Good work by Chris the Technician for sure. I kind of think that somethings were way overpriced.

William came ahead of schedule and was professional, polite and very easy to talk to. He listened patiently to our concerns and even gave us some advice on other possible work we may have done.

Paul and his partner were punctual, courteous, and shared potential solutions and the impact to cost. Nothing in a historic house is cookie cutter, so that’s very helpful. They did fantastic work and cleaned up thoroughly. You’d never even know that had been cutting into baseboards. Will definitely keep them on my shortlist of trusted resources.

I was extremely pleased with Viva Electric both times I used them. After encountering difficulties and a failed inspection with a mini-split AC connection using a different electrician, Jimmy and his team came in and provided a much better a much better and simpler solution. I used Viva again to install a transfer switch for a portable generator and was once again very pleased. Michelle in the office has been a pleasure to work with as well. I definitely recommend Viva Electric.

The 2 man team arrived exactly on time and immediately started working. They answered all of my questions patiently during the project. I had a concern with the ceiling fan since the family room has a 20ft ceiling, the work went very smoothly. Installation of the cabinet lighting was more involved then I imagined, however, it went very smoothly as well. When the work was completed they cleaned up the work areas. The final cost of the project was the same as the estimate. I would definitely use Viva electric again for large or small electrical projects.

You arrived as scheduled and even checked out my microwave( not the reason for the visit) while you were here. After I explained the problem, you walked me through the reason and solution. Jimmy & his team did an excellent job taking down old and installing new light fixtures! They were very friendly, professional and timely. He even came back a few days later and raised a fixture that we decided should be higher! Highly recommend Viva Electric and will definitely use them again!

After calling at least 8 electrician, Jimmy was the first to answer my call and the first on the site to look at our issue. He was on time, professional and his quote was very reasonable. I offered to pay for his service call, and he declined, saying he did not charge a service fee, I found that very unusual these days. I will definitely be using Viva Electric again.

Jimmy did a fantastic job! I called a total of 3 electricians and only 2 called me back. Viva Electric is the only one that kept the estimate appointment and once I agreed to the estimate, he started work 2 days later. He was on time, very professional, thorough and cleaned up as he went along. His prices are very reasonable and I would highly recommend him!!!

The office of a non-profit organization for which I provide volunteer IT services had outgrown it's current location and needed to move. They found ample space in the education building of a local Charlotte church. The three rooms contained a total of 7 electrical outlets on an unknown number of electrical circuits - not enough for 10 or more desktop computers, 3 laser printers and various and sundry other items. Additionally, we needed to run Ethernet lines from a central switch to 13 locations in these three rooms. And finally, we had to provide AT&T a route to get their fiber inside the building and to the middle room of the three where the gigabit switch was located. I received a quote from an established, well-respected electrical contractor for $4250 for the electrical work, and another quote from a custom cable installer for $4450 to run the Ethernet lines. When I requested a quote from the electrician to run for both the electrical work AND running the Ethernet lines, I didn't get any response. Rather than asking for more quotes from big, established contractors, I searched Angies List for firms which might not be quite as busy. Viva Electric seemed to be a new company with only a few reviews, all of which were positive. So I called and asked for a quote for both the electrical work and running the Ethernet lines. Jimmy Giler arrived exactly on time to survey the area. His quote arrived before it was promised. He quoted $5500 for the electrical and Ethernet work (thousands less than the combined quotes from the more established companies). Later, when AT&T was unable to provide Internet and telephone services because they couldn't get their fiber inside the building, Jimmy provided that access for them and ran another Ethernet line from the fiber location to the switch box location for another $300. He estimated that the work would take 5 days for two men. He himself showed up (along with his father, Wilson) to do the work - once again, exactly on time. We went over a detailed plan of where we wanted to outlets placed and where we wanted the Ethernet lines run. He positioned everything EXACTLY where we wanted it. Because of the construction of the building, he was able to run wires in the attic, but he was not able to run the wires behind the walls (due to the presence of purlins) so he ran the wires on the surface of the wall covered by a raceway. This was done very neatly and the brackets were screwed into the drywall using drywall anchors. At the end of the job, he used touch-up paint to cover any little nicks or imperfections. All the Ethernet connections were tested and labeled. All the electrical outlets were tested, and the dedicated laser printer outlets (single receptacle per circuit) were labeled. This job took two men five days to complete, and I know that the days were longer than eight hours! In my opinion, Jimmy Giler did an exceptional job. He is absolutely my electrician of choice from now on!
