"I don't remember it quite this way. You did call at 11:00 but I told you it was unlikely we could get someone out before Monday due to the Holiday rush (everybody is getting their stove repaired that's been out since the summer) and if you needed a control board we did not have time to pick up the board and go to North Raleigh. But all was not lost because as often as not the board just needed to be reset which requires the washer to be unplugged for an hour or two. You did that to no avail and wanted someone out immediately. I'm sorry but we were unable to do the service within that time frame. And by the way, the repair was obviously a very high priority for you, did you not call another company? Weren't they able to help you on such short notice, the day before Thanksgiving? Apparently not! I just hope you left them a bad review as well."
"The customer seems to be upset that we couldn't trouble-shoot his appliance over the telephone. Although error messages are an important indicator, they are by no means 100% accurate. For example, a loose wire, a corroded ribbon could produce a false error code. If member was looking for an estimate on the board cost I would have been glad to quote him, but he never asked. Furthermore he could have called a local parts store or looked the board up on the internet very very quickly, but he wanted to know for sure before he purchased a brand new appliance... and that's why he called us. We charged a reasonable fee for driving to his house and diagnosing the problem. I'm sorry it wasn't something minor and I'm sorry the customer wasn't satisfied but we have to charge for our time and the expense of going out. Please call someone else in the future, maybe they'll work for free."
"To start with, we do not charge $400.00 for parts that retail for $150 or $165 (member quote two prices). We called the model number in and was misquoted on the part cost from our vendor. It's rare that it happens but it can happen. Now, I never heard a thing about this until the customer called about a week ago (today is 7/1/11) shouting down the phone demanding a refund. I'll give the guy a refund, no problem. But it would have been nice if he would have called me with his concerns and I could have sorted it out very quickly. I'm not in business to rip people off so again we could have sorted it out quickly. But I guess the man assumed I'm a thief and called somebody else. Fine, but mistakes can happen. That's what happened here and by golly that's all I can say."
"This was a warranty call through Service Power. We typically don't work on LG appliances because we have limited expertise due to the fact LG makes their parts almost impossible to acquire. But we agreed to the call; our first mistake. I agree we were late and that's a legitimate criticism. And the tech complaining about having to work on an unfamiliar appliance is inexcusable as well. But the work done was not sub par. We put the door on, the only way it would go on. It was about a quarter inch higher than the other door, but in our opinion it would settle. The member didn't want to hear this and told us to take the door off, which we did. Let me just say this, I didn't manufacture this fridge, I just replaced the door. I'm sorry you're not happy and I'm especially sorry I took the call."
