I had a red 2005 G35 Infinity coupe where the paint was all chipped up on the front and the clear coat was off in large areas. The windshield was so pitted that I was having trouble driving it at night due to the glare. They replaced the windshield and gave me a fantastic 2 stage paint job for the price. I was so impressed that I brought my wife's 2012 Maxima in to get the front bumper repaired and painted and the hood painted. Bob's team again provide high quality service for the price and my wife was thrilled as was I. Thanks again Bob to you and your crew. We will continue to recommend you to everyone we know.
Bob's company name is very true - we had other estimates from repair companies, but Bob beat them all by hundreds of dollars. So while I first chose Affordable Auto Repair due to the "Affordable", I would recommend him and would go back because of the excellent work, professionalism, integrity, and great customer service. I really feel he had my best interests in mind, and I find that rare and invaluable.
The car was returned within a few days, looking amazing and good as new.
My car had started peeling off paint for a few years now (it was always in hot humid weather, without the garage). I love the car, and want to keep for as long as I can. Peeling paint was just making it feel like I am driving a junk car. In reality this is, now, a relatively rare, quite powerful muscle car.
Pictures will show all the details. I took pictures of my car before the paint job, because I wanted to get some opinions of people online about were I should get the service. However, nobody helped on my online forums. So I found the Affordable autopaint through just 'cold calling'. Most places I called said that their price starts at 3k+, which was ridiculously high (my car's trade-in value would not justify such an expense). Then called Bob, he asked me to come over so he can see it.
I brought in the car, he looked at it and gave me the price, in the mean time I had checked this site for feedback (which I found to be 'not stellar', however my experience talking with Bob did not agree with some of the low-scoring reviewers).
I signed the papers, left the car there the same day and picked it up 4 days later. Paint was done very well.
The color is deep, uniform, shiny and matching my original color perfectly.
Bob then gave me an overview of the 2 year warranty, and took me through of the basics of car washing/paint preservation (which I plan to follow).
The car looks brand new.
Our son’s car was in a fender-bender. The car needed a front bumper cover and a right front fender replaced. The car is an older black car. While the body was otherwise undamaged, the finish on the car evidenced 100,000 miles in the Carolina sun; the clear coat was dull from weathering. We are fairly knowledgeable when it comes to automotive repair and had obtained several quotes from the major players in our area, one of which did $12,000 dollars for work for us last year. In spite of our prior patronage at that company, they would not even quote the job because they would only guarantee color match, not gloss match. That company said they could ‘blend’ the paint, and buff areas to ‘fool’ the eye, but not guarantee gloss match as time went on. That practice is ‘standard’ in auto repair industry.
We collected options from two more shops before going to Affordable Auto Painting. Bob at Affordable gave us a range of price options for completing the repair. In our particular circumstance, Affordable Auto Painting was able to complete the body work and paint and hand sand the entire car for $1,400 less than even MAACO quoted; and several thousand less than the other shops.
We could not be more pleased with the fit and finish of the car; so much so, as parents, we are now nervous our son is
driving such a pristine vehicle! Great job!!
One last comment:
It was our experience that Bob, the owner of Affordable Auto Painting, is affordable because he has done what
he can to minimize office cost while providing an EXCELLENT end product. When you stop in or call, you will be dealing
with Bob. If a call came in while he was tending to a customer he would explain to the caller he could best serve them by calling back, otherwise they would have to wait a while. For those who opted to hold, we personally saw him check back with people on hold, offering to call them back as soon as possible. We can verify he does promptly return calls because that is what happened when we first contacted him. He said he would call back and he did! A very honest, hard working individual. He will do what he can to complete repair work within your budget. His shop staff did an amazing job and delivered the car on time!!
