I have used this plumber for many years and they have never let me down, day or night.  They may charge a bit more, but it is worthwhile in professionalism and rapid response.  They have cleared drains, replaced fixtures, made emergency repairs and more.  The owner often will respond personally and his crew is always prompt and respectful.

Work performed at 6114 Dodsons Crossroads, Hillsborough, NC 27278

In response to ROOTERMAN's response on 8/26/12 - wanted to note: We never got the offer to perform the $975.91 scope of work for the discounted rate of $600.00. We were told we would get a call back from the owner, which we never received.

We called a Landscaper last week to come out and look at the problem. They arrived yesterday (1/22/13) morning with laborer's and shovels (which is what we wanted in the beginning, not a machine). They unstopped the three (3) clogged drains. Used $30.00 of materials and charged total of $190.00.

Response from ROOTERMAN
"We contacted by phone and spoke to the husband the same day the work was performed, he was on site the day we performed the the hydro jetting service. We attempted to clear blockage in three underground downspout drains. We were able to slightly clear one of the drains, but we're unsuccessful with the remaing two drains. We discovered that the drains had been crushed by a piece of heavy construction equipment in the past, apparently during the construction of the home. We did offer to then dig-up and replace the three drains for an additional $975.91. The scope of work would include hand digging the three drain pipes out of the ground and replacing them in their entirety, then backfilling the three areas and finish by attempting to save the existing grass and reusing it following the pipe replacement, or we would sew new grass seed and cover with wheat straw to complete the repairs. The husband said no that he did not want the repairs made for an additional $975.91, because he could pay a Mexican $15.00'per hour to do the work cheaper. We informed the husband that we cannot compete with $15.00 per hour, because of the obvious expenses involved in operating a real business. We did offer to perform the $975.91 scope of work at a discounted rate of $600.00 which when you factor in the original $370.00 spent, we would have effectively discounted a few dollars more than the fees spent during the original visit. We also discussed the advantages of installing a more durable pipe for the downspout drains if they chose to have the work performed, we suggested three types of piping that would do the job for this situation, we offered both corrugated and non corrugated options for these repairs. We did alert them that the solid core pipe would be more expensive but would be more durable. We feel that we have made a fair attempt to resolve the concerns in this review."

I spent around $1500 to $2000. They worked really well. They did a fantastic job though it was a horrible work to do. They were really pleasant and fair and they were at the whole thing. They did stuff, all the way in the front yard and back yard. What they did was really extensive. They had replaced about a third of the total pipe under my house, like the pipe that went from the toilet up to the street and connected to the sewer; they replaced a lot of that because it was a hundred years old and rusted. They were really pleasant and professional. They were really good guys and I thought that their prices were fair for the extensive work that they did. The job actually ended up being a bigger job then what they originally thought and they stuck to the original estimate. They didn’t charge me any more. They were fantastic. In fact the toilet that I got was around a $500 toilet which I was very skeptical of, but they said that this was because my pipe was so old that it would be even more problematic for the toilet and they offered to let me use it for couple of weeks. If I didn’t see any difference, they were going to take it back and refund my money. They were very fair. I would use them again in the future if I have to.

They are professionally competent and come when they say they will be there, they get the job done, then they clean up and they leave. They know what they do. They are always prepared.

They were great guys. They tried to make sure we had some water at all times. They were consciences to help us out. One of the main parts is that they were pleasant and easy to work with. They were so easy to work with.
