They did a great job. There was actually a problem, we had a big rainstorm and some of the flashing had not been installed properly but they guy came out that very day that I called and made the repair quickly and did a great job. I would recommend him to anyone. It was great value.

Company was in my town Friday 2/8 and I scheduled to meet him for estimate to repair a portion of roof as well as give estimate to replace new roof.  One of the workers came to do estimate.  Est. $130-150 to repair (reasonable).  Following week receptionist called 2/13 or 2/14 to see if I had gotten other estimates yet.  I told her I was still getting estimates.  She said ok and she would get me the estimate for re-roofing soon.  It's March 9th and I haven't gotten estimate yet.  The receptionist (Lina) was very friendly and professional, however I would have liked for them to take the initiative and provide the estimate for the entire roof as I requested.  I ended up going with another company.

The work was scheduled to be started at 9:00 AM and the J. Lopez crew arrived on time and got to work right away.  They coordinated very well with the HVAC contractor and were careful not to damage our gutters with the heavy 30 ft ladder required for access to the roof.  The ladder had standoff bars attached to keep it off the gutters which have newly installed gutter guards. This is the best roofing contractor I have ever used and will certainly employ them again when the need arises in our 28 home HOA community.

I called Lopez Roofing on 2/6/13 and spoke with Lina.  My roof had been inspected by an insurance adjuster, who determined that only half the roof was damaged by hail.  I believe the other half of the roof also has hail damage.  The insurance company said I should get a roofer to inspect the roof and provide pictures of the back half to support a damage claim for that section of roof.  I explained all this to Lina, and she said she would send someone out to inspect the roof in the next few days.  I spoke to her several times after that and she said that the weather was bad and they hadn't been able to go out, but would be going "in the next few days".  We spoke at least 3 or 4 times and each time she said she would send someone.  I called today 1/20 and she said that they weren't going to inspect the roof because if the insurance company had already made a determination, it wasn't worth trying to fight it.  WHY DIDN'T SHE TELL ME THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE, instead of making me waste 2 weeks waiting for her to send someone "In a few days"?  If they didn't want to go, that's fine, but don't drag me along for 2 weeks if you have no intention of ever showing up. 
I'm sure another roofing company would be happy to inspect the roof and get the eventual contract for the repair.

So far, we have had only one rain storm since the roof was repaired, but there was no leakage. Overall, I am very pleased with the work performed by Lopez Roofing. I am equally pleased with their honesty and I am certain that they will stand behind their work.

J.Lopez roofing was great!  I called them to set up an estimate and they came out the next day to inspect the roof.  The following day, the office called me to give me the price quote...it was very reasonable.  Based on the price and the other reviews, I decided to give them the business.  They were supposed to come out on a Friday but to my surprise, they showed up a day early b/c they said they would be so busy the next day, they might be late for my appointment...so they came by a day early to see if they could perform the work.  I was more than happy to get the work done as I had a few leaks and the sooner the better. 
These guys were awesome!  I felt they did a great job, didn't rush the work and were very thorough.  The roofer cleaned up all the mess and when he was done, explained everything he did and why the issues probably occurred in the first place.
Being new to the area and not having much experience with roofing work, I would definitely recommend J.Lopez Roofing!  Their prices were fair, they were prompt, courteous and thorough.

I called to see if they could install steel siding/roofing on my horse barn.  They returned my call quickly and told me that unfortunately, they would not be able to do the siding but they did give me a recommendation on someone who they thought could.  Very professional, and I will use them in the future for sure.   

They showed up and fixed the probelm on the same day that I called them.  Can't ask for  better service!

They cleaned up very nice and even used a magnet to make sure they picked up all nails. The roof looks beautiful. He was very polite and professional.

The whole experience with J Lopez was extremely effortless on my part. From the moment I made the call to the finished repairs was flawless. I would highly recommend them.

Because J Lopez Roofing Co. had excellent grades and reviews on Angie's List, I called them (and one other Angie's List roofer) for an estimate on the morning of June 18th. I spoke with Lina (who speaks excellent English) and arranged for them to send someone out the next day to provide me with an estimate. However, that same afternoon, a man arrived in a J. Lopez  truck and introduced himself. I showed him the damaged plaster area in the ceiling of my office. He went up on the roof for about twenty minutes. When he came down , he explained that the shingles in a roof valley were cut in a way that his company does not use because water can get under the shingles and cause a leak. He said he would tear off all the shingles in the valley, install a weather guard and new shingles. He said it was a two hour job. He noted that the roof was pretty new. He estimated it was five years old - missed it by a year - it's four. The conversation was little difficult to understand because he speaks a very broken English - difficult, but not impossible. As it was now about 5:00 PM, he said his office would call the next day with the estimate. That evening I looked up the company on the Better Business Bureau website - an "A" rating with no history of problems. At 9 o'clock the next morning, Lena called with the price for the repair. I asked if they could do any better and what is the length of their labor warranty. She asked me to hold while she checked. They reduced the price by ten percent and the labor warranty was for one year . I told her I had to hear from another roofer, but I would call before their office closed at 4 PM to let her know. I called back about about noon and told her I would like them to do the work. It was scheduled for 2 PM the next day, June 20th. However, she called me at two thirty the same day (June 19th) and asked if their man could come in a hour or so at four. The same man, that came the day before, arrived on the dot at four. He assured me that the replacement shingles were the same as the those on the roof, showed me the weather guard and gave me a signed contract (by J. Lopez). With cleanup (including nails) and loading the truck with the old shingles and debris, the job took exactly two hours. Before leaving, he told me if there was any problem after a rain or at any time, to call the office and they will take care of it promptly.  At this point, I am impressed with the promptness and professionalism of this roofer. Also I believe the price for this repair was fair and competitive. Up to now, the work and was done without a hitch - a good experience. Since I must wait for some hard rain to be sure the leak is successfully repaired, I will update this review at a later time as to quality of the work.

The guy came out, put flashing in, and sealed it. There is no leaking yet. He came out when he said he was going to be here. It was amazing.

They began work the same week we called them and were completely finished in one day.  There were absolutely no problems.

A leak had developed below a dormer this spring evidenced by water stains in a ceiling. After about an hour of heavy rain this weekend I could see that quite a bit of water was coming through. I called J Lopez roofing about 8 Monday morning. Mr. Lopez arrived about 10. He checked the flashing around the dormer and said it was entirely missing below the dormer. This did not totally surprise me as I had to deal with leaks around another dormer caused by shoddy work last year. Mr. Lopez  gave an estimate and was able to do the repair that afternoon for what I feel was a reasonable price. After a half inch of rain Tuesday PM and another 1.3 inches of heavy rain Wednesday afternoon no sign of the leak. Two thumbs up for J. Lopez roofing!

The overall experience was great. Lina who works in their office is a pleasure to work with. I got 3 quotes to replace my roof from three Angies List roofing companies. All three companies were responsive and professional. I went with J Lopez because they had the lowest quote by a small amount, but also could do the job this week. They committed to showing up at 8:30 AM on Monday morning and were there right on time. They finished the entire job in one day and did a good job of cleaning up. They even fixed a loose piece of vinyl siding that we asked them to take care of since they had extension ladders that would reach. They are friendly, professional, and responsive and I would recommend J Lopez Roofing to other Angies List Members.
