I found Stonecraft via Angie's List. Sal, the owner, was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. The sunroom was 12' x 19' and carpeted.  Sal and his assistant removed the existing carpet & hauled it away. Then prepped the floor for the tiles. Installed the tiles and grouted. The project took 4 days to complete. VERY pleased with the results. Note: the cost included the tiles which were obtained through Daltiles.

Sal is well organized.  He was very prompt responding to our query, and visited for an estimate the next day.

He showed up on time, right when he said he would.

The work was executed professionally and the backsplash looks great.  We are very pleased.

He cleaned up and left our kitchen in excellent shape.

I highly recommend Sal for tile work.

Everything went great. Sal was always here when he said he would be...and on time. The job was completed on schedule and the results were beautiful. I have a couple of projects in the future for the kitchen and my fireplace and will use Stonecraft for those as well.

We moved into home that has a very large area of tile backsplash with many electrical outlets (8) in a large kitchen. We wanted to keep backsplash and the only person I could find in Charlotte area willing and able to trim the backsplash was Sal at Stonecraft..

He is a master craftsman and was able to perfectly trim the bottom of the backsplash to slip the granite slabs underneath the bottom row of tiles. He caulked the tile/granite and you would never know it was not original. The tiles were cut dry and there was less dust as we initially thought there would be. His son Tony installed the granite countertops perfectly level.

Both were punctual, courteous and cleaned up afterwards very well.

They didn't use industry standards and cut the stone inside the house without tenting the room.  Ever since I’ve had the granite installed, I have dust in the house that cannot be removed even though I’ve had the ductwork cleaned twice.  The installer had a surly attitude and left a solvent on the backsplash.  He told me that I could clean it myself.  He also punctured some places on the wall without fixing it.  I was disappointed.  To this day, if I wipe my tabletops clean with a damp cloth, the next day there’s more dust.  I’m sure it’s not healthy to breathe those particles.  However, the countertops are beautiful, but the fact that the didn't abide by industry standards has resulted in dust particles in the house.  This tainted the whole experience.

Sal was wonderful to deal with.    He responded promptly to my inquiry, answered all my questions, and showed up when he said he would.   

My tile installation was challenging--1x2 beveled subway tile requiring cutouts around 8 electrical plates/switches.    Sal handled it like the professional he is---cutting each little tile individually to make the surface seamless.   He did a beautiful job.  The end result reminds me of a Victorian kitchen, and I love it.

I would not hesitate to recommend Sal to anyone needing tile installed.   I will definitely call on him again if the need arises.

We wanted to hire someone that had installed marble before and had good reviews.

While going through reviews on Angie's List we came across Sal.

After contacting him we scheduled a time to have him come out an give us an estimate. His price was inline or lower than other estimates we received, so it seemed fair for marble. He worked hard throughout the job and even worked while getting over a cold and on New Year's Day. He put down drop clothes, swept and cleaned up after himself. We had both floors done in our guest baths, tub surround in one bath and shower and shower pan in the other bath. Unfortunately, after the grout dried in one of the baths we contacted Sal after paying him to tell him that there was white mortar showing through the grout where it wasn't as thick here and there. We were disappointed after paying $4,400 that he said it would be $150 more for him to come back out and correct it by putting more grout on top of the other grout. So unfortunately the tile floor doesn't look very good due to the grout issue since it's tan with white mortar showing through here and there since it's grouted too shallow... We felt that the issue should have been corrected for free considering..
We also had to pay $100 to have the scrap pieces of marble taken away by another company after seeing it in the garage after they already left, which we thought they would be taking it with them like other tile contractors we've hired.

Calling Sal was by far one of the best decisions we have
made as newly home owners. After getting several estimates from ?Contractors?
and seeing the elevated prices for our guest bath remodel we decided to contact
specialists separately. After reviewing past reviews we decided to give him a
call. He came out the same day and provided a fair estimated for the demolition
and installation of shower wall tile and floor tile for the bathroom and
laundry room.  We scheduled a day for the
job and walked us through on how to get all of the materials.
He came out and performed an amazing job. We are so happy by
the look and craftsmanship and could not have seen it any better! I think it
would be foolish to not call him and hire him for any tile work? We are
definitely having him over for our master bath remodel? based on his estimate
we will be saving THOUSANDS over other estimates.

Sal is truly a craftsman!  On time and completed the job on time.  Total satisfaction and he left our kitchen spotless!  HIGHLY recommend Sal and his coworker...

There were a few communication hiccups (I thought contractor would order tile, but I was supposed to so installation date got bumped back a week or so while waiting for tile to come in), but the job got done and it was beautiful.

We are very happy with the granite countertops that StoneArt (StoneCraft) installed in our kitchen. Mark Anthony (Owner) was very helpful and professional throughout the whole process. He worked with us to pick out the perfect granite slap and edge. He was always on-time and was proactive in contacting us. From start to finish we had a truly great experience.

Easy to talk with.  Knows his craft.  Clean.  Brings his own tools.  Makes suggestions if he has a good idea.  He is cost conscience.

I would definitely recommend Stonecraft to anyone who needs tile work. Sal, owner, was very professional and flexible working with our schedule for both the measurements and installation. This is the 4th time we've used Sal! We have always had excellent results with him, and this is no exception. He works hard and consistently gives us what we want. We purchased and transported the tile to our house independently. Sal brought everything else. There are several challenges with installing tile onto a screened porch subflooring, but Sal managed it without any problems. We had originally wanted a larger tile 24x24, but Sal recommended we go no bigger than 18x18. It looks great. We really like it. Thanks, Sal!
