Sparrow made two visits and raised thermostat and flushed tank, but missed the real problem, which was a faulty recirculating water pump at the end of the line. They recommended replacing the water heater ("anytime you get these popping noises [when the burner was on] it means your tank is failing").

Acme was responsive to my initial email and scheduled a service tech appointment within 1 week of my initial contact. The tech called 30 minutes prior to arriving, was prompt, professional, and courteous. He confirmed my initial assessment of the faulty PRV, and went to work on replacing it. He was done within 45 minutes and, best of all, cleaned up the work site and left everything as he originally found it. I will definitely use ACME for any future plumbing needs!

The work was well done, but very expensive ($320 to replace outside hose bibb, $295 for toilet tank rebuild.) I did feel like there was some pressure to sell "extras." I do like to support this living wage employer, so may hire again.

Awesome! Initially i called after hours and I was lucky enough to have Eddie from ACME contact me and walk me through turning the shut off valve to immediately stop the leak. I then called ACME the next morning and made an appointment for that same day, requesting Eddie. He found that I needed a part replaced, but then noticed the old toilet tank was actually cracked. I ordered a new toilet and requested him to come install it on 08/09...He and his assistant, Tyler, did an excellent job!

An estimate was not given to me prior to the work being done, and the total price was much higher than what I expected, but I needed the job done and the 2 drains have not been dripping ever since...WooHOO!

I was in the middle of remodeling my powder room bathroom, and realized that the PEX shut off valves need to be replaced due to their incompatibility with my new 3/8" faucet water lines. Having never worked with PEX plumbing lines, nor owning the correct tools for this job, I decided to call a professional plumber. I decided to use Acme as I prefer to support local business rather then larger chains if possible. They were very courteous, and they were able to come out the same day (this was not a necessity, as we still had two other bathrooms available). They even called 30 minutes prior to the appointment to verify someone was home...great. The bathroom had already been cleared of the vanity/sink, drain, etc., so the access to the valves was completely open. The plumber arrived on time, was polite, and promptly changed out the two valves within 30 minutes or so. Having some understanding of what the new style plastic PEX plumbing lines instillation requires, I figured the job would be quick, and I was correct. The issue I had was the cost for the job was $267. We're talking about the replacement of two valves valued at $20 and 30-40 minutes of time! Let me be clear, the plumber did disclose the price prior to starting the job, and we did agreed to it. Sure, we could have declined this quote, but we would have needed to schedule additional time off from work, pay the $39 fee for the first plumber to show up, and still find another plumber. In contacted Acme to let them know their worker was prompt and did a fine job, but also that I felt their pricing was a bit excessive. Got a nice replay in which they defended their pricing by letting me know "We have never claimed to be the cheapest plumber in town". Enough said!

A nice man came soon after my request for service, worked about 90 minutes, and did an excellent job. We have been quite satisfied with the results.

It went well. The tech installed the toilets in less than two hours and left the area clean and tidy. The toilets are working well, with no leaks. The tech was professional and courteous. He added caulking to the edge of the toilet and it was done very neatly. Also, scheduling was easy and services were performed two days after scheduling. I will definitely use this company again.

Acme Plumbing responded promptly and scheduled during one of my preferred times. The service person called prior to arriving as promised and arrived within 15 minutes of the call. He went over costs of items prior to beginning work to get approval to proceed. Great service! Will definitely use again.

There was something leaking and we really couldn’t tell where the leak was coming from, so that’s when I called them. They came out and they found it, and they fixed it. It took him maybe 20 minutes and I haven’t had any problems since. I don’t think I had a problem with the pricing. I kept using them, because of the fact that I have used them before and I was happy with their service, so I continued to use them.

I feel I have never spent over $300 for any work. I've got them on speed dial. It was one by himself, I remember that.  He was very nice, very professional and did a very thorough job, very good job. That one took a little bit longer, I think it took about, if I remember right, it took not quite an hour, but just about.

They used to be Ben Franklin. I use them at least once a year, something screws up. They?ve always been very good. I don?t know about the prices, I don?t know if anybody else is higher or lower. He was out here right before Christmas. He was a life saver, it was right before it started snowing. I usually have to have them come out, something usually goes wrong. It?s always something different, it?s not the same thing. They have been the only plumbers I?ve had to come out here for the past 5 years. They?ve been good. They get out here on time, they get the work done.

My gosh, he had it fixed in like 15 minutes. I was in shock! He had it fixed and repaired and gave me an entire list, and he didn?t try to sell me anything or stuff like that, within 15 minutes. I was so happy! It was $39 just to come to the house, but at that point I would have paid anything. I am a member, there is a thing I brought from them that gives me a discount each time they come out. I said, ?I need that because I am having you guys come out and fix something different at least every 6 months!? It?s an older house. Every time they?ve come, they?ve done an excellent job. I?ve not had any problems. They?re very punctual, they?re very professional, they?re on time. With this older house, I?m about to put them on speed dial.
When I called them, she got them there the very next day. They called to let me know they were on the way. I was really happy about that.

Responsive, efficient, courteous.

They fixed the sewer line and I don't think I will have any more problems. They always discuss the work and price before hand, and afterwords go over the work they have done. Alway very courteous.

Emily was very professional over the phone and Michael, the plumber was professional, courteous and fast.
