This was our third time buying furniture from ROOMS TO GO for this beach house.
The first time was over five years ago and the furniture was very good (made in the USA) and last a long time.  And service was good as well.
The second time was last fall when we bought a living room set from them for this same property.  IT IS JUNK.  I am amazed at how bad it really is.
These are our problems with that furniture:
1.  The coffee table is made of composite particle board with vinyl tape (made to resemble wood) covering it.  The tape on the bottom of the table came off almost immediately.  No success in getting them to repair/replace it.
2.  The sofa sags from the start.
3.  The sleeper component of the sofa hardly works at all.
4.  The cushions are one sided.  That means you cannot turn them.  One side stains, the whole thing has to be tossed.
5.  Club chairs are not sturdy.
you After the last debacle with ROOMS TO GO, we bought furniture from a local store and it was soon much better.  I am afraid that marketing has overtaken concern for customers.  They make junk look nice in the flyers but it really is junk.

The showroom is fine, quality of the furniture seems to be okay, and we had no problems with the delivery. However, I have a MAJOR complaint about one of their corporate policies and the way it is communicated (or not communicated) resulting in deceptive marketing practices. Here's my story: They occasionally run coupon ads offering a free $100 gift card with the purchase of a $100 gift card. My husband and I each purchased a card last year (and got one free) - total of $400 in gift cards. This year, we saw the same ad on Labor Day. We went to Rooms to Go and actually planned to go ahead and purchase the sofa we wanted. At the store, we were told that if we purchased two more cards for the buy one, get one free promotion, we would have to wait until September 21st to use them. I was a bit concerned that maybe there was some "catch" to this great deal, so I questioned both our salesperson and the store manager about whether or not the cards could be used on the delivery charge, whether the cards could be used on the sales tax, and generally if there was anything else I needed to know about using the cards. The response was the same to every question: "The cards can be used exactly like cash." We proceeded to the store office where we told them that both my husband and I wanted to purchase a $100 gift card. The office manager handed the cards to the sales clerk who swiped them and then took our payment. After the transaction was complete, she handed me the cards and I put them into my wallet. I now had a total of $800 worth of gift cards, four that we purchased and four bonus cards. Three weeks later, we went to purchase our sofa where, at the moment of purchase, we were told that only three bonus cards could be used on a transaction. Now, in my mind, that is NOT being able to use the cards "exactly like cash." We put $399 on the store credit card, whereas I believe we should have only had to put $299 and now I have a $100 gift that's basically useless to me. I really feel people should know about this so that they do not fall victim to the same scheme. Since then, customer service representatives at several levels have told me that there is nothing they can do. I feel as though I should be allowed to have my remaining $100 gift card credited to my purchase. I very specifically inquired about policies and I would not have purchased another card if I had known that I could not use them all on my purchase. I also read the ad very carefully and this policy was not written in the advertisement. I purchased the cards specifically in order to buy the sofa. I do not need any additional furniture at this time and honestly, I no longer want to give this company my business. I emailed the CEO and was able to resolve my issue.
