We hired Nathan to replace sideing and paint the exterior of our home based on a friends recommendation. He asked for $1000.00 up front which we paid him. He replaced approximately 12 boards and never came back. We have made continuous attempts to contact him by phone and mail to no avail. Please do not use this man.

Do let this person into your home.
Description of Work: I hired Nathan Weddle to paint the interior of my house in Aug of 2010. He asked me to pay him up front for the materials which I agreed, about $650. He did not show up that Monday like he said. He showed up a few days later without any help. Painted a wall in my sons room, said he had to leave and I never heard from him again. BTW the insurance certificate that he supplied was not valid. The insurance company had ever heard of him. He cut and pasted his name on someone elses liability license. I attempted to call him for almost a year and he never responded.

It went very well from start to finish. He was very professional and honest. I trust him completely in my home.
Description of Work: Nathan was contracted to build a small room under our stairs for the cat's litter box. A small door was placed in the wall of the hall closet and a pet door installed in hall bath. The work was excellent and extremely reasonable. He was prompt and came in well below other estimates. He also painted a good deal of the inside of my 2300 square foot house--built in bookcases and all. My husband and I have had Nathan the exterior of a previous home and it still looks great 6 years down the road. He is a pleasure to work with and I plan to have him over to paint some chairs.

Absolutely horrific experience. Started Aug 11th, and went well for the first 3 weeks. We invested several thousand dollars early to pay for materials and a subcontractor for drywall. The last check we wrote on September 3rd, and he did not return or call for 3 weeks. The subcontractor harrassed us for 3 weeks for payment. We went to his home, and he began showing up sporadically for another few weeks although quality of work had dropped significantly. Tile he installed had to be ripped up and reinstalled by another subcontractor. We ended up paying for additional materials that he was supposed to have provided (he used the deposits we gave him on non-project-related expenses) just to keep things moving. We heard every excuse in the book and heard a dozen times "I'll be there tomorrow" and tomorrow never came. He installed the floors, and messed up the final coat of poly- then walked off the job again for 4 weeks. (Floors have to resanded and finished again.) Would not return phone calls. Approached his home again- no resolution. Because he actually owes us money/scope now- and has not finished the project- he is not motivated to complete. Left a mess in my home, paint was substandard, cracks in the drywall, screwed up the tile, the trim and the hardwood floors. Sloppy and slow, at best. 3 months after we started, this supposed "3-week project" is still incomplete and he shows no sign of returing to finish the job. He was recommended to us by a close friend who had used him previously and who personally knew him and his family. We still don't know how the saga will end... but advise strongly that others avoid using this contractor.
Description of Work: Work was to remedy water damage to a garage, kitchen area, living area, bedroom and bathoom apartment over the garage. Scope included replacing insulation, small electrical, drywall, paint, trim, carpentry, tile and hardwood flooring installation and refinishing.
