These guys are the absolute best. I would give a 5-Star plus rating if available. We took our time hiring the job. It was a downstairs unit that went bad and the upstairs worked fine and provided air downstairs, and we installed a small window unit in the kitchen so we didn't need to be in a hurry deciding. We had 6 companies come out and look at our needs and give a quote. Eco-Green came the same afternoon we called and provided a rough estimate on the spot and went back and provided a detailed quote that was very close to the initial "guesstimate." Interestingly, this is the only company that did that. After closely looking at all the estimates and what the big/large/small and medium sized companies would do, we chose Eco-Green based on responsiveness and honestly, the best price. We were sure hoping we wouldn't go wrong since they were Considerably less that others. They had the units delivered the next day! and started installation the next. Their installation mechanic was so experienced and knowledgeable that we knew immediately they were great (oh did I say, my son used to be in this business and we knew a lot from him so we were in a better position to evaluate than most.) The installation went smoothly and my son went under the house to inspect everything and he was very impressed with the quality of the work that was difficult to see. It took two men a day and half to install both the heating and air conditioning and new thermostat. It was a little longer than I expected, but know they did everything just right. We got a thorough explanation of the system and how the thermostat works. We will definitely use them again with a service contract and when the 2nd system goes, the business is theirs!

We had gotten other quotes to replace our two zone hvac- all were in excess of $20k. We called Eco-Green since they had done work for us previously via our home warranty. They came out, reviewed everything and advised that we don't need to replace the furnace at all, the blowers were optional since they were working fine and just needed to do the condenser units and coils for under $8k. We opted to go with new blowers as well, so our total was just over. The technician showed up on time, completed all the work the same day and the system has been running smooth since. Can't recommend them enough!!!

Home Warranty sent out another company in response to our upstairs AC unit not turning on. They fixed that (capacitor and switch) but then told us that our evaporator coil has a leak in it and it would have to be replaced. They go on to say that it is NC law that if you replace the evaporator coil you must also replace the condenser coil as well. Total cost of the job: $3800 Mind you that my system is 17 years old. I call Home Warranty company and ask for a 2nd opinion since something just didn't smell right. they hooked us up with Bob and he called the next morning saying they could get out here the same day. Since they were fitting us in they didn't have an exact time but said that they would call when they were on their way. Bob called and sure enough the guy was here 10 minutes later. Technician does an examination of the system, said that yes, there is a leak but he filled up the Freon, added a sealant and should be good to go. Done in about 30 minutes. AC working great. I told him about the previous assessment, the guy just shook his head. I will be reaching out to Bob to have them give me an estimate on replacing my dual zone setup since it is nearing the end of its useful life - I appreciate the honesty and great customer service!

He was prompt. He came out immediately. The service only cost me $118 with him, while the quote from another company was $800. He was really good and very honest.

Our heat went out on Friday, I called in the morning and left a message. Bob got back with me in the afternoon and was able to accommodate my schedule even though I work so far away from home. The technician came out, worked around our fence and dogs in the dark. He was very friendly and knowledgable. He was able to get our system running within an hour. He was also able to make some recommendations about getting a full system tune up.

Excellent. Our system was 20 years old and had been marginal for a couple of years. The writing was on the wall. We got estimates, and Eco-green quoted exactly what we wanted for the best price. Alan and his very professional team got the system installed and up and running on our schedule (we were heading for the beach in a week). It's So nice to have a system that runs perfectly! Just for fun, I got a fancier thermostat that talks to my IPhone. On the way home from the beach, I turned on the AC. Is that cool, or what! You can't go wrong with Alan and his team.

Alan and his crew did a phenomenal job - they worked with us on the price and relevant options when we selected a SEER 17 high efficiency system, plus installed Nest thermostats for both of our A/C systems. Despite having to dodge some nasty hornets that set up a hive while the A/C wasn't working, Alan and Dale got the system installed on schedule and we couldn't have been happier. Included in the process, they were able to reorient the new system in a more efficient layout and we gained a bunch of new space in the attic for storage. If we need anything else done in the future, we'll be calling Eco-Green to do the work!

Wonderful! We love them. I find it very reasonable than my old company. They go through filters and take almost everything and they make sure all the levels are right and make sure taps are coming as to what it is set for and put the horse out and put back nicely. There were here almost five days and they were all great and everybody has been very knowledgeable, helpful and timely. One time they couldn't come and they called me to say they had run into a problem of course which is understandable. They are very communicative.

Eco-Green was absolutely a joy to work with!! They gave an excellent quote, were able to schedule the work quickly (we were without heat!), and in addition, corrected bathroom exhaust vent duct work issues/installed new bathroom vent fans,  and even gave us a recommendation on a possible plumber to do some additional work we needed handled.
The crew was super nice, worked efficiently, and came in on budget and on time. I schedule a great deal of renovation and repair work as a real estate professional, and these folks were great - I highly recommend them!!

Alan was very easy to work with from the beginning. On the phone he sounded very professional and agreed to come over to my house to look at my old unit without asking me to commit time to be there. He gave me an estimate the very same day and recommended a 16SEER Coleman unit, which qualifies for a Duke Progress subsidy. Even more he offered a supplemental discount since I was a member of Agie's lists.
The installation time took about 8 hours for a team of two people. I was very pleased with the installment of the unit and the time he took to explain how to maximize the efficiency of the cooling/heating system.
My family was pleasantly surprised when couple of days later after the job was done, we received a FedEx delivery of cookies and a free Coleman lunch box.
I highly recommend Eco-Green Air to anyone who needs repairs or replacements of AC/Heating units.

Very efficient. They showed up when they said they would and performed the work as expected. There was no mess left behind when completed. Alan, the owner, even took time to make a video and sent it to me in the bid process demonstrating the quietness of the product.

The service was excellent. Showed up when they said they
were going to, and did what they said they were going to do.
We had an intermittent issue with the blower fan not coming on
even when the unit started running.  The gentlemen came out the
the next day to diagnose. As they were troubleshooting the unit,
the fan started working OK.  Once the fan was working OK,
more troubleshooting was not possible.  He asked me to call him
back if it stopped working again.
The next day the unit stopped working again so I called back.
They arrived again that day while unit was not working.
After a short time, they were able to diagnose the issue and replace the
defective relay immediately (new part was stocked in his truck).  My system
started working fine and has been working perfectly now for the 3rd day.
Very satisfied customer.  Thanks!

Installed an energy efficient Toshiba system for a room that has been too cold in winter and too warm in summer. They did a great job, including disconnecting two air ducts from my central system. They came when they said, finished in one day, and cleaned up what little mess they made. The new heat pump is working well; we will not know about the AC function until spring.

Due to intermittent nature of the problem, several trips were required to isolate the issue.
However, we had functional system after the first visit.

Last year the tech for company I had been using to maintain my system said I had a leak in the evaporator coil and wanted to replace the whole heating and cooling system.  I had him fill it with freon so I would have time to do some research.  I called Eco Green Air, who was identified by the manufacturer as certified to repair and maintain the equipment. The service person spent several minutes listening to what I had been told and discussing various options that didn't involve immediately replacing my system.  So when it was time to check the system for the summer I called Eco-Green. It was pouring rain on the date originally scheduled, and they called to ask if they could reschedule, but because they knew I had issues they offered to come out the next day, a Saturday, and check the freon levels and then come back and do the complete maintenance service today.  On Saturday, while they were walking through the yard they heard the system come on with the fan coming on later, which isn't normal. They took the time to check the capacitors, which turned out to be operating at less than 50% so they replaced them, undoing a previous jury-rigged set and using the factory specified part. When they left I knew the system was good to go til they could finish the cleaning and maintenance service today. They were knowledgeable, courteous, and explained everything they did.  I am very satisfied and heartily recommend them.
Response from Eco-Green Air
"[member name removed], were glad to address your issues. Luck was on our side, since yoir compressor's delayed start while we were setting up narrowed it down for us quickly. Your unit is still ticking. We thought the freon level was fine. It is not uncommon for an older unit to have a leak. At this point, it appears that it is a slow leak (perhaps several years) before it leaks down to noticeable level. By that time your unit maybe 5 years older"

I have had trouble cooling the building I run my business from for years. When the temperatures would rise above 95 ( most of the summer) we would melt. Usually the hallway where the return was would feel great as well as the reception area. but the other room would be hot. We were also dealing with a flat roof which means no crawl space so that any heat had no place to go. And then the business is a salon so there are blow dryers and lots of heat producing utensils. Add in the lighting and the people, you get the idea. It was hot and we were miserable and worse of all the air conditioning company I was using for years, was unable to solve the problem and it was getting worse. During a stretch of 100+ degree days I was forced to look elsewhere for help and was recommended by a friend to try Eco Green Air.
Allen was prompt, which was great, but most importantly was very thoughtful about his approach, carefully analyzing the situation and fixing problems and making suggestions. He immediately found that the system had been grossly overcharged with coolant causing the system to shut down automatically then, after a few moments begin again. This temporary stoppage would allow the heat to build and the air conditioner was unable to cool enough before it would stop again. He then suggested to solve the problems I was experiencing of some areas cooling and others not by installing a zoning system that is controlled pneumatically. Air fills bladders in front of vents directing the air to areas that need it most. That might be simplifying it a bit but that's how I understand it.
It has been a year since he installed the system and I can truly say it has made a world of difference. If I get complaints now it is people being too cold. I love it.
Response from Eco-Green Air
"Thanks for your review. It good to hear that you dont have the universal complaints of too hot in the summer. However, I understand that your staff now differs on how cool is too cool. We will continue to educate the staff on the zoning system in the hopes that some dont get too cold in the summer"

After spending a couple of hot summers in my home, I decided to start getting quotes on upgrading the dual zone builder grade unit that came with my home.  The first company sent a salesman out, and quoted me $5,000 for a new larger unit.  I had Eco-Green come out next.  They were punctual and courteous.  After looking at the current unit, Alan realized the airflow to my upstairs seemed too low.  He and Hank inspected the dampener system, adjusted the bypass, and found that one of the dampener motors had a stripped shaft.  He replaced the dampener motor, and now my airflow upstairs has significantly increased.  I believe my summer cooling issues upstairs may be resolved, and I spend $200 instead of $5,000.  I will definitely be calling Eco-Green again for my spring A/C tune-up.
Response from Eco-Green Air
"[member name removed], thanks for your great review. We were glad to find a solution for you. Your unit is only 8 years old, and while we would love to have the opportunity to bid on your system one day, it always makes us feel good to leave a house feeling good about providing you a solution to your cooling that was alot less than your expectations."
