Prestige Chem-Dry

I'm not sure how I found this company (probably through Angie's List), but I'm so glad I did. This is a very professional family business. I've used other carpet cleaning companies, but Prestige Chem-Dry is far and above all the others. Carolyn is a pleasure to talk with and always accommodating when scheduling appointments. It's usually one of the sons who comes to clean my carpets and they are always prompt, courteous, and explain what they are going to do. During the visit, Rick cleaned the tile in my kitchen and laundry room and lightened the color of the dark grout. He tested several colors to make sure I was satisfied with the results. The tile looks brand new! My house cleaner was so impressed, she recommended Prestige to several of her other clients.
The pet accident stains came back in one area they cleaned. When I called to ask about redoing this area, Carolyn immediately took action and got one of her sons to come back as soon as it was convenient for me. He was very helpful in explaining why the stains came back (soapy residue from my attempts to clean up the accidents), and while he would do his best to get out as much of that residue as possible, it is probably the stains may reappear. I appreciate the tips he gave some tips to treat the stains myself.

The rug looks new, and feels soft and plush again.  The colors are beautiful, and it didn't shrink a bit.

The service Prestige provided was exceptional. They explained everything they were going to be doing and wasted no time in getting to work. We also had an oriental rug cleaned by them. Outstanding job. They took it when we got our rugs and furniture cleaned and delivered it after they cleaned it. I would use them again for sure.

We had used them for several years then the last time we used them we were very unhappy. They used too much water and it took over a week to dry out. We have not used them again.

I had the carpets professionally cleaned in my entire upstairs.  After $200 the company left and said they could not get out any of the stains i showed them.  I called prestige chem-dry and they came out within the week. Instead of charging me to clean all the carpets again,  he just worked on the stains.  HE GOT EVERYTHING OUT.  2 yr old coffee, 1 yr old orange juice and children's brown vomit all on a white carpet!!!  They are the best! worth every dime!

Very, very thorough, extremely friendly and organized. The were able to come in short notice as well. Great find!

The technician was extremely friendly.  He took his time cleaning every room.  The carpet looked very pretty when the job was complete.    I am very happy with the way ChemDry cleaned the carpet in my home.

Everything went very well.  I was able to get an appointment very promptly (in fact, within two days of calling).  Carolyn, the woman who took my call, was very friendly and helpful and answered all my questions about the cleaning procedure. 

The appointments are set up within a two-hour window of time, since it's impossible to know exactly when the previous job will be finished and when the service person will arrive at the next house.  I like this, since it doesn't put pressure on the servicepeople to rush through a job to get to the next one at an exact time.  On the day of the appointment, my husband and I got a courtesy call letting us know more precisely when the service person was on his way. 

Justin, the person who cleaned our carpets, was very friendly, helpful, and professional.  He first walked around with us and looked at all the areas that were to be cleaned, and we pointed out a few areas that needed extra attention (basically, areas where a naughty kitty has sprayed in the past).  I had diligently kept up with cleaning the kitty "oops" spots over the years, so we didn't have any serious stains, just a somewhat leftover "kitty was here" odor that could be picked up if you put your nose really close to the carpet.  Therefore, we didn't need any additional special services (Chem Dry does offer a number of other services including a pet urine removal product/procedure called PURT).  Justin was aware that we only wanted the basic service, and he didn't try to sell us on any extras,  which we really appreciated.  In fact, he gave us some great tips for spot-cleaning cat urine in the future.  He also gave us some helpful tips about carpeting in general and what type of carpet we might want to buy in the future (our carpets are very old and will be replaced before long). 

Justin spent a lot of time cleaning, and was here about an hour and a half - a LOT longer than other carpet cleaning services we've used in the past.  Everything was cleaned thoroughly.  The carpet felt wet afterwards, but not soggy, and it dried very quickly - within a few hours.  We'd already moved small furniture (such as lamps, end tables, etc) to other rooms to make things easier, but Justin moved the larger furniture (sofas, loveseat) around and then put them back in place with styrofoam blocks underneath so that the carpet underneath would easily finish drying.  There were some things that couldn't be moved (heavy bookshelves full of books, for example) and Justin cleaned around those.   

Justin paid a lot of attention to little details.  For example, he put extra styrofoam blocks under a hide-a-bed sofa,  because the interior frame holding the mattress just about drags on the floor when the sofa is closed up.  He wanted to make sure there was plenty of clearance between the metal frame and the damp carpet, to avoid the possibility of rust in the future. 

After the carpet dried, I gave it the ultimate test - I'm somewhat allergic to dust, and usually putting my face down close to the rug will lead to eye watering and sneezing.  Well, I took a deep breath - and nothing happened!  The carpet is now quite dust-free!  The next day, our grandson, who is allergic to cat dander, came over to visit and he played on the rug and crawled around with absolutely no problem.  Normally we have to put a large blanket down before putting him on the floor, even after vacuuming. 

Our carpet are 26 years old, so of course they did not look "brand new" after the cleaning, but they did look very nice and noticeably fluffier.  There was no obvious leftover residue from the cleaning process.  I'd have to say that this was a marvelous carpet-cleaning experience and I will definitely use this franchise again in the future. 

They were very good.  We had a really dirty carpet, and they cleaned it up really well.  Their service was pretty good.  We thought that we had a real problem and they cleaned it up with a special process that was better than the other carpet cleaning experiences we have had in the past.  The guy recommended other products to use.  We have been using those, and they work well.  We have been happy with the whole thing.

It went excellent. They were on time and did a great job. They don't rush. They take their time to get the job done right first.

Prestige Chem-Dry did a great job from start to finish.  Carolyn was very personable and professional when I called to schedule a cleaning.  She was able to fit me in at a time that worked for me and also called to let me know the approximate time to expect Justin.  He arrived on time, got right to work, and did an excellent job.  He was also very personable and professional.  Carpet was dry within 3 hours or so.  I will definitely use them again.

We have recommended them to others.  I spent around $300 on that work.  They are very reasonably priced.  They are extremely professional.  They are clean.  They moved furniture and replaced furniture.  They did a good job and I had a couple of stubborn areas that they were able to get out easily and I was very pleased with them.

This is a very reliable family business.  They were able to give me an appt. quickly.  They called when they said they would.  They were on-time and did a great job.  Justin took time to explain the process.  He left me a can of "green" cleaner to use if we get a spot on the carpets. 

They did a great job! Afterwards they called to tell me how to clean pet  'accidents' in the future to prevent staining. When I got home from work, the carpet was dry and all of the chair legs were up on little foam blocks or clear plastic squares for protection. As advertised on Angie's List, they gave me a can of ChemDry spot remover...unfortunately I have had to use it...fortunately it worked!

I have used Chem-Dry before, in another State and was very pleased. I will definitely use Prestige Chem-Dry while I live in Charlotte.

I was moving into a new house and wanted carpets cleaning before I moved furniture in.    I wanted to schedule the work at a specific time at the end of the day - after all the contractors for the day had visited an worked on things so there would be time to dry before moving in the following day.  I called 2 weeks before & got exactly the time I wanted and a clear estimate of cost over the phone. The customer service lady was very knowledgeable and gave advice on services.  The day before I received a call confirming the time window & services.  On the day of service I received a another confirmation call about 1 hour before the technician showed up which he did at exactly the time we agreed.  He walked through the areas with me explaining what stains may or not come out and what he would do. He was very knowledgeable.  He invited us to watch the process as he worked.  He was extremely diligent & hardworking and he managed to remove virtually all the stains - like magic!  This company use an extraction process which leaves the carpets very dry and "fluffy".  I was amazed how much cleaner the carpets looked & how much debris was removed even though the owners had taken extremely good care of things and cleaned meticulously. 

They cleaned up the grout and tile and sealed it on my kitchen counter and my kitchen floor. It is fabulous. It looks like a new floor. I have never had my tile cleaned before but they did a great job. They were punctual and they were in and out in three hours. They were really pleasant to work with. I have already booked them to come out next week.
