Off Leash Pet Sitting

We contacted Shar Tigner of Off Leash Pet Sitting to provide services while we travelled out of the country.  We were going to Japan for ten days and had nowhere to store our birds nor anyone available to come by as often as we needed.  Shar came to the property prior to our departure and got the lay of the land, establishing sources of food and water and where which animals lived, going over our feeding schedule and the services we needed her to provide.  We contracted her to visit the house on alternate days throughout our trip, messaging us with updates as her visits concluded.
Shar came by as scheduled and performed all tasks as we had discussed.  Unfortunately we had a predator move in while we were gone, and we learned too late that our bird housing was not as secure as we had thought.  Shar sadly reported on a few deaths in our flock as the week progressed, and took truly heroic efforts to prevent any more bird deaths than had already happened.  As is often the case, nature finds a way, and sadly it was not until the end of the trip when we asked Shar to move all of our birds inside that we stopped a gradual loss of our feathered friends.
Shar took initiative we would not have asked her to, moving not only our ducks but their 110 gallon tub (draining and filling it to do so, a not inconsequential task), and stopping by more often than scheduled to check on our critters.  She bagged the bodies for us (we bury them on our property), which given the nature of the predator was not a pleasant task.  Shar went truly above and beyond in caring for our animals.  Had she not been there and so diligent, we would have lost all of our flock rather than just the few we did.  Further, Shar took it on herself to make an international phone call to reach us, keeping us informed as our trip went on, more dutifully than we would have expected.  She turned in several late nights and several long days in her battle to save our birds, and made sure that as many as possible survived the incursion.
We have used pet sitters before and have been dissatisfied with the regularity of visits and the eccentricity of the sitters.  We've had sitters take our newspapers because we "weren't going to use them," or bring their own dogs to play with ours (tearing up our landscaping in the process).  Shar did none of these things.  She is a professional and reliable.  We would not only use her in the future, we would not use anyone else.
