It went pretty well. The HVAC has held up fine since they did the work. I've used them before and I'll likely do so again. They are easy to schedule and they show up right on time. I wouldn't hesitate to use them next time I have a need.

Did not receive service from contractor. They did not contact me within 2 business days to schedule service as described in the offer. Purchased offer on Sat. 6/21 and just now got an email today 6/26. Called another A/C contractor this morning and they came right out and performed service immediately. I have no negative issues with the Air Experts, just don't need their service anymore since I was not contacted.

Curtis was very prompt friendly and professional. For such a good price I expected a cut-rate job, but he spent longer that I expected cleaning and adjusting the system. He even borrowed my hose to clean it out. The main system had been barely keeping to 75%, and with age of the system I expected to be told it needed 'extra' work or parts or even that it needed replacing. Instead he got it working great. He showed me he was able to get to produce 52 degree air. I'm very pleased. I thought two weeks to schedule a visit was excessive, but it was worth the wait. Before I went Air Experts my wife had called ARS because she had a coupon, and when she said we could get it for $49 on Angie's List they said they would match it. Then they called back and said they could not match it but do it for $59 dollars. When the technician arrived he was very unpleasant and immediately stately that this was just check - not a cleaning or annual check. That would cost $179.00 for each system. I told him to leave and ordered the this from Angie's List - I'm really glad I did.

Friendly service, just that the wait for service in this heat was to long so we called another company.

I spoke with the SP and determined that i needed a whole new unit. I will not be able to use this BD.

I would recommend Air Experts in Raleigh to anyone that need air or heating needs. The pricing for their service is good shopping and using the coupon from Angies list 29 is well worth it. If Curtis represents the other techs and installers that this company uses I would pay this price and more.

Curtis came at the time the office scheduled. He worked really hard to get the air conditioner working. He sat outside for quite a while waiting to see if it would work after he serviced it. He went into the attic to check the furnace. He checked the thermostat. He changed out the batteries but still it wasn't working. After charging the thermostat the furnace kicked on but still no air was coming out. He went back into the attic and came back down and told me that the control board wasn't working which was why no air was coming out. I noticed this particularly yesterday when it was so hot during the night. He replaced both the thermostat and the control board. He again checked outside to make sure everything was working as it should. I noticed a difference right away in how cool my house turned. I appreciate how professional and polite Curtis was. He was also very helpful in explaining each detail of why things needed to be replaced. I would definitely use this company again.

My appt was for 10-12. I did receive a call at 10:00 to advise me it would be closed to 11 before the tech would arrive. He came, showed me what he was doing. Checked the pricing for the cleaning and for a UV light. Curtis, the tech, was polite and helpful at all times.

They were very prompt and took their time to explain things to us. They educated us on the air conditioning system. Scheduling an appointment was easy and they were good to work with.

First, they came out to check my A/C which was tripping the breaker. They replaced a part and filled the unit with coolant. (Clearly, there was a leak somewhere.) We agreed to fill it up and then monitor it to see how it went - hoping this would get me through this summer before a spring tune up might find the leak. I had JUST closed on the house and a new A/C was not in my budget at the moment. All was well when they left, but the next day, when I arrived into town to start moving in, it was DEAD. The compressor was dead and there was still the leak to worry about.... They advised me to put in a new unit. I had little choice. I was told that JUST TODAY, they listed a special on Angie's List for $2995. It was a little more because they had to go upstairs so the total was $3200. Originally, they had promised to credit me the $400 I had already spent - but apparently, this was so great a deal that they couldn't discount it $400 more. Whatever. All the service men who came to my house were wonderful. They were polite, seemed knowledgeable, were respectful of my home, punctual and did what they said they would do. They even loaned me a window unit so I could sleep there until the new unit was installed the next day - and saved me the $$ on a hotel room I was about to check in to. I have no idea what A/C costs are - so I can only take their word that this was such a good deal. The reason for my less than perfect review has everything to do with their office and not the service/sales men. The first time, they were supposed to call my daughter who lives nearby to set up a time to come out and evaluate my problem. They said they had left a message - but they had not - and my daughter showed no "missed calls" either. They tried to put off the service call a day or two - but it was in the high 90s and having a/c was imperative. When I arrived to a hot house on Weds. afternoon, they tried to make me wait till Friday. It wasn't until I got upset with them that I got a supervisor on the phone who took care of things. SO - my advice is if the office tells you something you don't like, try again - because the service received from their service men is exceptional.

It didn’t go so well. The tech said I’d need a new compressor, and he changed out the air filter. He asked about a homeowner’s warranty to get it fixed. While he was here, I noticed that he called someone else who had more experience than he did. I got a second opinion for the A/C. The 2nd company’s tech said that I just needed it to be recharged, which he did, and the A/C is working fine.

Everything was fine. They were prompt, professional and did what we asked them to do.

I opted for the $29 diagnostic deal, which came at a good time because my HVAC had stopped working. Someone from another company had come out a few weeks earlier, and it worked when they left, but then stopped. I called on a Thursday and Air Experts said that they could be here Monday from 2-4 pm. Curtis showed up at 2 pm and he had it diagnosed and fixed by 3 pm. He looked at the switch, because I told him that the earlier technician had worked on that. It turned out that the technician had carelessly tightened the screw to one of the wires, and it was barely making contact. He only charged me the diagnostic fee special of $29 and an additional $50 for fixing it. I was very pleased with the result.

The provider called back quickly to our initial contact and scheduled a visit immediately. We had a friend let the service person in since we were on vacation. The repair man came on the late side of his estimated time of arrival. When he was done our friend contacted us and let us chat with the service provider. He stated that we would need a whole new HVAC unit and that it would run somewhere around $5000 (min) to approx. $10,000 (max). He added that someone from their company would contact me shortly with an estimate. Nobody called back with an estimate (even with multiple attempts at contact from my end). We then contacted another HVAC repair group on your website (A. Maynor Heating and A/C) for a second opinion and to try to get 2 estimates. The repair man from A. Maynor came the very next day and was able to repair the unit for $195.00. This repair man said that the compressor could potentially go out in a few months, but then added that it could go on to work for several more years since it was only 7 years old. He added that the r eplacement compressor would run between $1800 and $2200 and that if it were him, he would wait and see what happens before spending the money. When we came home from vacation, we saw from the repair order that Air Experts left that they had not even done a full diagnostic on our air conditioning units, having completely ignored checking the upstairs HVAC. We picked Air Experts for the incredibly large number of reviews and their "A" rating. This to me is an example of too good to be true. They had well over 1000 reviews whereas all the rest of the HVAC folk listed on your site maxed out at a couple hundred reviews or less. From now on I will be much more wary of extraordinary numbers for reviews and stick with providers that have more realistic review numbers.

The service is excellent. They recommended a few options to rectify the issue and we opted into replacing our complete system. Dave was the employee who provided the service. He tried to find ways to keep the integrity of the system to a high standard and was able to get the price down to 13000.00 instead of the original price of 15000-16000.00. They were very efficient with clearing out landscaping to get access to system. I thought this was above and beyond the call of service. Great service for fair pricing.

Technician arrived on time and got right to work. He was there for about an hour and spent the majority of the time outside with the unit. Didn't report any problems and didn't try to push any unnecessary services on us. Will use their services in the future. Extremely pleased with the punctuality and time for service.

Bought the 49$ per system regular maintenance. Called to scheduled appointment and convenient timing on Saturday. David is very knowledgable and mentions the metrics and communicative. Other companies in the past they mentioned the coolant/freon is low and charge us says the levels are low. However with Air Experts, verifies the level and doesn't do cross sell, which I liked the most. I would recommend Air Experts.

I bought a $29 diagnostic for my daughters house. We had had some work done by a fly by night Heating company and the system still didn't work. I joined Angie's List specifically to find a contractor who came well recommended so we wouldn't have any more problems or throw away any more money. When they came and did the diagnostic, the salesman, Patrick, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and we decided to go with a mid-grade system priced at around 7000.00. They scheduled a time to install the system a few days later and showed up late. One of the techs seemed very hard-working and eager while the other seemed to leave a lot of the work to his partner. They finally finished installing the new system and it worked nicely at first. A couple of days later a quality control inspector from the company came out and looked at the system and said that there were alot of things that weren't installed correctly. There was the wrong sized vent pipe and there also needed to be a new roof vent, which wasn't done. Fast forward a week and they sent someone out to do the roof vents and those seem to have been done more or less without a hitch. Fast forward to a few days ago: the unit has stopped cooling very well. We figured it was because the temp outside has been in the high nineties. Today, the city inspectors came to inspect the unit and it failed. Not only that, the unit was leaking all over the attic. So, $7000 and a lot of headaches later we are back where we started.

This was routine service and it was done professionally and to my satisfaction.

The tech that showed up, Curtis, was great. He arrived on time and immediately went to work taking apart the unit to perform his tests. He confirmed what my wife and I already feared, that our unit was working correctly but was too small for our house. He informed us that it was doing all it could do, but that it wouldn't be able to really cool the house quickly on hot days. A fact we have already started to realize. The whole check took about 45 minutes to an hour. Curtis mentioned that there are deals for AC unit replacements on Angie's List. He recommended a size for our house as well. He was not pushy, just informative and honest in the way he answered our questions. I will use Air Experts again in the future.
