. v.. HE DID VERY GOOD AND THOROUGH WORK UNDER HARSH WORK CONDITIONS AS IT STARTED TO RAIN, HE KEPT AT UNTIL HE HAD THE JOB DONE. HE THEN CLEANED UP VERY THOROUGHLY UNDER THE SAME CONDITIONS. I WILL START OUT WITH THEM FIRST WHEN I HAVE ANY ROOFING DONE.

I purchased the gutter cleaning special. BTR called promptly and set up the appointment. The worker arrived on time and performed the service very efficiently and left no mess.

Great work. I have very steep roof and there is no way I am getting on top to clean the gutters. BTR did a great job and even blew the leaves off of the yard (as opposed to blowing the leaves from the gutter into the yard). I would definitely use them again next season.

The worker (sorry - forgot his name) came on the appointed day and installed the flashing. He was pleasant and professional. While he was here, he pointed out that we had soffits that were missing (again, neglegient builder) and could cause a problem. Fortunately, BTR offered a Big Deal a few weeks later so we took advantage of that. Dennis, the owner came out to look at the problem. He was very friendly and professional. He offered to take care of the gutter as well as the soffits at no additional cost. I would definitely hire them again.

Good first impression with poor follow through kept us from giving them our business.

It went great. The tech who performed the cleanup was thorough, very careful and very professional. I was pleased with the results. I would certainly use the services of BTR in the future.

The company contacted me on 12-10-12 to evaluate the job and recommend additional work that I had asked them to peruse. They were concise and I totally understood all the ins and outs of what was needed. When the workman arrived as per preset schedule on 12-12, he commenced work immediately. He was very thorough and pleasant and did not need any information from me. He accomplished the job in a minimum of time with great effort and skill. Having more than one thing to do, he did the repairs first, then the cleaning of the gutters next and finished with completely cleaning the roof and bagging debris. Outstanding would be too little to describe the final results.

They came out and inspected the roof leak and gave a fair estimate quote for the the work. I did not use this company, as i received a better quote from a competitor.

Chris showed up right on time and was very polite and helpful. He completed the task in a timely manner. He left a quote with me for items he had noticed needed to be corrected or added, but there was no pressure to schedule an appointment to complete those tasks. I was really pleased with his professionalism and his desire to complete the job well (ie he didn't just get the leaves out of the gutters and leave them where they fell). I would definitely use BTR in the future.

I purchased a Angie's List coupon for gutter cleaning. BTR called me to schedule the appointment within 24 hours of the purchase of the coupon. BTR came out a few days later to clean the gutters. They were perfessional and on time.

They were very prompt and called me to schedule. I am going to have my roof redone since my insurance company agreed to cover it so the roofers will clean the gutters at the same time. BTR was very prompt and very professional and were also understanding when I called to cancel.

My experience was great. The sales person explained everything so there were no surprises. There pricing was good compared to some others. They did a really good job of cleaning up. My roof looks great.

I guess the company was so swamped with work at the time, they couldn't get a standard crew together. I was quoted a 2 day completion time. I believe the total time the job actually took was closer to 10 due to having *TWO* men roofing an entire 4,000 sq foot house. In fairness, the two men that did the job were outstanding and worked as hard as they possibly could. Pretty amazed they actually got it finished in the time they did.

Dennis was just incredible. We were in the midst of relocating to Fort Mill and he called me while on the roof to share what he saw and how he wanted to fix it. He was very honest is saying that our dormer issue was much larger (it needed to be removed) but that he could put a band aid on it until we could do it. For the flat roof, they applied a rubber membrane and reapplied the shingles around it. In addition to it looking great, the leak is gone which is what matters most. We'll be removing our dormer in the fall and will be calling BTR to come back and help get the home completely water tight.

Initial contact with Chris Eddings was not only informative it was also very professional and pleasant. The crew was on time and worked very efficiently to get the job done. The roof looks great and my wife and I are extremely pleased with this company and would eagerly recommend them to anyone we know.

They started on they day they promised but due to weather, it took ~4 days to complete vs. 2. Overall quality was good and they did a good job cleaning up. We made it apparent that we had children and stray nails in the yard were not an option and they took extra care to run a magnet through the yard (though some still stuck in the driveway cracks). We've had the roof for ~5 months and it looks great!

The roof was leaking, staining the ceiling in the dining room. Signed up for Angie's list to find a good contractor who is local. I found BTR, gave them a call, and they came right out to analyze. They gave what I considered a great price. BRT sent out their team to fix within a week.

.The job went well, clean up went well. Had damaged wood, they replaced the wood. Very pleased with the job. I would use them again They also honored a $50.00 coupon that they had on Angie's website.

Promptly responded to call for estimate. Conducted most thorough inspection of attic and made helpful recommendations. Didn't get appointment confirmation call until Friday afternoon ahead of Monday morning appointment. Team arrived promptly Monday morning and were completed by Noon. Very professional and courteous - would recommend and use again.

The story of the signed contract lasted nearly 11 months. On 7/29/2011, I received a quote for the work and it came to $485. I was pleaded with BTR at this point and signed the contract, scanned it, and emailed it to their office. I did not put down any money at this point, and in the end I never did, as you will see. I did not receive any contact from BTR after a week, so I called and was told that they were behind schedule with roof replacements and would be getting to it soon. I called again mid-August and they told me again that they would get to it. By the end of August, they had not contacted me. Seeing that I was back to a busier schedule teaching and the contract was void after 30 days, I stopped calling them. Nearly 11 months later.... Once again on summer break, I called BTR on 6/14/12 and asked what had happened. Dennis told me that the quote would have to be done again and came out that very afternoon. At this time, I also forwarded the previously signed contract email to their office. They could see that they had received it and apologized for the error, emailing me that that they had experienced changes within office administration and that some things had not been "relayed to salesman." After Dennis arrived that same day, his quote for the same work, minus installation of a $75 drip edge that he had told me was unnecessary but was put on my first quote, was $1246 (157% or $761 higher in cost). When I showed him the first quote, he said that David had misquoted me and that they would loss money on the work. I expected him to make an adjustment for the inconsistency, but he did not. He left me with the second proposal. Then, at 7:30 AM the following morning, a worker from BTR arrives at my door unexpected and without any notice to perform work. I ask to see the contract and when I look at it, I find that it is the original quoted work from David. Although, with only one worker, he cannot pull the gutter down by himself. I call the office and speak to Dennis. He tells me that David got wind of the dropped contract and sent the worker to my house this morning himself (not notifying me or Dennis). Dennis said that the contract now at my house was void and that they had made an error. Not one to pay for their work at this point and realizing that if I go ahead and sign for the $485 work this man cannot do it anyway, so I do not have the worker try to do the work. At this same time, the worker is notified from the office to not perform the work and to leave. After I ask and Dennis explains the situation, I expect him to step forward and try to resolve this obviously poor customer service and he does not. All that I get from him is "this was an error." I receive no apology for being woken up by an unexpected worker at my house or the conflicting proposals that are being still being "presented" by two of their salesmen. I later signed for another company to do the work and am pleased with their follow-through. In the end, BTR failed to initiate the work that I signed for after nearly eleven months. After the third phone call the following summer, they give me a second quote 157% higher than the first and denied the first quote, while also sending another worker unannounced to my house for the first quote, even though he could not do the work and was then told to leave. From BTR I saw very poor office communication, interoffice conflicts and inconsistent quotes, poor service responsiveness, and poor customer service. No service was rendered. I paid nothing to BTR but a good chunk of my time.

After the hail storms last year, I noticed a dozen or more homes in the streets around my neighborhood with roofing contractor signs in their front yards. Several roofing companies, some of them likely "storm chasers" sent fliers offering a "free" roof. A couple salesmen even knocked on the door, unsolicited, offering to fix the "hail damage" on my roof, but I turned them away, suspecting fraud or a scam. I couldn't see any damage to my roof, and it wasn't leaking, so I delayed having anyone check it out. But when I researched, I found it can take years for a roof to develop leaks after hail damage. Anyway, since my roof was 12 years old and hadn't been inspected since I moved in 6 years ago, it seemed reasonable to have the roof checked out. I selected three companies from Angie's List and scheduled appointments. It wasn't just that I wanted to compare estimates; although price was important, I also wanted to find a contractor I felt I could trust, who would listen to my concerns and communicate clearly, even "educate" me about the process. I chose BTR because the price was competitive, although their bid wasn't the lowest, and because I felt the most confidence in Chris, in the comprehensive estimate provided, and in the quality of the materials to be used. When Chris came out to do the estimate, I was surprised by how much time he took going over the roof, taking measurements, photographing the damage he found. (I didn't go up on the roof with him.) Chris was very thorough, and although he believed there was hail damage, he presented me with options in case the insurance company refused to pay the claim. He suggested I contact my insurance company to start a claim, and he offered to meet with the insurance adjuster. That really gave me peace of mind, feeling like I had an advocate, and to my relief, the insurance company agreed it was hail damage and to replace the roof. At the same time, I had already contracted with another firm to build a screened porch on top of my existing deck, and since the addition would need a roof, I needed these two companies to coordinate their activities and schedules. This part of the process could have been difficult, with delays and finger pointing, but the hand-off from the screened porch guys to the roofer and back went off like clockwork. I was very impressed with BTR. They were easy to work with, and their work was exceptional. Very good communications. The workers showed up right on schedule. Rain was predicted, and Chris had already set the expectation with me that the workers would be able to re-shingle the back of the house on Monday morning before the storms moved in, then complete the work on Tuesday. On Monday, the men worked very quickly and efficiently through the morning, completing the first half of the roof about lunch time, just as the storms moved in. They cleaned up before leaving for the day, although they left equipment and suppllies overnight. Next morning, they were back first thing to re-shingle the front of the house. All in all, the work was completed in a day. The workers were well mannered, respectful, and amazingly quiet. Other than the construction noise, there was no loud talk, no radios blaring. After the roof was complete, the workers were very careful in looking for debris and nails, spending perhaps 2 hours in all. We only found a couple of nails that were overlooked. Because our property is well landscaped, with shrubs and plantings around the entire perimeter of the house, we had been concerned about possible trampling of plants, but the workers were careful and no damage was done. After they left, I walked all around the house with binoculars, inspecting the roof. I was completely satisfied with the results. However, when the representative came out later for the final inspection, he reported finding a "problem" I hadn't noticed. In a couple of spots, he said the shingles didn't match the others. It wasn't obvious, not at all. Knowing I was satisfied with the roof, he could have said nothing. But he pointed out this issue and promised to get someone out that afternoon to take care of it. True to his word, workers arrived within a couple of hours to replace the shingles. Need I say? The new roof looks amazing. The upgraded architectural shingles really add to the curb appeal of my home. I couldn't be happier with the results and will definitely use BTR again.
