Woodie’s Auto Service offers complete automobile maintenance and repairs for domestic and import cars and trucks. We have eight convenient locations and are locally family owned and operated servicing the Charlotte area for over 50 years. We provide a complete 28 point inspection for your vehicle and will help advise you the best way to maintain your vehicle after all it is the second largest investment you make. You will receive an honest and fair estimate for all repairs before they are made and we cover all repairs with a 24 month or 24,000 mile National Warranty. We have a hassle free shuttle service for morning drop off and afternoon pickup or whenever you need us. If you prefer to wait we have spacious and comfortable waiting area in each location. In addition web based appointment scheduling and maintenance records are available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week as well as an email or postcard reminder service. Woodie’s Auto Service is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating, a member of the Automobile Service Association (ASA) and a supporter of ASE. ASE tests and certifies automotive professionals in all major technical areas of repair and service. With nearly 400,000 currently certified professionals, the ASE program is national in scope and has industry-wide acceptance and recognition. ASE-certified professionals can be found at every type of repair facility, from dealerships, service stations, and franchises to parts stores, independent garages, and even municipal fleets. All of our technicians and service personnel are ASE Certified.

The work was completed on time; however elements of their pricing are shady: When I called first I was told that the fee to diagnose the problem would be $100 and that if I went ahead with the repair that I would get full credit for such fee. When I picked up the car no credit was given at first. When I reminded them about the phone conversation they claimed that they will only credit 50%. I was very surprised to find out later at home that the diagnostic fee was actually $150 and the credit was not 50% but $50. So I ended up paying $100 net for the diagnosis that took 30 minutes and that should have been free given their statements over the phone. The whole shop was pretty idle when I dropped off and picked up my car. They probably don't have many repeat customers. Wonder why?

It is convenient to go there. They are very friendly and they do an excellent job. I have confidence in them that I would get my car back. What they do not do well on is with their price. It is expensive and higher than other companies that offer the same services.

Woodie's went above and beyond- came to the house to jump a dead battery, then made sure my husband was able to drive the car to their shop to have work done. When one of the windshield wipers didn't work a few weeks later, they replaced it and were very professional about everything. Woodie's is always a pleasure to work with.

They were very nice, but I think they could have been more thorough. I asked them to do a full assessment and let me know what needed to be fixed. They told me that needed this to be done and I said I asked you to do a full assessment. Overall they are a great place, but I think they didn't really listen to what I asked them to do. I'm not going back there. They had the car for a full day. They do pick you up and drop you off. There's a lot of wonderful things about it, but I thought I was done getting my car fixed and then I found out that I wasn't.

I have gone to Woodies at least 4 or 5 times over the course of the last year, most recently for a 90,000 mile tune up.  Usually though, I show up about 5 minutes before closing with some type of emergency!  One time my hood wouldn't latch - another my window got stuck down when it was about to pour, etc.  They are so nice and always find a way to work me in and take care of things right away.  Not only that, but they will drop you off and pick you up so you can continue with your day.  I have been amazed to finally find a well run business with true GOOD OLD FASHIONED SERVICE.  Their prices are fair and they are always very polite and provide an estimate and a detailed explanation of what they think needs to be done.  If you want to wait they also have a nice bright clean seating area with a large TV to wait in (not a grungy garage).  Overall, this place is really a breath of fresh air  in a world where customer service doesn't seem to mean as much as it used to.  I would HIGHLY recommend Woodie's to anyone who needs car repair or tires.
