They never finished the estimate because they said they couldn't do it. They were efficient, but not willing to do the work.

Joe and his associate did a great job, finishing the project in a little over five hours. Cleaned up well and assured us of assistance should any problems arise. Would not hesitate to call upon Joe and his company again.

Very pleased with the overall work done by Joe and his team. Joe came out and did an estimate the day we called. He talked with my husband about the difference in the shingles he uses and gave us a sample book of colors to look at. Once we decided on everything, they sent over all paperwork very quickly and got us on the schedule. They let us know the day before that they would be coming the next morning to start the new roof. Joe and his team were very polite, worked very quickly and cleaned up everything just as he said they would. Not only was Joe honest and up front of what it would cost for boards if they needed to be replaced, but he was also honest in telling us that he wasn't able to put the drip edge in because we already had them built in; therefore, he took the cost of the drip edge off of our total. We were very pleased and our new roof looks great. We definitely recommend Roofing by Joe if you need any work done.

Joe and his crew arrived on time and finished the job early. Everything went as planned. Job was done proffesionaly and correctly. Area was kept clean all during the process.

I called on Monday for a free estimate and was told that it would be Friday before anyone could provide one. That wasn't a problem since both leaks were minor and no rain was predicted. I called back on Friday morning and was told that I was on the list and Joe would call ahead. A short time later he called and arrived when he said he would. There was some confusion initially because he thought I'd called for an estimate for roof replacement instead of repairs. I showed him the problem areas, he gave me the price, was willing to warrant his work, and said he could do it while onsite. He worked safely, using a safety harness and lanyard while on the steeper parts of the roof. The repairs did not take long, but Joe took his time explaining what the problems were and what needed to be done, and even took a few minutes to do some things that were not in the original scope of work. It was apparent that he knew what he was doing after 30 years of experience. He and Mike were personable, polite, and professional, and told me to call if I had any problems. As of this review, about 90% of the reviews shown on Angie's List are excellent, which is the reason I called him. Since we're fairly new to the area, it's good to know that we have someone local to rely on for roofing repairs/replacement.

We are extremely happy with the service, price, and quality of work Roofing by Joe did. The owner, Joe was on time for the bid, and when he started the job, he and his team were on time and worked hard. Joe delivered what he said he would. Joe went the extra mile and fixed the gutters when he re-attached them thus saving me money on my next project.

We called Roofing By Joe to fix a pesky leak just above a sunroom window. This was happening when we were having that heavy rain for a while. Joe thought it was coming from behind the flashing of a skylight and did his 1st repair. A few days later we had another downpour and the leak reappeared. Joe came out againfor his 2nd repair (no charge), reapplied silicone and said he thought he had it but to call if it returned. And the leak did come back ... and so did Joe. Again, at no charge, this time he pulled up shingles and applied his 3rd fix. That did the trick. I think it speaks volumes when a man keeps returning until the job is done right. Shows character and care for his customers. That's a rare quality to find these days. Joe's got my sister's, my niece's and my business. He's done all 3 of our roofs in the past and now he's got my sister-in-law's house too. He's a guy we can count on.

I received a reply via Angie's list within 24 hours. Joe was able to visit the property several days earlier than anticipated, which was much appreciated. We're having to make several big decisions on priorities for house maintenance and it was a relief to get a professional opinion on the roof so quickly. No hard sell. Just honesty and a lot of great information. (And a quick clean-out of debris from the roof free of charge.) We will be sure to call Joe when it's clear our home is in need of a professional roofer. A great experience all around.

Went great. Staff was very respectful and considerate. Yard and driveway thoroughly cleaned everyday. All questions answered along the way. Joe was on the job and available everyday.

The work was excellent. Looks great! The price was pretty much the same as others, maybe a tiny bit more. Not a problem. Four months later there was one small leak (due to a misplaced nail in a ridge vent we found out) and Joe was at the house the NEXT DAY and fixed it. Awesome! It took a while to get on their schedule, and there were rain delays, but the work was fantastic and well worth the wait. I'd much rather have it done right than done right away. And, I would expect someone who is really good at what they do to be booked up in advance. I consider that a good sign.

Terrible. The woman who returned ort message (They don't EVER answer. They screen all their calls, so good luck if you have a problem) was asked if they could give a ballpark on repairs on a house we were buying. We needed a ballpark to ask the home owners for repair cost. "Sure!" We said we could provide the inspection report, and emphasized SEVERAL times, "Don't go to the house! It's occupied and we don't own it!" We didn't even give them the address, they got it from the inspection report. What happened? He (who we can't talk too because they screen calls) got on their roof... While they were home... Without ringing the doorbell!!!! What contractor just climbs on a house without knocking? He may be a good roofer, but he nearly ruined our contract because of a lack of communication. Called to find out what happened... "Oh. Sorry. Yeah we can't do estimates from inspection reports." Sigh

Gave Roofing By Joe a shout on short notice Saturday AM. Joe came out the same morning and repaired a roof leak before lunch. This is our second encounter with Joe and we would not hesitate a split second to recommend him to anyone. Rare these days he is a man that oozes professionalism in all aspects if his work. He also dispays a strong sense of integrity and pride . Plus he'll truly stand behind all he does. And oh... He'considers himself a true patriot. There's nothing left to say except the service has always been truly exceptional.

Went great. After reading reviews on Angie's List, we called Joe's office on Monday, July 4. We left a message explaining that we did not expect them to be open on the holiday, but asked for a call back the next day. We had a very prompt and polite response the next morning (Tuesday July 5), and scheduled a Saturday morning visit to determine the problem and a solution. Later on Tuesday, Joe called, said he'd had to suspend work on a job in Asheville due to a thunderstorm, and asked if it would be convenient for him to come to our home in a few minutes. We were glad to have him do so; he quickly sized up the problem (leak was around a section of flashing) and made the repair. He was also able to give us a good size-up on the overall condition of our roof.

Joe is highly skilled and an experienced roofer and his team are an amazing group of talented tradesmen. Heather, who works in the office, is such a pleasure to work with and answers all questions with so much patience and professionalism. I can't thank their team enough for their hard work and attention to detail for our roofing job. From quote to completion, this was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor and his team. I highly recommend Joe's Roofing for ANY roofing need. He is a busy man and I can see why. The best professionals are always booked! Joe made room in his schedule for us as our roof had some major leaks and got us in within a few weeks of contract. Our Issue: Our home is a 2 level home and the 1800sf roof was damaged in heavy winds so bad we had 60-80 tabs missing from our 10 year old 3-tab shingle roof. Water was leaking from the top level into several upstairs areas and through the interior walls into the downstairs. This was a major leak in multiple areas of our home. We have a cross gable section on the rear corner of the home where most of the water damage from downstairs was occurring. Joe arrived as scheduled and on time for the estimate and I was thrilled with the price he quoted and the detailed information we spoke about regarding replacing the roof and fixing the cross gable section (tricky to do). I shopped around with 3 quotes and Joe was the most economical quote, but I didn't choose his company on pricing alone. NO ONE should choose on pricing alone! If you do, you'll end up regretting it. Talk about what you're getting and how they will fix your issue. You'll find that Joe is the only one willing to take the time to explain it in layman's terms anyone can understand. We chose Architectural High Definition Shingles to replace our 3-tab Standard Shingles. The quality is amazing and it changed the look of our home dramatically - for the better! Joe knows his stuff through and through and he's an HONEST, hardworking contractor. You can tell when you talk to him that your roof will be done right the first time and boy were they fast when the job began. If we ever have a need for a roofing contractor again (for our barn, side buildings, etc.) we will most definitely be working with Joe. Joe's Roofing is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best roofing contractor in the Hendersonville Area. Highly recommended!

immediateThis roofer promised big things but never showed up. At first he did get down fairly quickly, looked at the problem and quoted me a price. I asked that he send me something in writing which took 2 full weeks. After finally emailing me the quotation Immediately emailed back and requested that he proceed with the work. Then the wait was on and on and on. After waiting 8 weeks and calling him a number of times I've had enough. I would never recommend this provider.

Joe was very nice and prompt in getting to the issue. He came out and looked around the roof and saw that there was a place where some nails had come up on the shingles. He fixed it and caulked it again. He also looked over our roof and let us know the condition it is in (we just bought the house a few months ago). We would definitely call Joe again in the future with any roofing problems.

He explained the stains that were appearing through the paint were from an old leak that had been repaired by the previous owner. Happily, no repairs were necessary at this time, however I was impressed by his honesty and would recommend him. He even refused compensation for his visit!

They arrived on time, removed old shingles, installed new shingles and cleaned up. Very professional and friendly, highly recommend
