Workman came early on the first day to begin the process of stripping the damaged roof to determine what work needed to be done. He said he was a contractor when we thought BTR did not subcontract. There were problems with needing a jack for the roof. The one in the truck didn't work and the workman was not authorized to purchase another one. He left very early that day and we did not see him again. There was another delay for a day waiting for the roofer to be available to complete the roof, since the original workman was a carpenter. When the job was finished, we identified a few more items that needed to be done. Kevin sent a workman out to do these things to our satisfaction. We did feel that for the time spent on this project, and the materials purchased, the price was a bit high. Also, Kevin did not review and approve the finished project himself. We thought that odd. We did note that his site on Angie's List now has an alert that the company no longer does business in our area. Perhaps difficulties were the result of being too far from home base.

Great. They came out when they were supposed to and did a good job at a fair price. The only problem I had was one little spot near the return where they forgot to flash. I called and they came right back out. Of course I had not paid them yet either, but they fixed it up and were very professional about it. Overall I really like them and they did a good job.

They did do a very good job. I am very pleased with the work that they did. they did arrive on time to do the work. They price that they gave me was very reasonable.

Kevin came over to give us an estimate. He was professional, listened to our needs and provided us with a quote that was less than other contractors. One of the things that impressed us most was his attention to details. Kevin oversaw the whole process and made sure that our expectations were met. The communication with this company was superb! The workers were pleasant and did a great job of cleaning up after their work was completed. The roof, gutters and skylights are done and it all looks great and works great as well.

A few days after I initially called their office, Dennis Baker came out and went through the attic until he found the source of the leak (fortunately, it was raining at the time). He then went around the house to see if there were any other roofing issues that needed attention. (All this was complementary). He noticed an obvious loosening of some flashing over the garage. He gave us a reasonable estimate for the work needed. We had used BTR before and since we were pleased with their work, we accepted the proposal. Although he said it may be a week or so before they could come out to do the repair, I had a scheduled repair a few days later. Andres came out and took care of the problems. He came on time, was very professional and finished the tasks within a few hours. He did a good job cleaning up. I am satisfied with the work.

Noticed a small leak in roof during recent heavy rains. Contacted a few contractors and was only able to get in touch with BTR (the others never returned my phone calls). BTR arranged to come out the following week. Bill arrived on time and after locating the leak fixed it on the spot.

They are prompt, reliable, trustworthy. You get what you pay for and that is excellent service at a fair price.

The gentlemen came out and did the estimate, I told him to do the work and within a week they work was done, and they left a bill on my door. No fuss! No muss!

I am very pleased with the work done by BTR Roofing. In addition to a couple of blown-off shingles, I had a leak in a downstairs room near a 2 ft. bump-out that was difficult to diagnose because it only happened during very heavy or extensive rains. I never actually met Dennis Baker; he called prior to the scheduled appointment to say he was in the area and could I meet him earlier than agreed. I was at work and could not but, sympathetic to the issue of gas prices, I agreed to discuss over the phone. He called me from my front yard and proceeded to give me a very thorough explanation of the existing and possible issues. He would not guarantee that the leak would be fixed because it could be due to issues in the brick or window above, but there were several possible culprits he could fix and he promised me if it leaked again it wouldn t be a roofing issue. He left a very detailed estimate and a shingle sample since he said he couldn t exactly match my discontinued and faded shingles. I was a bit concerned after I faxed back my acceptance to not hear from them for a couple of weeks, but apparently they only call a couple of days in advance to actually schedule the job, and it was done within the time frame estimated. They did the job on the day scheduled and there was absolutely no mess; the only way I could tell they had been there is that the roof over the bump-out looked like a much more solid job than what it had replaced. There have been no leaks since, and after the rains from Hurricane Fay I feel confident the problem is solved. I was also impressed by Dennis s commitment to fix whatever other minor issues they found on the roof, which is exactly what I was looking for.

I was a little disappointed because he ended up not coming out because my home is on the wrong side of the county. They made me feel like dirt, I felt like I wasn't worth his time. They weren't very courteous. The receptionist was very nice and professional. She made the appointment right away. My mother's health was failing and that caused me to miss the appointment.

Prompt appointment to provide estimate and returned within a week to perform the work.

BTR did an excellent job on our roof. Kevin McHugh was professional and pleasant to work with. The work was done quickly and the clean up was good.

The Company representative, Dennis, was (i) on time, (ii) professional, and (iii) knowledgeable. He provided value added service by taking the extra time to explain his job estimate. If we go through with the repair work, Dennis and BTR will likely get my business. ($4,500.00)

Dennis came out and gave quote, which was better then two other companies quotes. One in Concord and the other in Charlotte. Both were Angie's List companies as well. When the date was set up the material arrived the day before and the staff was on site ready to go first thing in the morning. They completed the job (two story 2900 square foot home with two parts being extra steep) in one day. The clean up was excellent and you did not really know they had been there except the new roof. The second day I had the roof, it rained very hard. I found a slight leak coming down a heating unit exhaust pipe. The leak was so slight and was dripping in a catch pan for condensation. The leak may of been there from before since it was more the pipe then the roof. Plus there was rust. BTR still came out and looked at it the next day and made some repairs. I have not seen the leak return to date.

They were very courteous when they were here working. They did a very good job and they always showed up on time to do the work. The price was very reasonable.

They went above and beyond. They were very good to work with and I was very satisfied. I would definitely use them again if I needed to.

Went well from the estimate through completion. They were on time for appointments, cleaned up the work area and made all the necessary repairs.

They did a good job and did good cleanup. They gave us a quote and it was right on. They did everything they were supposed to do. We are very satisfied.

Overall, I was 90% happy with the shingle job, but the siding of the fascia boards was very, very poor. About half of it had to be redone because it wasn't installed properly--the siding was buckled in several places, corner pieces were "homemade" and put up crooked with dents in them. The corner pieces were never redone even though I asked BTR to redo them and was assured they would be redone, so they still look bad. Even though the worst of the buckled siding was redone, it still looks amateurish and unprofessional. In several areas, the siding doesn't even completely cover the front of the fascia boards, which means they'll be prone to rot in the future. My contract also specifically called for an old furnace pipe to be removed from the roof and for all 3 of the holes left by the pipe (including the one in the attic floor and the one in the floor of the house) to be patched. Only the roof hole was patched, but I was invoiced for the patching of all 3 holes. I've also paid for that, but will have to now call another company out to do the 2 holes that haven't been patched since BTR never finished this. I suppose I could've reminded them a 2nd time to come out and patch those 2 holes, but given the quality of workmanship I saw on the gable returns and the siding, I prefer to try my luck with someone else. In addition to the workmanship issues, there was a good bit of miscommunication with the office manager, who is not very pleasant to deal with (not very customer friendly). There are messages that don't get relayed, calls that don't get returned, etc. In fact, the owner himself seems to be the only one who cares about his customers or the work that is delivered to them. BTR had been considered for a $25,000-$35,000 addition to my home, but after this experience there's no way I can contract with them for the job and there's no way I could recommend them to anyone else.

The workmanship was outstanding. I had questions what they ended up having to do was less than what we had talked about and when I questioned them about that, the follow up was less than satisfactory. I took them six weeks to get back to me and the owner's son was snarky to me over the phone about it, but the people in the office were great, though.

They were very accommodating. They were on time and the supervisors showed up every day. They were very respectful about being around my house and very professional about cleaning up their mess.

I called, they were prompt and gave a competitive estimate. They did the work on time, weather permitting. The work crew was all Hispanic; therefore, limiting my ability to communicate. The workers were very accommodating when it came to stuff falling on her flowers.

They did a good job and I would use them again.

I have used their services before. Everything went fine. They gave us a quote and it was right on. They came on time and cleaned up after themselves. They got the work done in a timely manner.

Scheduling was prompt, although they called twice to reschedule. At least they called and showed up as planned. When scheduling, I told receptionist about unique aspects of my home requiring a 3-story ladder. Receptionist assured me they would be prepared. The gentleman who showed up to do the estimate was not aware of the special instruction and he was not prepared to look at my whole roof. Instead he said that storm damage can be assessed by looking only at the part of the roof he could access. He seemed to know his business and professionally explained his findings. However, he did not leave anything in writing to document his findings. Overall, I don't feel like I had a full assessment of my need.
