Description of Work: "The work was done in 2014 but I feel compelled to share this because I actually used Angie's List to select this company when I was looking to solve my heating/cooling problem. | |We live in a 3 bedroom house with all the bedrooms on one floor plus a FROG which we use as a study. The master bedroom is located at one end of the house, the 2 Guest Bedrooms on the other end and the Family Room in the middle. Our problem was the FROG and Guest Rooms were getting heated or cooled much more than our Master Bedroom, which meant that in order for it to be a comfortable temperature in the Master Bedroom, the FROG and Guest Rooms would be either very hot or very cold. | |Before I agreed to let them do the work, I was assured that they would work with me until I was happy. What more could one ask for? ALL COMFORT put in a new York unit and zoned off the FROG. Before the installation, my husband said that we should have a 5 Ton unit installed because he wanted to be sure that it would be powerful enough to heat and cool the house but they insisted that we could only have a 4 Ton in our house. So we went ahead with their suggestion since they are supposed to be the experts after all. | |$10000 later, after the installation of a new unit and zoning of the FROG, the Guest Rooms are still the warmest and coolest parts of our house and our Master Bedroom NEVER gets warm or cool enough. I informed ALL COMFORT of this and they promptly came every time that I called, and gave me reasons such as there was too much humidity in the Master Bedroom, the house is very long, there are too many windows, the unit is too far away from the room... All these factors have not changed since the time the first survey was done and one would imagine would have been accounted for. Also, in summer our house does not get cooler that 78 F which is quite unbearable. According to the company, that's the best that the unit can do. When we asked how we can make it cooler, they suggested that we install a 5 Ton unit at the price of $11000! I cannot afford to spend $11000 this year after I just spent $10000 last year, so we have to use a window AC in the summer and a space heater in Master and bathroom in winter. I have actually had comments from friends visiting in summer that our house felt very hot, so now I don't have visitors or dinner parties mid summer because it might be too hot. | |I have to say that everyone that I have had contact with in the company has been very polite and friendly so it has been hard to write a negative review but at the end of the day, no matter how nice everyone is, I am still very disappointed with the end product."

Description of Work: Replaced a heat strip in the HVAC system. The HVAC system was under warranty so the heat strip was replaced at no charge. Service was excellent. Communication was mediocre. The day they discovered the problem they stated they would contact me by COB with an estimate and estimated repair date. I heard nothing until I called them several days later. Given the time of year and our mild climate this wasn't a big deal, but had there been a cold snap the delay could have resulted in me having a very uncomfortable and unhappy wife. That would have been problem.

Description of Work: The All Comfort team came out to replace my entire system. After nearly 15 years of exposure to the salt air, the system was shot. Alan and his team are true professionals that care about the quality of their work. The crew was polite and courteous and very respectful of my home. They did a great job and had my system replaced in a day and I was back in the cool. This is great company with great employees that take pride in their work. I would highly recommend them. I'll be a customer for life!

+ -1 moreWe have used All Comfort since we bought our home and we believe that keeping the equipment on a maintenance plan helps extend a systems life. All Comfort has been very good about keeping our systems up and running, always arrive when they say they will and follow-up on a repair when needed. They managed to finally solve a leak problem in one of our systems that had been troubling us since the system was installed (They did not install the system originally). I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: We have a maintenance agreement with All Comfort and they perform inspection and maintenance of our 3 systems just prior to the heating and cooling seasons. They also deal with any repair issues we have with the systems.

+ -1 morethis is such a wonderful company we just bought this house just under a year ago knowing the day was fast approaching that our two dinosaurs needed to be replaced, Allen ( owner ) was very informative, it did not take us very long to decide we wanted him and his team for the job. both units were installed in a very timely manner, very neat inside and outside of our home, answered any and all questions my husband and I would have, everyone on this job was very professional and friendly, i would recommend them to my family and friends without a second thought

+ -1 moreAll Comfort was referred to me by a friend who found them on Angie's list. I called for a service call at my new house. I wanted to make sure the unit was in good working order. Two guys arrived for service call, and I could tell by the look on their face they were not happy with what they saw. Net nut, the unit is 15 years old, and on the verge of rusting thru. We talked about what types of heat pumps were used in my type of home and what they recommended. As they didn't have a job for the next few days, they called to check on availability of the unit they needed for the size of my house and were back in two days. When they came in the house they were those little bootie things to keep my floor clean. I was impressed. They completed replacing the inside and outside unit in less than half a day. The new unit is so quiet, the only thing I hear is the woosh of the air going into the interior air returns!!! The next day the mechanical and electrical inspectors from the county came and gave me their seal of approval. Within the next week I got papers from All Comfort already filled out, indicating where I needed to sign, to apply for the Progress Energy rebate. They even included a stamped envelope for me to mail it. Now, that's classy. I highly recommend All Comfort!!

Description of Work: Amount included semi-annual inspection, replacement of bad capacitor, discovery and replacement of leaking evaporator coil, and refrigerant. Except for semi-annual inspection and capacitor, this amount was all covered by home warranty.

After studying AC companies on Angie's list, we decided to call "All Comfort Heating and Cooling" in Hampstead, NC. We were very lucky that we selected them!!! We called them around noon on May 8th. Allen and trainee John arrived at 1:30 the same day. Since our AC units were 15 years old, we were afraid we would have to buy new units for around $6,000+. We discussed our options with Allen, who is a real professional. He earned our trust and we agreed to repair both units for a reasonable price of $915. Alan is a great guy, and I would trust him.
