PIEDMONT APPLIANCE SERVICE
About us
One of the most experienced Appliance Technicians in Charlotte, NC with 30 plus full time years of carrying a tool box. I started watching over my father’s shoulder when I was 12. Piedmont Appliance Service was opened by my father in 1962, after working as a service manager for General Electric Appliances. In the course of 50 years of business, we have serviced and sold Kitchenaid, Hotpoint, and Maytag brand appliances. In the mid 1970’s, we decided only to service and repair appliances. I have been trained by Bosch, General Electric, Fisher & Paykel, Jenn-air, Kitchenaid, Maytag, Thermador, Uline, and Whirlpool. I am currently authorized to perform warranty work by the following manufacturers: Bosch, Thermador, and Uline. If you are tired of amateurs, give me a call…

After playing telephone tag we finally connected. Totally my fault, He never gave up trying to reach me. Which is awesome! We finally found a date that would work (within just a few days of my initial call) and he called me to confirm when he was coming. He got here right on time. Went straight into the kitchen and right to work, after a little while he found the problem, a piece of the plastic from the broken wheel assembly along with a few other wacky items managed to get in the disposal drain. Once he cleared that all out and put it all back together it was good as new. I can't thank him enough, I was set to go out an buy a new dishwasher and our is only a few years old.
Very punctual and professional Responded immediately to say overbooked, but available at a later date. Dependable and very good work. Would gladly use again.
"Sorry for the problem. I guess with an F it would be unproductive to ask for another chance. this is a prime example of a cowardly internet review. don't take this personally, but it would not be a good idea for this person to contact me again."
"I dont have a record of doing any work for this person. If the B rating was based solely on my not servicing Dacor, then this review is pointless. If you ask a Mercedes dealer to work on your Yugo, dont ding the poor guy because he was honest enough to decline. Nobody can work on everything."
He is professional, knowledable and easy to work with. If I have a problem again, Glen will be my first call!
I gave him the model number and part number needed. He said he had to look up the part number, but would be unable to do so until the next day, and it would be a few days until he had an opening in his schedule. I told him I was looking to get the repair done asap. We agreed to discuss it the next day.
The next day he left a message saying he had ordered the part but could not schedule me for several days. I called back and explained that I would have to use another service provider because I could not delay. In the middle of my sentence, he interrupted, said "goodbye" and hung up the phone.
Mr Sigmon was uncommunicative on the first call, and expressed no interest in trying to accommodate my timing request. And when I asked how long he expected this job to take, his response was, basically, "why are you bothering me with a question?" On the second call, I think the discourtesy and unprofessionalism of hanging up on a potential customer speaks for itself.
"every story has two sides. Mr B was obviously stringing along more than one company in an effort to more quickly resolve his needs. I misunderstood his needs. Thanks to Angies list, I have more business than I can handle, and stay a day or two behind. This I communicated to Mr B, and I assumed he was willing to wait. I was wrong. I apologize to Mr B for my performance, yet I urge Mr B not to call me again, as I am not staffed or have the unlimited resources necessary to attend his needs. The D score is unwarranted."
