Overall, I loved working with this company especially the owner, Mike Andrews. After initial quotes for super high-end equipment that I requested ended up being more than I could responsibly afford, Mike worked with me to get to a price point that I needed to be at. I still got good equipment that I'm satisfied with. He had a price and warranty that was in line with other estimates that I got from other companies but offered great financing and better equipment. Here's what sold me on CMA, I needed the new AC system installed before my wedding that was to take place at my home. Mike said that he couldn't do it (my old AC was acting up only a week before the event) but he said that he would come and FIX my old one free of charge so that it would make it through the wedding date! He did it! It worked well enough for all my guests to remain comfortable. No other company offered me that. As for the install, it was a big job but they got it all done in a day. Nothing banged or broken. Just good guys that are friendly. The AC runs great! I can't comment on the furnace since its the middle of the summer. But they will come back in the fall to make sure everything is going well. If I had one very small negative, sometimes it's difficult to get a hold of someone at the office. I called a few times during regular business hours and didn't get anyone to answer. I didn't leave a message so I can't really say they are unresponsive. I'm sure they would have called if I did leave a message. So yes, absolutely do business with this company. High marks for expertise and professionalism and value. Thanks CMA! ~Geoff Heacock

My old unit was loosing freon. CMA measured the leaks at reasonable price and provided me with alternative solutions. When I decided they proposed financing. I am happy with the way they performed. The kept the house particularly clean during the repair.

Mike and Mike's team did an excellent job. Very professional, Did nice work, very clean. Stayed on job of installation till was completed. Exceeded expectations. Very trustworthy.

The owner, Mike Andrews, is one of the most pleasant people anyone could meet. He came to our home, took some measurements, looked at the old equipment, listened to exactly what we expected the new system to do and then made two suggestions for replacement. while we discussed the purchase, he patiently waited for our decision as to which one we wanted. He had already given us an estimate of what it would cost. once we had made our decision and had the money to do this, he let his professional installers come over and proceed with the work. Even though this part took 2 1/2 days to complete, they worked very hard to insure that the work was done to our satisfaction. Mike then came back over after it was done to make sure everything was done to his very high standards. There were a couple of things he offered to redo because he didn't like it but I refused the offer as the work was beyond acceptable. I may need to paint a scratch on a piece of drain pipe that was installed but the scratch is not noticeable from an arms length away. Called again because the thermostat was reading differently than the old one and the house seemed cooler than expected. They came back out and rechecked everything which turned out to be perfect and explained the differences between the new and old unit. This guy and his employees are absolutely incredible and polite. I'd give him more than 5 thumbs up but I only have two hands! I would recommend Mike and his employees to everyone here near Charlotte, NC to anyone who needs this kind of service! Mike the owner, evaluated our old heat pump which was going to be too expensive to repair because the system was so old. He personalized a heating/air unit for us and explained step by step then entire process. He and his technicians were well informed and educated in the unit they installed for us. I have never had someone to be so courteous and interested in making us happy and satisfied with the equipment and their workmanship.

Installed a new A/C unit and thermostat.

The owner, Mike, gave me all my options and was very fair with his advice. They came out and had the job done in two days. They were every friendly and cleaned up perfectly. They even did things in the attic beyond the call of duty.

We received several estimates, and chose CMA based on the positive reviews on Angie's List as well as competitive pricing. Mike was extremely polite and responsive. We liked him because he did not try to "upsell" us on features that really did not make sense given that our home is older and not energy efficient. The furnace installation went very smoothly. He and his team were punctual, polite, and considerate of our family needs. We felt comfortable leaving them alone in the home for periods of time as it took more than a day to complete the work. The basement was left cleaner than it started! Mike was also considerate about requesting feedback about placement of venting, etc. and making sure that it did not impact landscaping. This review is long overdue, but that allows me to say with confidence that the furnace has worked well with no problems whatsoever over last winter, last summer, and this winter. When our upstair unit reaches the point of no return, we will certainly call CMA for replacement. I would recommend them without hesitation.

When I first called they were saying the offer was different that what was on Angie's List. They finally confirmed it after some discussions. They had to call and reschedule due to 'how far out' I live even though they had in their profile that they served Union County. They guy that came out was great and said he would provide me some follow up information but I have never heard back from them.

I can not express enough that we had experienced excellent serviced by the entire team. They were very prompt and efficient and took PRIDE in the workmanship that was done even though a lot of the work was "behind the scenes". There was a lot care and planning that went into the project by the owner Michael Andrews to ensure the best heating and cooling results. Michael also provided various options to the equipment selection and bidding process.so that I can see the pros and cons of the various units and feel comfortable with the final cost. I though the crew was very sensitive to our needs by ensuring we were least inconvenienced throughout the job. They also looked at the minor details by ensuring crawl space and attic stairs were sufficiently insulated as well as ensuring all existing heat returns were sealed properly to ensure there was not conditioned air that could escape. We also had to have new heat and cold air returns installed and when completed, it looked like they were always intended to be there. Because the job took multiple days to complete, the crew ensured at the end of each work day there was not clutter and everything was cleaned and vacuumed. I though that the value was more than justified.. I do believe that the crew went above and beyond the call of duty on my job; This was a "top notch" job and I would recommend CMA Mechanical to anyone.

I contacted CMA Mechanical Heating & Air LLC to have my Air Conditioner System serviced and both coils cleaned. Michael Lee checked the system and said the coils appeared to be clean and did not require chemical cleaning. He checked the Freon level and restored it to the proper specification by adding 2 pounds of refrigerant. I thanked him for being honest regarding the coil cleaning. As he left he presented me with the invoice with the agreed price minus the Senior Citizen and the Angie?s List Member Discounts. After 24 hours the Air Conditioner failed. Michael Lee returned to find the Freon was depleted and the fill valve was leaking, presuming the valve had cracked during the unavoidable stress of removing the overly tight valve cap. He ordered a replacement valve and came back to replace the valve assembly. Replacing this valve was a complex operation and Michael did an outstanding job. He again brought the refrigerant back into specification and did a final check of the system. As he left he presented me an invoice describing the valve replacement and system restoration. The cost was zero. Regarding the damaged valve, things like this do happen, it is how one responds to the situation that counts. It had been a pleasure to deal with an honest company that backs up their work. I will use this company in the future and recommend them to anyone requiring HVAC service.

Mike and his professional crew diagnosed a tough issue with our HVAC system that the last company couldn't diagnose. Mike the owner actually came by on his own later to follow up on his own time and would not rest until the problem was fixed. Mike and his employees are highly educated in HVAC and very honest. They didn't just "throw" parts at it, they throughly had a structured thought process to diagnose the issue and followed up multiple times to assure the problem was fixed. I learned his business is built on integrity and quality and he proved that. I recommended him to our neighbor already and plan on using him for any HVAC need or system in the future. They provide many options which is great. A++++!

What a great crew - they were here for 7 full days - even worked on 4th of July to make sure we got air conditioning as soon as possible. They were nice enough to loan us window air units to keep bedroom and kitchen cool. It was a very large project - custom designed for our home. It works GREAT! the only downside is that we could have used a bit more information on the second, mini-split system that was installed in the basement and the thermostat is state of the art and a bit more technology than we are used to. All said, the thermostat has been fun to play with and learn - we can now even control our HVAC from the iPhone! We will definitely have them come out for our yearly maintenance, especially since we installed a clean air system that needs to be professionally checked.

Here's a couple of examples of my experience when Mike didn't come out: 1) the technician asked to use our bathroom which was fine. When he finished, he told my wife that "your husband would be proud since I left the toilet lid up". Very unprofessional. 2) another technician came out, diagnosed the furnace issue that we were having, and installed a part costing several hundred dollars. Turns out that the propane was low in the tank and I had to call them out again to remove the part. Thankfully, I did get a refund. The guy didn't know how to diagnose the problem. 3) another technician came out to fix the upstairs AC since it was leaking water. He made a temporary fix - which was good - since he said the pan was rusted and needed to be replaced. He was going to call the next day with a price. I never heard back. Terrible follow up. 4) once I wrote them a check for work that CMA had done. About 1 month later, I get a call from CMA apologizing that they had misplaced the check and wanted to confirm that it was ok to still cash it. I'm glad they called first, but was disappointed that the check was lost in the first place. Very unorganized. In summary, Mike is great when he comes on site. But I've had a number of issues when he has other technicians do the work. I would really like to see Mike run a tighter "ship".

Wonderful, efficient and professional. I found the company through Angie's list and they came with great ratings. Their email had USMC related name and my husband is a USMC veteran, so that's always a plus! They were quick to schedule an appointment. On the day of the appointment, they called before arrival, so we would be ready. They were very punctual and professional. The tech immediately realized what the issue was and serviced it perfectly and rather inexpensively too! He also took the time to make sure that was the only issue! Would definitely use them again (I just hope we don't have to!)!

Mike was great. He and his crew were friendly, on time, and did excellent work. When something wasn't right, he fixed it. I even paid less than the contracted price.

First the owner, Mike Andrews, came to our home at our request to provide a cost estimate. From the get-go Mike's concern was our needs and wants. He asked detailed questions and inspected our current system both inside and out as well as crawled underneath the house to view the ducting. I explained to him I have Multiple Sclerosis that has caused me to have an intolerance to heat and humidity, in fact my vision goes blurry when I get too heated, so I wanted the dehumidifier included. After he prepared his estimates, Mike came back to our house and presented them, giving us a choice of 5 different systems! (The 2 other companies I contacted only gave us 3) He explained all the features of each system including rebates available and energy saving percentages. We knew from the first meeting with Mike that we were going to go with his company because of his attention to details and knowledge, it was just a matter of which system we could afford. Because of an instant rebate and a discount for paying cash in full we were able to get the best system! His estimates were not the least expensive, but they included work the other companies wouldn't do, as I say "we got the most bang for our buck"! His workers arrived as scheduled to begin tearing out our old system and installing the new. They were unable to complete the installation as scheduled because the weather was uncooperative! Due to several days of torrential downpours, the ground became so saturated that it couldn't absorb any more and flooded our crawl space. Mike provided us with window air conditioning units so we could keep cool in the interim. We all were in agreement to delay the completion until the crawl space was relatively dry. Mike was the consummate professional throughout the delay and final installation. He was always concerned about our comfort and how we felt about the delay. We wanted the job to get done right without the possibility of mildew in the ductwork and knew patience was the key. Besides, none of us could control the weather from a tropical storm system! Once the day arrived to complete the install, Mike was there making sure every detail was completed, working late into the night with our permission. He returned the next business day to do a thorough inspection with my husband accompanying him. He also explained the whole system and how to program the thermostat. I am amazed with the new system we chose. It is a complete climate control, whisper-quiet operating system. Now i can feel like I am in the arctic when it is 90 degrees with 100% humidity outside! I can work about my home without over-heating! It is truly an amazing system and I can't thank Mike enough for listening to our needs and delivering us such a great solution!

Set up service call for Sunday, at noon. They called to say delayed until 1:30-2. At 2, called to say delayed 2 hours. I had to call them at 4:45 to find out that they would be 6-6:30 arrival. Arrived at 6:45. Apologized, and gave me a discount off of the regular service. Ran tests, etc. Suggested that likely it would need a new condenser or compressor, and they would need to bring out one more piece of equipment. Never called back. I went with another service company.

The service call and repair service went great. He used a generic motor which saved a lot of money, He even offered to come out on Mothers Day ro install the new motor so we could have air in the upsatirs bedrooms. We declined the offer as we had a cold spell and did not need it. Besides he needed to be with family. We have used him in the past with the same outstanding results. Cannot go wrong here!

WOW...what more can I say. I called CMA and as promised Mike arrived at the scheduled time to look at my furnace. The previous day another contractor that I have had service my unit for the past 11 years told me the heat exchanger in the furnace had three cracks in it and that it would cost me $1200 to replace. So, upon arrival Mike went into the attic and removed several pieces of the furnace and could not find/see any cracks in the exchanger. However, to be certain Mike called another member of the CMA team and had him show up a couple hours later to take a look and do a very detailed carbon monoxide check while the furnace was running full out. After about 15 minutes it was determined there was not carbon monoxide being detected and that a crack could not be found. So, in review... 1) Mike with CMA saved me $1200 for a heat exchanger that I did not need 2) I cancelled my service agreement with the 'other' firm and will utilize CMA moving forward! The level of competence and trust that Mike and CMA demonstrated was outstanding!

Mike from CMA came out to the house and did a detailed estimate and explained the whole process. After talking to some other contractors we saw the professionalism and knowledge that Mike had. He had no trouble answering questions and the price for the work was in line with market rates but the work was well above industry standards. The people who came out to do the work were very professional and able to answer questions and explained what they were doing from beginning to end. Being without heat for a couple weeks was ok because we had an infared heater but Mike offered to bring over a heater if we needed it. At the end of the work Mike walked me around to inspect the work but everything was done right the first time and I had no complaints. Anytime you have a major renovation done it can be a headache and really disrupt your schedule but CMA made the process flow very smoothly and I felt more than comfortable leaving them at the house while I was working or taking care of other obligations. I will be using CMA in the future and will be referring anyone I know who can benefit from the great service that we received.

Mike and company did an excellent job of installation. They were atuned to your needs and space while doing their work. Very professional. Mike would meet every question or need that you had in a pleasant and quick timing way. You could not go wrong having them do your work. Very pleasant experience.

We immediately called CMA to explain our problem. The person who answered promised to get back to us ASAP with an arrival time for Mike Andrews. Within 15 minutes we received a call that Mike would be here within an hour. Sure enough, Mike arrived and went to work. After almost 2 hours of working in frigid cold, Mike explained that he needed another part but would come back that evening to complete the repair if he could find the part. He also asked if he could provide some heaters from his shop to get us through the cold night. We were the first call the next day. Shivering through the early wintry mix , Mike fixed the circuit board, multi-speed fan and transformer. Mike explained every repair option before beginning the job. The price we paid was quite fair. We will use Mike Andrews / CMA whenever we need repairs or upgrades. He was a very friendly, upfront, honest and fair man.
