I hired them to patch up a small wall hole a couple of years ago. I paid ~$600 for a very small hole with just OK results. The patch repair is very noticeable. I called them again recently to get another small, drywall repair job and after giving them all the details, they quoted me between $500-$600 just for *labor*. Materials were extra and they said that paint is especially expensive. I provided them more info and photos, explaining that it's a very small hole and that the work area is very easy to get to and has no obstructions. They then upped their quote to $700! I went with another contractor who charged me only $260 (including paint!!) and even made additional repairs, and the work quality was flawless! So, I am so glad that I DID NOT use Mr. Handyman, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.

"Thanks for taking time to provide this feedback. We are glad you were able to find a service provider to satisfactorily complete the most recent repairs at a price you found acceptable. I would like to clarify a couple of things. We performed drywall repairs for you in January 2020. We originally scheduled (3) visits – the first was to be for the initial repair, followed by a second short visit to sand & skim the repaired area. The third visit was to be for final sand & paint of the repaired area. During the first visit we performed the initial repair which included 3 coats of compound. At that time you elected to complete the repairs yourself (sand the area smooth and paint). We charged $201 + tax for the work we performed (not $600). We have always had a 1-year workmanship guarantee. If a customer is not happy with our work, they just need to let us know and we will take care of the issue. Even though you chose to complete the repairs yourself, we would have been open to correcting any issues you found. Most recently, you asked about another drywall repair and provided pictures. Our rough estimate was $650 + tax. This was our estimate and you chose to go with another provider, which we understand. Again, we are glad you found someone to make that repair satisfactorily for you."

I was really impressed by the service provided by Handyman of Western Wake. From the moment you start the process you can tell they have their standard of procedures down to a science. They contact you throughout the whole process, sending both emails and texts so you know exactly what to expect and when. I can’t speak to the other handymen they employ but count yourself lucky if you get Mike. He is extremely competent, professional, and friendly. He worked very efficiently to complete all the tasks we had on the list and let me know as he completed each one. He noticed one other issue we had with our front door that we didn’t have on the list, and he fixed that as well. He even gave me a few tips while he was working. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will definitely be calling them again for any future needs.
