On the day I purchased, and paid in full, for the desk, I was told it was "in stock" and would arrive in 3 weeks. On February 19th I phoned for status and was told there was a "customs delay" and the delivery would be late March. This didn't make sense, as if the desk was already in stock, it would have already been through customs and in the warehouse. There was no apology for the delay, nor any acceptable explanation other than the statement "that's the way things happen". I didn't believe this story. Finally, on Wednesday, March 23rd, the delivery man called and said he'd like to deliver the desk in a couple of hours. Normally when a delivery is made the customer receives at least a day's notice. When the desk was delivered it was placed upstairs, the legs attached, and the men left before I could remind them that I'd been told that they would show us how to hook up the computer to the outlet in the desk. Nor did they wait for us to inspect the desk for scratches. They just left. Advice to future customer: don't pay in full before accepting delivery.
Description of Work: I purchased a home office desk on January 27, 2011. Desk was delivered on March 23rd, eight weeks after ordered.
