Healing Hands Massage Therapy and Bodywork, LLC
About us
Hi, I'm Tim Hackett, Owner, Massage Therapist and Sole Proprietor of Healing Hands Massage Therapy and Bodywork, LLC. I have been in practice in North Raleigh since 2002, which is 17 years as of this writing making me an "old timer" in this industry! I have worked at the Duke Diet and Fitness Center as an MT and Personal Trainer, as well as Duke Integrative Medicine. This has exposed me to a diverse population that most MTs don't ever see. I specialize in NeuroMuscular Reprogramming, which is a complex technique that addresses the root causes of many pain patterns. That makes it effective, even when other techniques and therapists have not been. I work with people who are trying to avoid surgery, those who are re-habbing post surgery, those with sports injuries and those hoping to prevent them! I love to work with other health care providers like chiropractors, Physical Therapists, yoga and Pilates instructors, etc. It is always good to have multiple sets of eyes and hands working on the issue! I also accept credit cards including HSA. If you are on Worker's Comp, you can choose to work with me and I can do the paperwork with your case manager.

"Thank you [Member Name Removed]. It is a pleasure working with people who know their bodies as well as you do."
"Thank you for this wonderful review, I appreciate it. You have made great progress because you understand this is a team effort and have worked hard outside the treatment room. Keep up the good work!"
"I am so glad you are feeling better and I sincerely appreciate this wonderful review. Please let me know if I can help you in the future."
"I am very sorry my office was not satisfactory. If there is something I can change please tell me and I will do my best to accommodate you."
Note - the studio is in his home, there are 3 friendly dogs that welcome me each week & I enjoy that. I've not been to a home studio previously but this is comfortable and I feel like one of the family by now. I'd recommend him for anyone with sports injuries, muscle issues, etc. - He is very experienced & professional, this was far more like physical therapy and deep tissue massage than I've ever been able to get from most massage centers. Payment is super easy - I use my HSA debit card to pay in seconds at end of each session & receive an email receipt for my records.
"Thank you [Member Name Removed], I appreciate your vote of confidence!"
He was able to accomplish (in just 2 or 3 sessions) much more
than any previous therapies I have had. My lower back pain was
completely gone after the 1st session. After the 3rd session I was
able to lift weights again without any neck pain or headaches.
TIm is very knowledgeable, professional and ethical. He uses
different types of therapies depending upon what your problem areas are.
Do not let the fact that he works out of his home stop you from going.
If you are concerned about that, he welcomes you to bring
someone with you.
Highly recommended!
"Thank you, [Member Name Removed]. I am glad I was able to help you."
"Thank you for your kind words, [Removed Member Name]. Clients like you make my job a joy!"
The only issue of concern is that Tim is located pretty far from my house but so far I am willing to make the drive for appointments.
"Thank you for this great review! I am sorry you are not closer to my office so you could see me more often. But we will work out what we can and I will help you as often as you are able to make the trip."
"Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to submit such a detailed review! I treasure my long time clients and I am happy that you are back in the area. I appreciate you making the effort to drive 45 minutes each way to see me! That is a real commitment and I do my best to make it worth your while."
"Thank you, (Member name removed)! I love working with athletes like you and getting them back to enjoying their activities. When choosing a Massage Therapist, it is important to ask them how much experience they have with your particular sport, injury or situation. With 11 years of active practice under my belt, I have seen MANY types of injuries and maladies and have a very good success rate. I work with elite athletes, desk jockeys, weekend warriors, you name it. If a body has pain, there is a way to manage it. If I cannot help you, I will get you to someone who can. Another advantage of my longevity is my network of friends and colleagues that I refer my clients to when I am not able to help them as much as I want to."
