TREE REMOVAL AND STUMP GRINDING FOLLOWED BY A VERY THOROUGH CLEAN UP. COULD NOT LEAVE THE GROUND MULCH AS HAD BEEN PLANNED BUT THAT IS MINOR IN LIGHT OF THE OVERALL QUALITY. THIS IS A VERY PROFESSIONALLY RUN BUSINESS AND I WILL USE THEM AGAIN FOR FUTURE WORK.

When we decided to have the tree taken down, we'll call CCF?

Using Angies list, I identified four tree service firms and had each come out for a site visit and provide an estimate. Two of the firms were very professional and knowledgable, but their estimates were very high, even with the discounts from Angies. The third service provider was not as professional -- they sent a younger, less experienced person out for the estimate and his estimate was less than half the two others. The follow-up from this company was very good and professional, and the reviews were positive, so I was leaning in this direction. There was no follow-up from the other two firms. Then I met Will from Raleigh Tree Service. He was the last service provider to visit because he was tied up helping with Huricane Sandy relief efforts. Will was very prompt and professional. He concerned himself with more than just the estimate and discussed the approach he would take in order to minimize impact on the surrounding yard. I appreciated that! In addition, his estimate was competitive and in line with what I was expecting. I really liked his honest approach and ability to set expections on the price, details on the service, how it would be done and when he could do it. He was also prepared with his insurance information. I decided to go with Raleigh Tree Service. The week before the service was to be performed, Will left a voicemail expressing that a piece of equipment that broke down and he may have to push out the schedule by a day as a result. He wanted to know if that would work for me or if we needed to reschedule for another date. I was travleing and didn't have time to respond right away, but Will called me again a day or two later. I apprecaited his persistenc and we agreed on pushing out the schedule 1 day. Too often, service firms forget they are in a service industry. Even though Will seems to have plenty of business, he clearly respects and apprecaites each and every customer. It was refreshing! The project was started on time and ended on schedule. Will was personally involved in delivering the service with his crew. He had an impressive array of equipment and went about his business very efficiently and professionally. The trees came down without any issues and when it was all said and done, he left my yard looking better than when he arrived! Throughout the effort, he was accessable to answer questions and explain things. I highly recommend Raleigh Tree Service and would definately use them again. They are honest, professional and very capable!

Will from Raleigh Tree Service was very professional. He had good communication to make sure he understood what I wanted done. He did very nice work, and the cleanup was immaculate. I wouldn't have known his crew was their except for the stumps!

Will, the owner, came out to the house and gave us an estimate. We agreed on a date and he sent a contract via email. Will has a very efficient system where approval can be given electronically thus expediting the whole process. Several days before the date of tree removal, Will called to confirm that the date was still satisfactory. We agreed to make it a day later to accomodate my husband's schedule as he wanted to be home. On the day, they arrived exactly when Will said they would and cut down the tree just as he had descibed. Everything was cleaned up perfectly and there was no debris. In all of our dealings with Will, he was puctual and professional and did everything exactly as he said he would. It was a very good experience!

They came out for an estimate on time and were very thorough and professional. He was very upfront with everything that needed to be done and in the end, I decided to get a refund on the Deal because the project would have cost a lot more than I am willing to spend at this time. I was very impressed with this company and I wish I could use them!

I hired CCF Tree Service to come and assess the three large oak trees in my front yard, one of which had been a cause for concern. Christian provided clear information on what issues that tree had, and his recommendations on the other two as well. He provided an easy to understand estimate and very clear explanations on the work to be done. We scheduled a date and his team arrived promptly to begin the work. They took out a very large tree within 10 feet of my front door and were quite careful. The only casualty was a small, unhealthy dogwood that was underneath the oak's canopy - instead of chalking it up to being "part of the risk" as I thought might happen, Christian promptly stated (without me asking) that they would replace it with an equivalent tree at no cost. Exceptional service if you ask me and I got a nicer tree out of the deal. They finished up at dark, and we scheduled a convenient date to pick out replacement trees and complete the planting. A few days later, I was able to go with Christian out to the nursery and pick out new trees - and then his team arrived and they were planted as I watched. I was also given some tips on caring for them and some ideas to "clean up" other areas of my property that need some work. The yard looks great and I'm ready for the spring to see the new japanese maple & dogwood show their stuff. CCF Tree Service went above and beyond the job and I will be hiring them at any point in the future if I need larger tree or shrub work done. Christian was a pleasure to work with and his team of hard workers was professional and did the job until it was right. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for tree work or even smaller landscaping jobs.

Christian came out and looked at the trees for an estimate. He provided several suggestions for care and for achieving our goals while leaving them in their positions (too) near the house. He came out earlier than scheduled knowing that we had an urgent situation that required the trees to be cut back and his team did a wonderful job with the pruning. He even cleaned up some work by our landscapers on another tree. I would definitely work with him again. The Angie's List big deal was very helpful and should be looked into if still available (and he offers an Angie's List discount if it's not). I will absolutely work with him again.

Before the job, Will from Raleigh Tree Service came over and gave us an estimate. It was clear to us then that he is highly skilled at his job and incredibly knowledgeable about trees and how to cut them so that the live a really long, healthy life. We had purchased a Big Deal of $500 worth of work for $250. With that money off, our price was just $850. However, even if we hadn't had the extra money off, we would have been pleased with the amount being charged to deal with five trees. During the estimate, we asked about taking out a few additional trees than we had planned. Will advised us it would save us money to do all of the trees at once. It meant a lot to us that he wasn't trying to gouge us by telling us he would just have to come out again. So, we decided on the 4 trees and the trimming of the large one. Raleigh Tree Service's communication before, during and after the job was second to none. There was bad weather during the week they were supposed to come; Will called us two days before to let us know that he thought that he would be on time, but if the weather pushed him back, he would let us know. On the day of our tree removal, it was wet and rainy. Not only did Will email us to let us know that we were rained out, he also texted us to let us know. On the day of the removal, Will and one other helper came out early morning to make sure that it wasn't too wet. They then came back with a crane and took down four small-ish trees and trimmed down one huge Sweet Gum. The stumps were ground down. After the removal, Will gave us great advice about putting up new bushes or trees that would add more privacy to our yard. When he came back to pick up the crane, he rang the doorbell again and talked to us just to make sure we were happy. He also mentioned that our gutters had been full and he was going to offer to clean them for us, but they were filled with ice. All in all, we were thrilled with the service we got from Raleigh Tree Service. They couldn't have been more professional or pleasant to work with, and we will recommend them to everyone we know in the future.

While scheduling was slightly challenging, Christian came out and gave a detailed estimate. He thoroughly inspected trees on the property to give us an overall picture of our lot and the health of some of our older trees. He and his partner came out for tree pruning, trimming, and debis removal. They established a nice perimeter around our home and took down old, unstructured growth. They did a great job and I would certainly use them in the future.

They were extremely competent and they were very honest. They were quick to respond. They were very professional. We are considering using them.

Before bringing in a bucket truck in order to cut the dead part of the tree, CCF laid "mats" on the ground for the truck to run over and not damage our yard. They carefully cut off the dead part of the tree - not damaging our property or the neighbor's - after which they cut down the rest of the tree and the one leaning against the shed. They next worked on the oak tree limb which was 18-24 inches in diameter. To lessen possible damage to the roof, a section at a time was secured with ropes and then cut. Because the oak tree was 45-50 feet tall, one of the workers climbed the tree using spurs and would bind off each limb and section to be cut, allowing it to swing down rather than letting it fall to the ground to prevent our septic system being damaged. Due to the size of the tree, and the care CCF used to take it down, they had to return the next day to finish cutting down the tree and grinding up the stump. We had asked if the sections could be cut approximately 18 inches, which they agreed to. Although the trees were in the back yard, they cleaned up the front yard as well, including blowing out the gutters. No one would have known CCF had been there except for the vacant spaces where the trees had been. Great detail and care was taken by the crew of CCF, as well as a job well done. We definitely recommend CCF Tree Service and would use them any time a need arises.

I first contacted CCF via e-mail. After three weeks without a reply, I called. Appointment was quickly made for estimate. Christian met me Halloween morning (did not bat an eye at my dress); he was everything your site advertised him to be: friendly, professional, knowledgeable, etc. He sent me a quote several days later and his office scheduled the job for Dec. 18. In late November, they finished a job early and called to see if I wanted to move mine up. Of course I did! The friendly crew did a beautiful job. If it were not for the non-grassy area in front, I would not know that large oak had ever been there! They left the site as they found it. I was very, very satisfied with the work. I would have given CCF an A for responsiveness, except for the lack of response to my e-mail. I give their work an A+.

He was very professional and seemed knowledgeable, and explained what kind of equipment and methods would be used to accomplish the removal. We purchased a coupon ($250 for $500 worth of work) but will not be using it, unless it is to get a stump ground . The price we were quoted was almost 3 times as much as the other estimate we received.

Christian didn't appear or call for his first appointment with me. I was upset, because I had prepaid. However, he called me the very next day and set up a new appointment and apologized for the earlier mishap. He refunded my money and gave me an extra bonus. He did a fabulous job of trimming and an excellent job of clean up. He cut down a couple of small trees at no extra charge. His work was very well done, and he is such a nice guy. He kept me posted on how far along they were and when it would be finished. I was very pleased with his work. I did not get comparable bids for the work, so have no idea about the price. I highly recommend him.

It went smoothly from start to finish and they removed all the tree scraps, unlike another company we had in.

I made the contact call, it was returned in good time, service was scheduled in a tellysmner, the owner was the person who came to the house to do the quote, he also did the work with his assistant, they worked cautiously. A secondary service came the following day to remove the stumps.

Christian came out and gave us a price estimate on the work to be done. There was a delay in setting up the date for the work to be done due to some IT issues. Once they were resolved we had a minor delay in the work date as there was a schedule error with the amount of time needed to complete the work. The next day all of the work that we got the estimate for was completed and there was no damage to our yard. The work was completed in one day and we are pleased with the end results.

Work was not performed, due to lack of response from vendor;I emailed and called numerous times before I asked for a refund. I did finally receive an email from the vendor about setting up the date for service, but it was too late, at that point.

Everything was great from the original estimate through completion. The crew arrived on time and ground every stump 12 inches below the surface. They even removed and replaced our fence that was in the way of some of the stumps. I would highly recommend CCF Tree Service!

CCF tree service arrived on time to review the tree to be removed for a proposal. CCF provided a proposal to me during the same first visit and reviewed the plan for removal. The first time they were available for tree removal was about 3 weeks after the proposal was provided. CCF contacted me on the 1st day they had intended to remove the tree. They stated that they could not take down the tree, because they could not remove the tree remains out the back gate of my house. They insisted on taking the tree remains out the front gate which would require that I move my truck when I was work. I can't say for sure, but I did not remember this point of the logistics being required during the proposal. They came back about one week later to perform the work. They did cut down the tree and did remove about 97% of the tree debris. About one trash can worth of tree debris was left behind for my tree removal. It appears they damaged one limb of the neighboring maple tree during the process of removing the pine tree and did not remove this large damaged maple tree limb. A large oil spill of about 3' long and 6" wide was left on my driveway- assumed to be from the tree remains removal truck. My yard had a lot of tracks left from the vehicle they used to move the tree remains. CCF offered to fix any punchlist items, however I was not impressed with the quality this original work and I decided not to pursue this option. About 12 years before I had a dead tree of similar size and complexity to remove (very close to both my home and my neighbor's house) cut down and removed for almost a third the price ($300) and had absolutely no issues (no leftover debris, no damage to lawn, no oil stains on the driveway,no damage to surrounding trees, etc.) This contractor from 12 years ago was not available for competitive bidding for this tree. CCF did send me a Christmas card.

Overall the experience was great. The price was extremely competitive. Christian is very knowledgeable and was very helpful throughout the process. I will absolutely use CCF tree service again, and have already recommended them to several friends.

Christian and his crew were great. They came on time, were very professional and ground all 30+ stumps 12 inches below the ground. They even took down our fence that was in the way of several stumps and replaced it after they were done! Awesome job! I would definitely hire them again.

I called for an estimate and they came out the same day. They provided a good estimate and did the work. They were very safe both for themselves and for my house. They couldn't come do the stump grinding that day, but they called to let me know exactly when it would be done. I would use them again.
