Bobby Davis Septic Tank Services

I called last week and asked if they could come today.  No hesitation, just said they'd be here Monday morning.  Got a call this morning letting me know the status and the approximate time they'd be here.  They were.  I have a pretty difficult driveway with trees, shrubs on both sides and some difficult turns and angles.  With little problem they negotiated the drive in with no damage to anything.  They got right to work.  Both men were very personable and friendly.  They were able to guess exactly how long it had been since the septic had been pumped (way too long).  They explained the complications that might come up if I wait too long.  I didn't have any yet so I was lucky.  I didn't feel like they were chastising me, just offering good advice to continue to be problem free.  They recommended a return visit, but in no way were they recommending a quick turn around.  He just told me how long I should go based on my usage.  They also suggested I use Rid-X periodically.  It was an overall positive experience, reasonably priced, no hassle.

When I tried to use my washing machine, sewage from my septic tank would back up into my bathtub and toilet and flood my floor (!).  The plumber I hired thought it was because the septic tank was clogged with roots.  So I called Bobby Davis Septic Tank to pump out the septic tank and clear away the roots.  They responded within 24 hours to pump the tank.  When that did not resolve the problem, they returned as soon as possible to deal with the roots.  Bobby Davis himself actually called 811 for me to get emergency service to identify the gas lines that the technicians would need to avoid (usually takes 48 hours but was done overnight), so that they could get the job done ASAP.  It turned out that the problem was not caused by roots in the tank, but by a grease clog all the way at the other end of the house.  The Bobby Davis technicians actually managed to finesse that clog out all the way from the septic tank end, so that I would not have to call the plumber!  (Usually not their job!)  Absolutely amazing!  I have used this company once before to pump my septic tank.  Everyone I have dealt with, from boss Bobby Davis to the staff of technicians, has been extremely friendly, competent, responsive and professional.  I highly recommend this company to anyone with septic tank problems.

Called on Monday made appt for Tuesday morning. Was prompt and on time. Was given suggestions of how to maintain tank from now til next time service is needed.

The technician was very good.  They came out a day after I called.  There was a bit of a lag in communication as to when they would arrive, but the job went well once they were on site. They answered all our questions. And handled the clean up very well.  I would use them again.

They came out promptly, completed the work efficiently and gave me some tips on maintenance which was very helpful. I will now be able to prolong the life of the septic field. I was really impressed. I thought the price was definitely good.

The septic improvement work was done in my front yard so this was NOT a "dig, cover and leave" job. Bobby exercised extreme caution and care to affect as little of the yard as necessary. He remained on the site throughout the all-day process, even though he has an extremely capable (and courteous) crew. Bobby even engaged the services of a truck that uses a conveyor to fill the trenches with stone. This avoided the need for numerous destructive trips across the lawn with a tractor to fill the trenches! 
Bobby PATIENTLY explained various options to me throughout the day. He was obviously well-aware of what the county inspectors would require with respect to the engineering aspects of the job. He also advised me as to what he would do with respect to the asthetic issues of the yard if it was his yard. In other words, he provided excellent and open-minded guidance. He treated the operation as if it was in his yard!
Finally, he "combed" the dig area to make it ready for fall seeding.
Bottom-line: Bobby is a master of the technical issues and CUSTOMER SERVICE!

We were desperately in need of septic service as our system had been acting up for several days and was not draining at all. Bad stuff was backing up in the downstairs bathroom. Based on the ratings I read on Angie's List, I picked out Bobby Davis Jr. Septic Tank Service and called them around 10am Tuesday morning. I was pleasantly surprised when they said they could be at my house that day by lunchtime or early afternoon. I went home to wait for them and was disappointed when they called at 2pm saying they were sorry but an emergency had come up and they would not be able to make it until Wednesday morning. However, they called me back a couple of hours later and explained that they really wanted to help us out and had rearranged things so they could still here by around 5 or 5:30pm on Tuesday. We really appreciated their flexibility and concern!
Chris arrived in the big tank truck around 5:20pm as expected and went right to work. He was extremely efficient, professional and pleasant to talk with. Our septic system is over 30 years old, and we have some concerns about how well it is aging. Chris listened patiently to my many questions and provided very knowledgeable and authoritative answers. One revelation was that the last time we had the tank pumped in January 2011, the folks who came out ( not  from Bobby Davis - I won't mention the name to protect the guilty) did not evacuate everything as they claimed - took the liquids, but apparently left the solids! Anyway Chris cleaned it all out very thoroughly this time. It's been a week now since he was here and no more clogs - we're keeping our fingers crossed, but so far so good. Bottom line, we will definitely be calling Bobby Davis in future for our regular septic maintenance, as well as for any unexpected issues that might (but hopefully won't) arise!

Contacted Bobby early Wednesday morning to schedule service for sometime Friday.  I told him I needed routine service and there was no emergency.  Received a call from Chris at 8 am Friday morning asking me if we could reschedule for Saturday since their truck was currently dealing with an emergency.  I said that wasn't a problem.  Chris called at 8 am Saturday morning and asked if he could arrive about 9 am.  Ok with me.  He was right on time, courteous, professional and did the job efficiently and neatly.

These guys are prompt, friendly, considerate, and professional.  I would definitely use them again.

Bobby was able to come out the same day I called, called to say they were on the way, showed up right on time, and allowed me to go about my business while they pumped out our backed up septic tank. They gave us recommendations to keep our septic from backing up again. We were completely satisfied and highly recommend them.

My septic tank was completely filled and was backing up my toilets. I called Bobby Davis the next morning and he had his guy, Chris, out here before 1pm to pump out the tank. The whole job took about an hour, complete with Chris finding and digging up the cover to the tank. (It's an old septic tank.)
The only criticism I could give is that when Bobby answers the phone, he should at least say the company name. He just said, "Hello?" and I wasn't sure I had the right number at first.
Chris was great. Real friendly guy who wasted no time getting the job done.

My son and I spent weeks trying to find someone to assist us with, and address our septic problems.  Bobby Davis was our last hope / phone call.  He came out almost immediately.  He didn't shy away from the work like all the others.  He listened to the issues, then provided an estimate and a work date.  He and his crew showed up on time.  Worked quickly and professionally and came right in on estimate.  I could not have asked for things to go any better.  They did not cut corners - they treated this home and yard as well as they would have their own. 
This is the way a business should run!  A+ service all around!  Thanks guys!

Bobby was top notch from start to finish.  He came out right away to troubleshoot the issue and had a team out to fix it within a week (most of the time was waiting for gas and electric lines to get painted).  His estimate was almost half of another contractor and the final bill was $50 less than his original estimate!  Good dude, solid work, great price.  Highly recommend him to others.

I called every 24 hour septic tank services in the area.  Bobby Davis answered immediately, came out and pumped my septic tank and my neighbors on Christmas Eve for a very reasonable price.

In the process of selling our home we discovered during an environmental inspection that our septic tank was not accessible.  I contacted Bobby who came to my home and gave me some options as to what could be done.  Per the county inspector the only option was to remove the old septic tank and place a new one.  Bobby gave me an estimate for work and a completion date.  There was some confusion on the completion date however that was largely due to a misunderstanding between the inspector and me so Bobby had to return to finish the job.  He was able to complete all the necessary work within his original estimate.  My major concern was having the work done without damaging the deck and Bobby was able to successfully complete the job without any damage to the deck.  He was also very good at explaining how a septic tank works and the ways to keep it functioning efficiently over the years.  I would use him again and would highly recommend him.  The only problem that I encountered was getting in touch with him initially.  His business is family owned and he supervises every job.  Once I made contact with him, he provided me with his cell phone number so that I could get in touch with him more easily.   He was also formerly an inspector so he was very familiar with the county codes and also knew the inspectors which seemed to aid in getting the inspections done in a timely manner.

The were willing to schedule the inspections at a time convenient for us with short notice. They arrived promptly and got right to work. they answered our questions and explained how everything worked and what might cause problems in the future. They had a good sense of humor and were fun to work with. As the tank covers were buried they had to dig up a small part of the yard but they left the area neat.

Ontime, did the job without any issues.

This was a very positive experience.  The response was fast and the issue corrected.  When the second problem bounced up there was also very fast response and the issue corrected.  I will certainly use Bobby Davis going forward for any problems.
