Dorsett's Carpet

This provider is not interested at all in meeting his customer's needs and knows nothing about good customer service. The first bad impression was when he was supposed to come over and show me some samples. We had a time set when he said he'd be over, so I made sure I was home. He never came that evening but came the next evening instead. He didn't have the courtesy of calling me the prior evening to let me know he wasn't able to make it and didn't call to let me know he was coming over the next day. When he showed up I was surprised and said to him, "what happened last night?" His response was "I was really tired." No apology of any sort. That should have been a sign to me to just stop there and not proceed, but stupid me I didn't. He showed me samples, and I picked one out, with him knowing exactly what was important to me (that the carpet not be tight, but loose, like a sample he showed me). He installed the carpet I picked out, but it didn't look like the sample, and I hate it. I told him this, and all he did was argue with me. He told me he'd bring over the manufacturer to discuss it with me; he never did. He came over again without the manufacturer, but with the sample, trying to convince me that what I got was exacly like the sample. Once again, he argued with me. I told him I wasn't going to pay the balance because what I was sold wasn't representative of the sample. His exact words to me were "Now I'm in the hole...I'm just the salesperson." His final "words" to me was slamming my front door behind him.
