedroom. This problem was reported but never corrected. My daughter complained more than once about the loud stereo/TV from the apartment next door as well as the constant smell of cigarettes leaching from that apartment into her apartment. Nothing was ever done, and her calls to the office were not returned. When she found out the date she would be moving out, she provided written notice, which had to be placed in the office mailbox since no one was manning the office at the time. When it came time to move out, the office claimed they never got the notice. They were paid in full for the month of May, 2010, but my daughter was only in the apartment for one week of the month, but Tina in the Holly Leaf Apartment will not return the three weeks of rent because she claims they never got the notice. Holly Leaf NEVER returned calls in a timely fashion, including calls to their on call pager, and Tina was extremely unpleasant to deal with. She consistently interrupts when trying to speak with her on the phone, and she shows contempt for anything other than her point of view.
