Comfort Central

It was fine. They did what they said they would do. I think that they came out and said I needed something new, maybe a new compositor, for something like $1,500. We thought that was expensive since you can get a whole new unit for $3,500. We did not go through with their suggested work. Our unit was struck by lighting a little over a year later and stopped working so we will be in need of repairs or a new unit soon.

It took them two and a half days to install the equipment. They relocated the heat pump to the other side of the house. The air handler was located in a crawl space. Enlarged two of the air return lines and added an additional air return line. Added a condensate pump. Replaced the existing thermostat with a new one. They would show up at 8 am and leave around 5 pm. They could of done a little better job at cleaning up after the completion of the job like picking up a plastic bag, small pieces of metal sheeting, small amount of loose fiberglass insulation in the crawl space.

I love the unit, it works great, and Comfort Central has my business for the long haul when it comes to heating and cooling needs for my home.

The owner came. He was very nice. I got the impression he responds to all the Angie list sales that are new customers, to reel 'em in. But that's ok, I get that. In fact, he was so nice, I called them in 2013 too. But then I got just one of the worker guys and that just wasn't the same. In addition, things were wrong with my furnace and I needed a price quote and list of that, which he didn't have time to do...said the office would get that for me. Upon contacting the office via email, 2x, (which I use email to make the appts, so they usually were responsive), they just never got back to me. This year I found out I had lots of carbon monoxide leakage through a different company. So I would not use this company again. Too bad.

Technician was prompt and very thorough.

Provider was punctual and pleasant. The two men set up an exhaust fan to pull air from the house. Then used a meter to detect locations where air was being pulled in from the outside....around leaky windows, door frames, etc. The results were what I expected and were given to me verbally. I asked for a written report which was promised but never arrived. This is a good service for someone, like myself, who has recently bought/renovated a house. If a written report had been sent, the provider would have received top ratings in each category.

Comfort Central came to our rescue when we were having problems with McNutt Services. McNutt claimed I had a coil leak and the replacement and repair would be about $1733.00 I advised McNutt that we have a parts warranty contract with R E Michael Co. in Asheville. The parts could be exchanged at no cost. Only labor could be charged. McNutt was to get back to me about it and I called them several times and left messages- no calls were returned by McNutt. After my call to Comfort Central, Kevin, the owner came out next morning. I had asked him if he worked with our warranty company R E Michael in Asheville. He was familiar with our unit and the warranty process. Kevin was very professional and thorough with checking and rechecking our system for leaks. He found none. He put one unit of Freon in and would come back in 30 days to recheck. Thirty days later his office called me to ask if he could come to recheck system. He came and found everything okay. Kevin then completely refilled our system with Freon and it has been fine since. We have had Brian with Comfort Central come out twice and found a small problem with the heat pump. The part was replaced under our warranty and cost was minimal. I feel my AC/Heat Pump unit is in good hands and it is good to have someone you feel you can trust. I feel confident recommending Comfort Central for service and repair.

I called today, Saturday at about 10:00 and they arrived at approximately 11:45. The man who came happened to be the owner, Kevin and he could not have been any nicer or more professional. He fixed my problem by replacing the capacitor and now I am one happy, not to mention, cool customer. I abolutely recommend this company to any and everyone!

It was great. They came out shortly after I purchased the deal, I had them do work for me in addition to the work in the deal and I paid a total of $1200.

I can't say enough good things about how easy it was to schedule, how prompt they were, how thorough the technician was. And I love the electronic receipt! Makes my bookkeeping so much easier! I will be using them for all our needs.

The service was great. The gentleman that came out was very knowledgeable and professional. He found something that had been done incorrectly and fixed it. We will be using them again in the future.

Since we are an active hospitality business ( a B&B in a busy season) , we needed to change out our entire HVAC sysytem while meeting the need of our guests who were checking in and out every day throughout this process....4 days. Kevin and his crew were the ultimate professionals who met every unreasonable deadline we gave them, and performed with incredible sensitivity about what we were trying to achieve. I was extremely impressed with Kevin's ability to understand our problem and design a practical solution, as well as with his teams ability to do the installation in a very difficult environment with guests coming in and out. You will not find a better company anywhere who can understand what your issues are, and provide a solution that will please you ....I guarantee it.

Very good experience with Comfort Central. The technician was prompt and courteous. He needed to replace a part in the furnace but the cost was reasonable. I would certainly recommend this business.

The experience was great, he came in did the inpection and didn't try to sell or push a bunch of stuff on me. He came promptly and did the job quickly.

Called for the annual service and got appoinment promptly. Kevin came right on time and checked the unit. We also bought the service contrac.

I thought the company was excellent; they did everything that the deal had laid out and the technician was very professional and courteous. I thought they did an excellent job and we have used them a couple of times since for other work because of our initial good experience.

They also recommended some other things. My son-in-law is an A/C service provider and I had him come and check before I went with the expenses they projected. He recommended that I not do what they said that I should do. They were good in terms of being on time and I thought they did what they should have done, but when my son-in-law pulled the filters out of the air conditioning, they were filthy. That was the first thing they should have done. If he hadn't checked that, I wouldn't have known it. I would use them in the future, but I would double-check what they are doing and really ask some serious questions.

They are very personable, prompt and professional. They are courteous. I'm having them do a quote. We're thinking about adding a second zone. I'd probably shop another company as well or two and then compare prices along with everything else.

The person scheduling the appointment was also polite and helpful, and did a follow-up call to make sure the service was satisfactory. All in all, we are pleased with the company and will continue to use their service. As far as price goes, I think it is comparable to other similar services, but customer service here was impeccable.
