Overall, I bought a new couch in July of 2010 and I'm setting here in January of 2011 with a faulty couch. My take is the company is very slow to respond to your needs after they make the sale. Yes I waited until after the holidays to go back to the store but only because the repairman said he couldn't do anything else. I am a little upset that I used this store to begin with, however I have learned from my mistake to never buy there again.
Description of Work: My wife and I bought new furniture from the local Furniture Fair in Goldsboro. The sales service was very good to include all the sales pitches to buy the extra warranty on the furniture. When we got our furniture home, our couch with built in recliners started making a popping noise when we sat down in them. I went back to the store and ask to have them looked at. They informed me they would send out their repairman to look at them. After a couple weeks, the guy called and set up an appointment to come out and repair it. After several hours at the house, he said he had to order parts. 3 months went by before I heard from them again. He came out in November and replaced the parts. At first it seemed to have fixed the problem but after a week it started again. Right after the holidays I contacted Lane the maker of the couch to see if there was anything else they could do since the repairman told me if this didn't work, that was all he could do. A Lane representitive told me that I needed to work with the retailer for the first year. Long story short, the parts didn't fix the couch and I am still trying to get my couch fixed or replaced. The Tech person at Furniture Fair stated since it's been a while, I couldn't get my couch replaced, but they could send it to their store in Jacksonville, NC to have it repaired.
