SMART LIVING SYSTEMS

We needed to replace a broken Time Warner DVR in our home theater, which required reprogramming of our Universal Remote and can only be done by an approved service provider. We called Smart Living Systems on a Tuesday, and they came out the following Monday to do a simple reprogramming. They were at our house for approximately 30 minutes, said the reprogramming was completed and charged $135. The following day when we went to use the DVR, the remote wasn't working to operate the DVR. When we called Smart Living Systems, they said that it was impossible for the remote to stop working and it must be that the DVR was broken, and that they would charge us another $135 to come out again. During a subsequent call to Smart Living Systems, I felt he was very rude and dismissive. They didn't do the simple job we had asked for and didn't stand behind their work, but instead blamed the non-working Universal remote on us and then the DVR. We've never had a problem with working a remote before. By the way, the DVR is working fine manually, and we later got it working with a cable remote (although not the Universal remote). We were considering asking Smart Living Systems to bid on a project to redo our home theater projector (which is a very large job) but after this experience wouldn't call Smart Living Systems now for anything.
