Description of Work: I called them since I saw their truck go by my house so I knew they were in the area. Mark came by within a hour to quote the job. He recommended that some of the work wait until the fall and for the rest he recommend the most cost effective way to address the issues. Honest man! Will hire when I am ready.

+ -1 moreThe tree had to be cut and carried out (no truck or equipment could get in our backyard) because of accessibility, but that did not deter Mark or his crew. The work was completed the same day!! Our yard was immaculate when the job was completed and Mark came back to make sure we were happy with how the work was handled. Mark is honest, fair and knows what he is doing. His crew is also excellent. Call Timber Hill if you want the best service done in a timely manner and fair price
Description of Work: Mark Shuey and Timber Hill Tree Service saved the day! Mark had already visited my house and presented me with a proposal for tree trimming work and were to be back here within a 2 week period. THEN the accident; one of our beech trees (75 yr old tree) fell in our backyard. I called Mark and even though he was out of town he had someone at my house within the hour to appraise the situation and make sure there was not a driveway blocked or the tree was on our house. Mark was here the next morning and the day after work began, along with the original plan to trim some of our trees.

Description of Work: MARK SHUEY AND HIS TEAM ARE FANTASTIC AT WHAT THEY DO. HE QUOTED ON MY PROJECT A YEAR BEFORE WE ACTUALLY GOT AROUND TO IT AND KEPT HIS PRICES THE SAME. I HAD THEM CUT DOWN 36 TREES (8 OF WHICH WERE OVER 100 FEET TALL), GRIND THE STUMPS AND CHIP SOME OF THE WOOD TO HELP CREATE A NATURAL AREA. THEY DID ALL THE WORK WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, AT THE QUOTED PRICE AND CLEANED EVERYTHING UP!

Description of Work: Mark Shuey has performed several jobs at my house and now has worked for 3 other neighbors. I called Mark today with what can only be described as a silly question about our largest tree in our front yard (it makes the house!). Anyway, the leaves on this tree all wilted and are dying. I was worried about it and called Mark. He called back within 5 minutes and said what I am seeing is due to frost and the tree is recovering. This is why I like Mark and will use only him for all tree related work.

+ -1 moreAs with all my jobs with Mark, I just told him what I wanted done and I came home and it was done! I want to emphasize that Mark does a COMPLETE job. He doesn't just cut everything and then offer to clean up for additional money (as I have found out other tree guys do)! The price he gives you includes cleaning everything up and hauling everything away.
Description of Work: Mark did a lot of general work on my trees, pruning, raising the canopy, etc. I would like to add a little story to this report. This is the third time I have used Mark's services. The first time I had a tree that needed to removed. I received three estimates. The first was from a major tree company and was very expensive. The second was from a small independent guy and was also very high. And then Mark gave me an excellent price. I was so wary I made him prove he had insurance before I would give him the job. In the meantime, the second smaller guy called me back and offered me a ''one time deal'' because he had a last minute cancellation and he needed to keep his guys working. He then gave me a price close to Mark's. That confirmed to me that Mark had given me a good, fair price right off the bat and didn't play these games with my business!

+ -1 moreThe project went great and was done in time before landscapers arrived to create our new backyard. His workers took extra debris away I had created and as always cleaned up nicely. Mark and his guys also do work for two people on our street and his prices are so good compared to the larger tree companies.
Description of Work: Mark has performed four or five projects for me over a period of several years. The last project was to clear tree and debris to create a backyard. He came as always to give his advice on what trees to remove and which ones needed to stay.
