They were very punctual and friendly.  They explained the problems very well.  They talked to us about going ahead with minor repairs.  I don't have anything to compare their prices to.

I used an Angie's list Big Deal to get service on both of our HVAC units.  Technician was on-time, professional and completed the job within the budget.

I wish that all of my contractor experiences were as pleasant. Once I bought the deal on Angie's List, the company contacted me to help with scheduling. The technician came early as I requested so I didn't have to sit around all day waiting for someone to show up. He was very professional, knowledgeable, quick and friendly, and he did a wonderfully thorough job tuning and cleaning up my shamefully dirty AC unit. He was helpful with recommending possible upgrades for me to consider and letting me know what they would cost without hard selling. I was so happy with my service, I signed up for their regular maintenance program to have them come back in winter to tune up the heating system as well. Highly recommended.

I have no issue with the work performed - the problem was diagnosed correctly and promptly resolved.  However,   I thought a $296 charge for a capacitor replacement was excessive.  The charge was broken down as $90 for the diagnostic charge, and $206 for the repair.

When I called to make the appointment they were very friendly and helpful.  I was planned to be the second call of the technicians day and estimated time of arrival was 9am...I think he arrived around 9:45am, however, I did receive a call approximately 30 minutes in advance of him arriving.  I was a little concerned because I was taking time off work and had an 11:30am meeting.

Chris, the technician, arrived and got right to work.  Chris was very friendly and explained everything in plain english.  I told him I had a meeting at 11:30 and he made sure it got finished in time for me to leave for work.

I had a good experience with Yellow Dot and Chris.

It was good. He tested everything, there were two defunct parts from the manufacturer for the unit but they were quick to replace them. They were very nice. They wanted money right away but I said that I would pay them after it worked, and of course it did not at the beginning, but they came back very fast and were here an entire afternoon fixing it. They were well trained, and did it for two thousand dollars lower than other estimates. I would highly recommend them.

I saw that Yellow Dot Heating & Air Conditioning had a Big Deal this week -- $99 for an AC unit inspection, cleaning, tune-up, and refill of refrigerant. I leapt on it right away. And -- zoom! -- just a few hours later later, Alex at Yellow Dot had scheduled someone to come out the very next day.  

I didn't have to spend all day waiting around, as Alex gave me a call to let me know 45 minutes ahead of time that Chris was on his way. Chris arrived promptly and had everything ready to go right off the bat. As I'd paid only $99 for the service, I was expecting a rather cursory inspection and cleaning. But Chris was serious about doing a great job and spent a good two hours inspecting the AC unit and duct work, cleaning out the ducts and the unit itself, checking pressure, and making sure that indoor temperatures matched the thermostat reading inside the house. I made sure that he had Gatorade and orange juice to drink while he labored in the heat (nearly 100 degrees!), never flagging or taking a break.  

I can't imagine many companies offering such attentive and thorough work for only $99 -- it was far more service than I had expected.Chris was super-professional and did a thorough job. He also offered me tips on maintaining AC/heat efficiency (and chided me about not changing filters regularly!).  

You can betcha I'll recommend Yellow Dot to friends and acquaintances, and I've already added their number to my speed-dial to call whenever I need heating & AC service of any type.

They had to come out three times to find out what the issue was. I didn’t like that. They fixed what they had to do. It’s okay now. I would use them in the future.

I believe we got them off of Angie's List.  This is the first time we have used them.  They try to do their very best.  They were punctual, kind, and respectful.

Our new home we are purchasing had HVAC installed by Yellow Dot, and our builder was very happy with both their skill and their pricing.  When our HVAC in our current home went out, we checked Angies List, saw the great feedback, and contacted them.  We met with Jimmy and he was very responsive, highly knowledgable, and very fair on their pricing.  We got a second quote but went with Yellow Dot and are happy we did!  The install crew did a great job and it went quickly and smoothly.  Over all we are very happy with the entire process.  Would I use them again? Absolutely!

HVAC unit wasn't cooling on a 98 degree day (system is 11 years old).  Called several Angie's Listed HVAC companies and Yellow Dot was very responsive.  Called them at 8:30a and their tech was at my house at 3:30p the same day (other companies indicated they could get to me next week - which I totally understood due to the heat wave).   The tech was very professional answered all of my questions and presented me a plan to fix the system.  As he started to do the fix, he discovered something that changed his opinion of whether we should proceed with the fix and he took the time to show me what he found -- which helped me make the decision.   The bad news is that it looks like I am going to have to replace my entire system.

The good news for Yellow Dot is that they have a better than average chance to earn my business (about $7000) because of the way I was treated by the technician.  Here is hoping the installation department is as good as the service department was.

Had an issue with my Heat Pumps. Thought it was going to cost me an arm and a leg. Very worried about who i wass going to call. Yellow Dot came out and fixed the problem for $90.00, which is their standard service rate. I forgot to use my 10% off from Angies List. Technician was very honest. Did not try to push any other products on me, even when I asked about them (Preventative Maintenance Plan). Will go back in the future.

It went well with them. They did their job and did it well. They had competitive prices, good service, and they knew what they were doing. They also have multiple locations.

They provided me with a quote before the project. The sales guy was very nice, very knowledgeable, and very personable. Their price was lower than other quotes I had received. They were very good and very quick. Their price was very competitive. They pretty much walked me through everything they were going to do. They did everything that they had promised.

They were excelltent and were always on time and report.

A horrible experience overall. Service person came late despite a five hour service window appointment. The service person was not knowledgable on the venting and A/C dripping problem which was communicated when service was scheduled. Made a two minute look at AC system while talking on cell phone and five minute look at venting and said there was nothing that he could do. Requested to be paid $90 and would not take a $10 off coupon from the internet.

Our upstairs airconditioner was not working properly, and we had other workmen working in our house so I wanted to make sure it was cool. I called other HVAC service companies but none could come out the same day, so I called Yellow Dot. They got me on the schedule for the same day. The repairman was very courteous and knowledgeable. He determined that we needed freon and he charged the system (which is an old system that we are trying to nurse along). The repairman was very friendly and easy to talk to.

Of the three providers we got estimates from Yellow Dot was the only one that took the time to find out if the parts were under warranty. (They were) This took some research because I was a new owner of the house and had no records of the original istallation. The other two contractors priced full replacement systems starting at $7000. The Yellow Dot estimator easilty saved me $5k

We got four companies to give us estimates. One (Sears) was wa-a-ay out of line. The other three were in the same ballpark, but Yellow Dot's units were newer models for the same price and included a humidifier that no one else offered. All four companies discussed the federal rebate for energy efficiency but only Yellow Dot instructed us to quickly apply for a state rebate before it ran out, which we did. The ultimate cost vis-a-vis the estimate was to the penny, the installation went off on schedule and without a hitch, every member of the company we dealt with was professional, polite, and treated our home with respect. They also did not ask for any payment whatsoever until after the unit was completely installed, working properly and had passed inspection. Would recommend them to anyone without reservation.

Did not have service done - person who arrived had extremely bad body odor that lingered even after he left. I had asked for Tom who had helped me in the past but was told no and given this other person. So even though the service was excellent in the past I was very disappointed in my last experience and do not know if I would call them again because I could not get the person I wanted and the person who came was not very professional.

They've been extremely helpful in getting back to me. Their price was great and we're planning on using them.

Excellent service from the first phone call to the second the crew walked off the job. Punctual, not at all rushed. Took the most time inspecting everything to make sure we got just what we needed. Provided several options and went over all tax benefits etc. Scheduled the appointment for a week later and at 8am the crew arrived and got to work. Done at 2:30. Neat and clean work, cleaned the entire work area when done. Will not hesitate to use again. UPDATE: Had the town utilities come out to inspect. They found a few issues. One quick call to Yellow Dot and they scheduled someone to fix the problems and rescheduled the inspection.

I was really pleased with them. The guy who came out showed up on time. He called ahead of time to let me know that we were still on for our appointment. He went through his process and then did the calculation like they should be doing.
