Today the stove is in place and working great. We are regular customers and I appreciate the service I received.
Bottom line, DON'T BY YORK HVAC PRODUCTS AND DON'T USE CANELLA!
"I’m very sorry you feel this way. The unusual conditions you were seeking, both a very low temperature and a very low relative humidity level, came as a surprise when you emailed me a couple months after the installation. While the equipment had no problem achieving the low temperature requirement OR the low relative humidity level desired, physics dictates that relative humidity will rise as the temperature drops. That meant that the equipment by itself couldn’t do both without external help so a dehumidifier was included as part of the installation. Any device that removes humidity is going to put off heat, which the dehumidifier did particularly when milder temperatures meant that there was no need for the air conditioner to run. So we disconnected the dehumidifier from the main floor per your request which drove up the relative humidity level. Our search for a solution went on for months, even as we completed the other work you hired us to do on your house. No matter what we tried, the law of physics created a vicious circle that we couldn’t overcome to meet the extraordinary conditions you were looking for on a year-round basis under all outdoor weather conditions. Once York learned that the County Inspector you called to review our installation confirmed that it was correct, the State Inspector you filed a report with tested the house and equipment operation and confirmed that it was installed correctly and operating properly, and the distributor’s technical representative who was out to your house on more than one occasion confirmed that the system was installed correctly and that all of the equipment was operating as designed, they felt that there was nothing more they could do since everything was working fine. I’m sorry if it felt like a brush-off when they wouldn’t elevate the complaint but from their perspective it had been handled correctly by us and by the distributor. We worked very hard to find a solution. I honestly feel that Canella Heating and Air Conditioning came as close as anyone could have come to achieving what you were looking for. I’m sorry that ultimately none of the solutions could meet those conditions 100% of the time."
The technician came on time and did the work. Very neat job.
System works much better now.
"Our sincerest apologies for our terrible service on that occasion. We have since replaced our dispatcher and refined our procedures to make sure no one's call goes unanswered in the most timely manner. We also thank you for giving us the opportunity to redeem ourselves by joining our maintenance agreement program. Please be assured we learned from our mistake and are very sorry that it was at your expense."
