Our garage door began to make some very strange and loud noises when opened and closed. My husband and I saw that a chain was hanging down from the lift. We called Precision Door Service and they sent a repair tech that day. His name was Scott Trainor. Scott was prompt and most courteous. He evaluated the problem and advised us of what needed to be done.
He was conscientious and particular about his work. Therefore, we felt confident of the decision he recommended for repair.

Precision Door Service is outstanding!!  I was extremely pleased with my services and wouldn't hesitate to use again in the future. The technician was knowledgeable, courteous, and showed up exactly when he said he would.  He thoroughly investigated my problems and gave me a detailed analysis and cost estimate before he began the work.  I have a very expensive garage door (wooden carriage) and he repaired it so it is like new again.  Do not hesitate to call this company!!  Highly recommend!!

They were AAA-mazing!!! Very professional, prompt, knowledgeable and courteous. Best price of all companies I checked.  No extra charge for weekend /evening appointment. I called at night and they were able to come the next day, but I needed a morning appointment so we made it for the day after. I was given a 2-hour window and the technician showed up just after the window opened. He explained what I needed and the cost of the job and got to work. It took him more than 2 hours and I am very happy with the new unit. It's much quieter than my old one. Scott was prompt, professional, and a pleasure to deal with.

It went great. Scott Probst (the Technician) was on time and very professional. it was over 100 degrees that day and he got a lot of work done for us. He took the time to explain the problem of the tension spring breaking and offered some options of installing 1 vs. 2 tension springs. Then we asked him about replacing the garage door opener since it was old and made a lot of noise (chain drive). Scott again gave us the pros and cons of using a chain drive vs. the belt drive. We decided on the belt drive and the price he offered was reasonable when we looked at similar models at Lowe's and Home Depot online.

First, the service call cost of $59 apx. is GREAT compared to the "main" Overhead Door (our brand of grage door opener & door) provider in Charlotte, they charge $130.  Tech had to re-wire a connection on the garage door sensor, which was included in the service cost.  He was honest about services they offered & what was REALLY important for us to replace/fix vs. what was 'above' what was really needed at this time.  The overall cost of the springs we needed was a little high at $118 each, but after looking at the springs myself, it was obvious this was an integral part that really did need replacement to keep our (heavy) garage door SAFE and operational without having issues that would just re-appear in another month or two (house/door is just over 5.5 years old).
Tech was EXTREMELY polite and helpful! In addition, it was obvious he knew exactly what he was doing and was able to fix things very fast!  It was very reassuring and gained my immediate trust in his ability and his company.

We had a great experience from start to end!  Mark was very professional and promptly replaced the spring to our garage door opener.  It was especially nice that his business was open on a Sunday.  A++

This provider advertises 24 hr emergency service and hours from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sundays. We called them at 7:45 pm on Sunday 11/10 because our garage door came off the track and would not close. We were told there was nothing they could do as they had already sent all the technicians home (15 minutes early!!!) They did not offer to help in anyway. Doesn't deserve the A rating given on Angie's List.

Needed new springs. They were more than I expected, but I'm guessing garage door repair is just more expensive than I thought and they were in line with everyone else. I honestly didn't do much price comparison.

Scott was on time, calling about 15 minutes before he arrived. Was very friendly and professional. He programmed our in car remotes as well to open the garage door. Lubed all rollers and hinges and tightened hinges as well. The garage door seems so much quieter as well. I would highly recommend the team to anyone needed PM on their doors.

Spring was broken. Technician upon inspection found that the torsion tube was bend, and one of the drums/bearing plates and race were destroyed. A simple 2 hour job turned into an full afternoon 5-6 hrs. Technician very professional in explaining what was needed. Did not have the correct springs ( required commercial grade/heavy duty specialty spring.) Made round trip to warehouse and finished up the job the same day... stayed until it was complete (around 7:00PM)
Once completed, he reviewed maintenance tips to keep door tuned. Door is quieter than when it was new.
Provided very reasonable price; waived and quot;initial service chargesand quot; and provided a 5% senior discount.

The company rep arrived on time (same day as the call) and diagnosed the problem right away. It was fixed and working properly in less than two hours.

Initially called Precision based off of reviews on Angies list and ValPak coupon. Over the past 2 years our garage door would, on occasion, not close. In addition to occasionally not closing it would make quite a bit of noise when opening and closing. After completing the checklist the technician recommended doing the overhaul (with warranty) as simply replacing the springs at this point might mean they could be back in the near future to replace another piece (note: the house is 16 years old).

I'm very happy with the results as I haven't had any issues with closing and the noise we heard before is totally gone. My wife was amazed at how much quieter the whole thing was and wished we had done the work much sooner. In addition the warranty reassures me that if something goes wrong it will be covered.

The experience was great. The problem was fixed. The only negative was that when I called I was told my appointment window was 4-6. The tech called at 5:30 and told me the appointment he was working on was taking a little longer and he would be another hour or so. He came at 7 and was done at 7:30. I understand that happens and was fine with it since he called and explained.

The job overall went excellent. The installers did obviously what we wanted. They did a great job. They were very prompt. We were looking for one of the quiet doors and they had that. They came out and installed the door the same day. We would use them again in the future too.

The technician said that they did not have the coils available and he would have to find them and that they would have to go to a specialty company in Ohio. After getting quotes from additional companies, I figured out that this company inflated its prices to reflect the neighborhood they were working in.

Our old garage door had been replaced by another contractor with unsatisatisfactory results. When we could not get satisfaction form the original installer, we called Precision Door in to correct the situation. They did the replacement promptly, professionally and at a better price than our first contractor. I wish we had gone to Precision in the first place, but we will definitely go back to them for any garage door work needed in the future. That may be awhile, as the door looks and operates great!
