This was a bit confusing. I went on the website and filled out the form (HD) to go to Floyd Roberston Plumbing and got a call back that stated that someone would come from either Brown Summit or Burlington to look at my water heater which has a drip at the drainage pipe (a very small drip I might add). She told me that the cost of a new GE 50 gallon wh would be $318.12 (included tax) and an installation/carry away charge of $249. Not a bad price I thought. Then I got a visit from Sowers Plumbing in Eden and he tried to stop the drip and was not successful, and I asked him for a quote on the same GE heater with installation and he gave me a handwritten quote on the back of his card for $725.00! Then he asked me for a check for a trip charge @ $40 made out to Home Depot (no one had mentioned the trip charge but I suppose this is customary with HD and I wrote him a check. Big difference in price (Floyd Robertson Co., the contractor for HD quoted $567.12 installed and the rep that came out quoted around $160 more) What gives?

They did a nice job. I think I probably could have gotten it done a little cheaper somewhere else but at least I know I had a recourse if I needed it and that was what I was looking for. I knew they would stand behind it if I really needed them to but it has been fine. The man who did it was contracted by Home Depot. I really liked him but I really did not deal with Home Depot after they just initially fit it up other than paying the bill and I probably could not get him again if I had to.

They did a good job.

This review is for Home Depot in terms of home delivery and the company's contractors. The people they sent here today completely lacked any sensitivity for the customer, for the product purchased, and for the customer's home. They seemed to look at it as point A to point B, by any means possible. The contractors delivered a freezer, but in the process of negotiating a staircase, they declined the customer's offer to help, and instead dragged the metal edges of the freezer over the recently-refinished hardwood floors. Then when the product was nearly in place, they just dragged it around on the (fortunately) concrete floor like it was a broom or something. I mean, I negotiated moving a sleeper sofa nearly into place without so much as a scratch, but they seemed to treat the thing like some kind of time trial. That might work at McDonald's, but when they're damaging both the product and the customer's home, they're crossing a line. I will never accept delivery of an appliance from Home Depot again.

We went and purchased it at 6 o’clock that night and it was installed the next day. The people at Home Depot and the installation company made sure that everything was just right. They sent the installer to the house first, the next morning to make sure that I had purchased the right one and it was going to fit before he went and picked it up from Home Depot. I said I bought the right thing but they said good he was out, let him make sure and then he could pick it up and get the right thing if it’s not. They came out there exactly at what time they said there were going to come, got it installed and cleaned everything up. They were great. They were timely, they did everything when they said they would and they were great with their customer service. In terms of price, they were above another provider. I would definitely use their services again in the future.

I HAD NO TROUBLE WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY DID EVERYTHING THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO. THEY HAULED AWAY MY OLD CARPET AND MADE SURE THAT THEY DID NOT LEAVE A MESS.

THEY GOT THE JOB DONE VERY FAST. ONE ROOM OF CARPET HAD SEAMS THAT DID NOT HOLD AS WELL AS THEY SHOULD OF. THEY CAME LOOSE SHORTLY AFTER I GOT THE CARPET INSTALLED. THE REST OF THE JOB LOOKS AND IS VERY GOOD.

THE DOOR DID NOT FIT AND THEY HAD TO FILL THE DOORWAY SO THAT IT WOULD FIT IN THE OPENING. THEY DID A EXCELLENT JOB AND GOT THE JOB DONE IN A TIMELY FASHION. I WAS SATISFIED COMPLETELY WITH THE WAY THEY DID THE JOB.

I WOULD SAY THE BEST PART OF MY EXPERIENCE WITH HOME DEPOT WAS THAT THE PRICE WAS EXTREMELY FAIR. THEY WERE PUNCTUAL AND DID A WONDERFUL JOB AT LAYING THE CARPET. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO OTHER PEOPLE.

I WAS HAPPY WITH THE COMPLETED PROJECT. THEY WERE EXCELLENT BECAUSE THEY WERE PROMPT AND COURTEOUS. THEY GOT THE JOB DONE QUICKLY AND THEN CLEANED UP THE MESS WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED.

HOME DEPOT IS DEPENDABLE AND THAT IS WHY I HAVE ALWAYS USED THEM. THEY EARNED MY BUSINESS INSTALLING A REFRIGERATOR SEVERAL YEARS BACK. THE CARPET LOOKS GREAT AND I AM SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE.

I DO NOT HAVE MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THEM. THEY DID A GOOD JOB AS FAR AS I CAN TELL. I WAS NOT HERE WHEN THEY DID IT BUT I LIKED THE WORK AND MY HUSBAND LIKED IT TOO.
