He was a very nice person. He responded to my call quickly and came by my home and I showed him the few things I needed repaired. Then the next day he emailed his estimate which was quite high, in my opinion. I chose to hire another company from Angie's.

All work was done to a high quality standard.

I've used Pete Bergen before.  This time, my tenants indicated that the carpet in the master closet was wet.  Thinking it was a leaking pipe, I called in the plumbers.  They found that there was a three foot long crack in the bathtub.  Pete came in, assessed the situation, helped us find a tub that would fit.  They broke the old tub in pieces to remove it, had to remove wall board to get it out, removed some tiles on the floor, put in the new tub including the plumbing, and then bought new tile that contrasted nicely with the original.  They repaired the walls, tiled them nicely and the job looks very professional.  They worked with the tenant to adjust to the tenant's schedule.  It is difficult to deal with repairs to a house from such a distance.  Pete makes it easy and is very reliable.

Some delay in getting started, but results were excellent. Very pleased with outcome.

They were great to work with. They came on time for the appointment. They cleaned up well after themselves. There were two guys here doing the work and they were very professional.

Mr. Bergen was an hour late for our appointment, but did call to let me know he was running late... we got the estimate a couple of days later...his bid was outrageously expensive for the minor work that needed to be done..we will not do business with this company.

The work was done within the time discussed with Pete. He was very responsive to any changes I asked for. I would highly recommend Bergen's Contracting for any repair needs, and will use them again as needed.

Mr. Bergen’s staffs were very good. But, Mr. Bergen himself is a very arrogant kind of a man. He comes to give a quote and insults the fact that we have masonite siding.

My husband was very impressed with their estimate, the details and the comprehensiveness of their evaluation. Something else happened and we weren't able to  have the work done. We still have the estimate and my husband liked it so much that he tries to use it now for the basis of getting estimates which are collecting again because we're now trying to get that work done. It kind of didn't come that way initially but my husband asked because the project was kind of big and he wanted it broken down into parts to see if we could do one step or another at a time basing on each part. Initially it just came with a grand total but he did work it down into smaller pieces and my husband was pretty pleased with that.

They did a good job.  They were really good.  They were good all around.  They never came into the house.  There was no sign of them being here when they left.

Pete and his team receive an A+ in my book! They are responsive, on-time, efficient, kind, caring, dedicated to excellence, and thorough in their work. I could not have asked for better service. I will definitely call Pete again when I need more work done and highly recommend his company.

I like them. They were professional, quick, and got it all done in one day. He did exactly what he said he was going to do.

It went very well. The contractor seemed genuinely interested in helping us fix up our modest little home. He made good suggestions and the work was very high quality.

Estimate was higher than expected.  Provider did not perform any work due to estimated price being higher than expected.

Bergen's Contracting did an EXCELLENT job replacing nine older wooden windows with polyvinyl framed and double paned replacements.  The plantation shutters attached to each of the nine windows were carefully removed.  Furnishings and carpets were moved.  The old windows were pulled out with care.  All debris was removed.
New windows were installed, leveled, and fully sealed per our agreement.  The interior repair used our left over wall paint.  The exposed portions of the windows were painted to match the frames and shutters. All interior work was meticulously performed by the Bergen crew to the extent that one cannot tell the windows had been replaced. 
Once the windows were completed, the exterior was pressure washed.  The painting crew scrubbed, sanded, and repaired (as needed)  the exterior trim.  Some wood was found to be rotted and was replaced with new.  Two coats were applied per the contract.  At the conclusion, all of the debris and excess materials were removed.
Two particular points that added to my satisfaction:  1.  I was apprised each day of what was done and what were the next steps to be completed.  As part of the walk around, I was shown were extra work was being performed.  2.  The interior workers took extra care to protect the furnishing, carpets, and floors.  They impressed us with their cleanliness and attention to detail.
Mr. Bergen was professional in his dealings and discussed all project matters with me to my satisfaction.

This started with a demand from our insurance company to repair the dormer windows within three weeks right over the Christmas holidays. We had planned to fix them in the Spring, but they said they would cancel our insurance if we didn't repair them immediately. We had a difficult time finding a contractor who would drop everything and fix our problem. When we contacted Bergen's, it was already past the deadline and I explained that I needed a very fast turn around. Pete Bergen gave me a bid within a day which was in the same price range as our normal contractor who couldn't do the repair until the Spring. He said he would make the repair before the end of January. Then the snow and ice set in. Pete had his crew out to the house on the very first possible good weather day, sent us pictures of the repair so we could prove to the insurance company that the repairs had been made, and then came back later, after yet another storm, to finish the painting of the repair. Pete saved us from having to shop around for another insurance company. His crew did a great job at a very fair price. We would use him again and again.

It was a lengthy experience, but the contractor was responsive to our concerns.

Workers seemed efficient and professional.  Carpeting was subcontracted.  Not sure if I would use again as price seemed somewhat high.

Pete was one of only a few firms that submitted a bid on the relatively simple job.  He was professional and responsive.  There were some communication issues between the buyer/tenant on scheduling the work, but I don't know whose fault that was.  Overall, it was a positive experience.  I never saw the completed job, but the buyer was satisfied to go through with the building purchase.  Cost seemed somewhat high, but I do not know that it was out of line.

They removed damaged floor molding and replaced it with new. They also removed and replaced trim around many of my doors. Pete's electrician fixed a fan that other electricians could not. Besides painting the trim they replaced, he painted the ceiling downstairs and the garage.

Quote and work was done on time and in a very professional manner.  Clean-up was excellent.  Applied promised discount due to amount of invoice.
