The individual who provided the service was very professional and completed the job quickly and efficiently.  I have no complaints about the work. In fact everything was outstanding.    The only problem was that  I paid for 2 hours and the job took less than 30 minutes.So end result was that it was not a good deal for me. Nothing against the company or the individual....I just overestimated the time it would take to install a ceiling light where there was none previously.    Next time, I will have other jobs ready just in case the planned job takes a lot less time than I estimated.

These guys are great!!  Matt was careful to come and inspect the property and make sure all areas were covered.  He was quick to point out things we might need without being pushy or up-selling, just wanted to make sure our needs were covered not just for now.. But in the future (like the cable and cat 5, it was a MARVELOUS call!)  I liked him immediately and felt very comfortable with his estimate and took a lot of his suggestions.  He listened to everything we wanted and made it happen. His team are a fun group of guys who are very personable and knowledgeable.

They worked well with other contractors working on the house and were quick to lend a hand if a little extra muscle was needed.  I felt completely comfortable with them in my home and by the end of the job was laughing and joking with them like they were old friends.  I was kinda sad when the job was done.  Evans Electric is staying in my contact book and I will happily call them with any other electrical needs and they will be the first I recommend to others. Thanks, Matt, Jaime and Jeremy for all of your hard work and making my home work like a charm!!

My home was built in 1955 and had the original electrical box.  The new box was impressive.  The young man that came out was friendly and professional.  Even though the job required an extra expense to bring everything up to code, it was well worth it.  I will definitely call on Evans Electric for any future electrical needs.

Since he did not have a replacement circuit breaker, he gave me a choice: He could see if he had one at the shop and return for another service call, or he could show me how to replace it myself. He very patiently and thoroughly showed me how to replace the breaker, what to touch and what to not touch (especially at the same time!). He had me wear leather gloves and let me practice with the bad breaker. This service call was $85.  I then went to home depot, bought the breaker and installed it myself in less than ten minutes. This saved me the cost of another service call.

Most of the detail is noted above, but, Matt and his assistant came out to our house. He diagnosed the problem with the lights. His switch did not match the color of the old switch, so he left to purchase the correct color. During this time, his assistant asked if there was anything else he could look at. I asked him to look at the ceiling fan and he quickly noted that the ceiling electrical box was not tightly installed and then proceeded to firmly anchor it. Matt returned with the light switch and quickly installed it as well. Matt then asked if there was anything else he could do before leaving. I showed him the fountain switch and he installed that too. He then presented me with a reasonable bill, I paid him and they left. All of the repaired areas have continued to work perfectly.

He installed a ceiling fan for us. He was really nice; he was very careful and cleaned up after himself.

I was impressed with his work and honesty. He was thorough, showed up on time and was a pleasure to deal with.

Perhaps Evans is not interested in small jobs. However, it is neither responsive nor professional to ignore customer inquiries altogether.

The job took about a week; with one to three guys working at any given time. I purchased all the fans and lighting fixtures from home depot that the crew installed. They made the same size and shape hole every time they needed to break into the wall, this made the dry wall repair much easier and faster. The crew was professional, they covered all my furniture will plastic and they were careful to keep the mess to a minimum. At the end of everyday they vacuumed and cleaned up the area. They always left at least one electrical outlet on at night for me, and they left an extension cord for me to use to run lights into other rooms. It has been about 3 or 4 weeks since the work was performed, and I am still very happy with the work I received for Evans Electric.

I purchased a coupon deal off angie's list for two hours of electrical work for $99.  I called and he was responsive and set date for work to be done.  He was prompt & all the seemingly small items of work it took almost the two hours.  This was quite a deal and greatly appreciate his work.

Great job, the young man who came out was quick, efficient and courteous.  Did the job in the estimated time and did a great job on the installation and cleaned up the mess.  Great work!

The serviceman was professional from start to finish.  He was cordial and thoroughly explained what he was going to do and systematically did what was promised.  He went room by room and assessed each electrical outlet, switch, etc.  He identified the ones that needed replacing and replaced them.  He assessed the circuit breaker and determined that nothing needed to be replaced.  This was key and contrary to an assessment by another electrical company who quoted a charge of $500 for the same services he provided plus an additional charge for the the circuit breaker.  He explained why I did not need a new circuit breaker and unlike the other company, he quickly identified the switch in the circuit breaker that had been recently replaced.

It went great. He repaired everything that was asked of him. Got there on time in the morning. Kept in contact when he thought he was going to be late due to heavy rain and bad traffic. But he arrived within the time frame he gave me when he booked the appointment. Overall a great appointment I will use him for future work.

Matt showed up at the agreed-upon time window to work on the dead phone line. He examined what I pointed out as the likely culprit  (the wire closest to the interior junction box that the phone company had to "monkey" with to get the line live when service was turned on 4 months before). He re-spliced the wires at that spot, and the issue was confirmed when the dial tone came back.  I expressed no interest in continuing to use what I suspected was 40 year-old wire, so Matt evaluated possible new line routing alternatives instead of just following the hokey way the "original" phone line ran.

There's no cable or satellite service to the house so there was at least 4 known unused separate coaxial lines. He suggested that if I had no intention of using the cable closest to outside phone network box, it can be snipped and the new phone line can run through that existing hole in the wall--it was simple, straightforward, and gave me the one jack I needed in this age of wireless routers and cordless phones.

Before leaving, he also help ID that the one GFCI power socket in the kitchen protected all the sockets on that side,

I had the $99 2-hr service deal from Angie's List and paid $25 in materials for the phone line.
