Spaulding Tree Service

Description of Work: I marked the trees I wanted taken down/cut up, asked that they be cut in burnable lengths and left where they took them down. They are not in burnable lengths and they took down the wrong Cedar tree.

Description of Work: Went great.trimmed Bradford Pears,fast,neat professional,also gave estimate for removal of 2 trees & trimming 2 large Pin Oaks.Resonable for worrk that needs to b done.Will definetly use again.

Description of Work: I purchased the "Big Deal of the Day" for tree services to be performed. I called Spaulding and set up an appt and was told I needed an estimate. Brock came and gave an estimate on the back of a card - hand written in excess of $1000. I had Heartwood (which is a very well known company) provide an estimate and they came in $400 less than Spaulding. I requested a refund from Spaulding and never heard back. In my opinion, Spaulding offers a "Big Deal" but prices that discount back into the estimate. There's zero savings and it's merely a business generation ploy that at least covers the estimate time investment on their behalf. That's my experience. Would love to have my money refunded. As a new customer to Angie's List, the whole process has scared me away from this service and especially the "Big Deal."

Description of Work: Safely removed a 30ft. dying tree between our home and a neighbors home before it fell on her car.

Description of Work: They removed 5 large trees from my backyard and had to carry them out to the street to dispose them because the equipment wouldn't fit into the backyard. They cleaned up very nicely.

Description of Work: Spaulding topped a row of trees, trimmed a neighbor's limb that was touching my house and cut down a few trees that were shading out some of my redbuds. They were responsive, did a great job and cleaned up so well that you couldn't even tell that they had done anything.

Description of Work: I bought this as a gift for my son. Comumunications with this company have been ineffective. They need to contact him and get the work done - no excuses. I provided the company with his contact information. Someone speaking for the company intimated that tree work was not their primary business. I don't care what their excuse is at this point, they need to reach out to my son and do the job at his convenience. Their prices are high compared to other tree services I have used. I would not recommend them and I would appreciate your help in mediating this matter. I have communicated with you previously and did not get a response.

Description of Work: While Brock made a good effort to get here and provide an estimate. The estimate he provided was for thousands of dollars of work, and he didn't really offer anything less than that. So, $250 off of $500 didn't really scratch the surface. I am sure he and his crew do great work, we just can't afford it at the moment. Thanks!

Description of Work: Estimate was too much for our budget. There was nothing they could do for the amount we paid. ($199) All their jobs were much more money. Showed up on time, very nice, knowledgeable about the job.

Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's List deal for $400 worth of tree services for $199 with Spaulding Tree Service. They was advertised as a Angie's List award winner so I purchased the service knowing I needed work done. After some initial problems with scheduling, they met me at my rental property. I was trying to explain the work I wanted an estimate for and he kept asking about the deal I bought ... was it Angie's list or Amazon. How much was it for, etc? He seemed more concerned about the Coupon than the job. He did very little inspection of what I was asking and then gave me a very high verbal estimate. I questioned why it was so high and he got defensive and then offensive. I have the strong impression that he raised his price to offset the coupon. I asked him to send me an estimate and that I was going to shop around because I thought that was too high. It's been almost two weeks now and I never heard back from him.

Description of Work: Scheduled work for Fri between 9-12. Called at 12 and service said they had me down for the next day. I said ok and the next day appt was for 9-12, 1130 my phone rang & I couldn't get it fast enough. I immediately called the number back at least 5 times over an hr and got voice mail. Later in the day, they called and said they didn't come because I didn't answer the phone. Explained I immediately called back & got no answer & she states she didn't get any calls. Ask if they can reschedule it again and I said no, I think 2 misses is enough. Later that afternoon, a gentleman called and states he is sorry and he will give me a great deal if I will reschedule. I declined.

Description of Work: It took quite a while (more than one call) to get the appointment scheduled in the first place. Then they set the appointment for a range of time (ie 12:00-3:00 on Jun 24). They never showed up, and never called to reschedule.

Description of Work: This was for tree work just cutting down trees on acreage that I own. I had used another tree company on Angie's list and paid about the same amount of money for the coupon. The other tree company told me I would have a crew for 2 hours so I told them to start cutting and when the 2 hours ran out-_Quit. Spaulding Tree said they did not operate that way, sending out a salesman (who was very nice) to estimate the job. He said they look at the job not the hours to complete the work. Therefore, his quote was way out of line with what the other tree company charged last year. We both agreed that his company was not competitive with the other company, his company being much higher. He would never quote me on charges by the hour, just completed work. He advised me (in a nice way) to request a refund from Angie's List.

Description of Work: Reason, they are expensive and stated the big deal was only to be used against large projects as the deal itself would only cover expenses to get the trucks/workers to the site..... Also, I do not believe they are cert Arborist as they did not even know the species of the trees I wanted trimmed.
