Anthony came out and was a professional from the first to the last interaction. Though the poor workmanship our last handyman left us with was so egregious, Anthony focused on explaining what he would do to make things right rather than badmouthing another handyman that he'd never met.
Once it came time to work, Anthony worked hard and problem solved on the spot when he ran into small difficulties. The job was much more extensive than first expected. Because of the modifications needed for our doorways to be ready to have storm doors installed in them, it took a day and a half rather than just a few hours, but he came early the next morning and finished up before his next scheduled job.
I'll definitely be requesting Anthony of Mr. Handyman soon for other work we need done.

It went very well. Took 2 days longer than the expected 6 days - but this did not impact our lives as each step was explained professionally and carefully. A faulty shower valve had to be replaced adding about 1/2 days work. Steve is a dedicated and skilled craftsman and we are glad he did the work.

I was very impressed. They came out on the first day, added the supports to keep the pergola upright. Removed the rotted post and replaced it with a new one. The second visit they came out , removed the supports and did all the cleaning up needed.Guy who did the work kept the original post and allowed me to look at it. Rot and some insect damage were obvious.

When asked about not only the mechanical repairs to the door, did he want to help out with painting, he did not seem that interested to take on that work. He recommended that we use a painting company.

"We gave a verbal quote of $250-300 for this job but only charged $135 which included $7 for materials. Our tech repaired a door jam and some drywall. He had to caulk the door jam which required dry time before it could be painted. Our tech said that he could come back but he got the impression that the you were interested in doing the painting yourself. It is not our usual practice to recommend other painting companies for small paint jobs such as this when Mr. Handyman can provide this service. The work was completed in October 2013 but this review is our first notification of your concerns. We certainly apologize for any misunderstanding that might have occurred. Thanks for your business."

The jobs were straight forward and the work was well done. There was a more complicated, more expensive way and a lower cost more direct way to do the door frame job. Mr Handyman pointed this out and assured that the simpler solution was perfectly effective. He was right, and the door frame issue seems to be solved, happily. Our guy was wonderful! Punctual and professional. He had to go to Lowes twice to get materials but still finished early. He even repainted the trim around my front door after removing the old screen door - that wasn't expected at all so it was very nice! Overall it was a great experience and I'd definitely call them again.

Improperly installed vent under the flashing where the bay window roof meets the house was allowing wind-driven rain to enter the house and pool on the ceiling, causing a water stain. I called Mr. Handyman out to examine & fix the problem. Bruce, the owner, sent someone out the same day. My roof is fixed and I'm happy.

Picked up the doors for me a local supplier. Was on time and finished on time (same day). Was very professional and great attention to detail...very meticulous. Are was cleaned including vacuuming around the site, inside and out. Very polite and knowledgeable installers. Owner visited several times to make sure I was happy and all was going as scheduled.

Called them, the owner, Bruce, came out to see the job and scheduled the job. The guy came out and checked the gutters fine, but did not clean the roof off to our satisfaction. Bruce sent him back out, but we were still not happy. He sent a new guy out for the third visit, and he did just wonderfully. Bruce claims it was a communication issue with to what extent we wanted the roof cleared off. He was apologetic and did eventually remedy the situation. The second time we used them, we had them remove the stairs on the porch. They did it satisfactorily. The third time we had them remove the porch door, had all the supplies ready for the job, and Matt did a fantastic job building a rail to match the porch, including new screens. He communicated well and was professional, worked hard and at a steady pace. He cut some boards for us for another project, and started insulating our hot water pipes under the house. After the three hours were up, I was surprised at how much he was able to complete. We will have him back after all the leaves fall to clean the roof and check our gutters, and for any future projects we can't handle on our own!
