Best money spent on our new home so far. We bought a foreclosure that had a long neglected yard and landscape. The information gained from Darin will not only save us money by avoiding some big mistakes, but will also greatly speed up the redesign and recovery of the eyesore that is the exterior of our home. I was expecting a little bit of a sales pitch along the way but it never came. He focused on educating us and assisting with some of our DIY goals as well as provided great resources for where and how to buy what we will need. We will tackle a lot of the project ourselves, however any of the steps that need professional services we will go with Metro without question. Highly recommended!

Had two meetings with Darin prior to the work starting. The first was to go through what work was being requested and also to discuss some future projects and get estimates. Darin was very attentive and paid attention to what I was asking for. We talked through multiple scenarios of the work that I was considering. Selected Darin to do the first phase of the work which was to replace the stacked stone steps and also to replace the driveway. Next meet Darin to select the stone, looked at multiple choices and made a selection. Next the work started, crew was on site promptly and they first did the demolition on the steps. The crew was very careful to make sure the best side of the stone faced up and was very careful with everything around them, nothing was damaged has all this work was being completed. Crew did a great job of keeping the site cleaned up during the day and before they left for the day. There was some rework required on the existing walls with the new steps in and they did a great job of integrating the stones into the existing structure. Overall the steps look great and they look like they have always been there, very satisfied with the work.
Darin did contract out for the asphalt work but he made an excellent decision on who to use and the work that they did was of very high quality, very pleased with the end result and it looks fantastic.
Overall it as a very good experience and we got exactly what we are looking for. We will use MetroGreenScape for future projects.

They did a very good job and we were very pleased. We haven't had any flooding problems since. In my particular unit, they were working around the drainage pipe and had disturbed the pine needles that I had laid. I spoke with one of the workers and they told me that they would replace the needles. They came-back a few days later and replaced the needles, laying even more than I had had. I was very impressed with this gesture and feel that they went above and beyond. I just contacted Darin today regarding a future project that they will be doing. I have a pet, so I was concerned about the chemicals in the fertilizer that they will be putting down. Darin advised me that things would be fine. He was very understanding of my concern and provided me with information regarding the materials that they will be using, so that I can do further research. Overall, Darin and his crew have been very thorough, responsive, professional, and polite.

Interviewed and received quotes from 3 will regarded Charlotte Area Outdoor Living services. Darin and his team were head and shoulders above the other companies. The design they developed, in collaboration with my wife, was elegant and tasteful. After contract was signed they continued to provide service for us to the highest degree. Their workers are craftsmen, and were always punctual and respectful. The job started and finished exactly according to schedule. The end result exceeded our expectations. My highest recommendation! Plan on using them again for an in ground pool to be started in 2011.

I think they were very professional. They came with a lot of references. We had one of the owners of the company stop by. He seemed very nice. He was on time. They were very upfront and knowledgeable. They gave us quotes pretty much on the spot on average of most of the cost. We actually went to a garden show and we saw some of their work as well. They had a display in one of the local garden shows over the weekend. We didn't move forward with them because another landscaping company gave us some different ideas and we just liked their ideas better. We would use Metro-Green Scape again if we needed another estimate.

The work itself was fine. They made me paid for two whole pallets of sod. i only used a little more than one, and they took the rest. They didn't leave me any or refund. They also put flyers in 400 of my neighbors mailbox telling them they did work for me and to view my house. They did not ask if it was OK to do this.

I would like to comment on behalf of where we scored low and maybe where you weren’t 100% satisfied. When we buy sod it’s a perishable item and our suppliers mandate that we buy by the pallet because this is the best way to ship it on tractor trailers across the country. We are never able to reuse this product so unfortunately it ends up in the trash. However we would be embarrassed if we didn’t show up with enough material so it’s our policy to always over order so that we can actually keep our cost down. It always cost less to have extra material then it does to send three guys in big trucks to go get more material. With traffic, gas prices and guys sitting in line its not always productive. I also wanted to contact on the neighborhood letters. We typically only put out 50, I never thought about asking the home owner but will bring this up in our staff meeting. The reason why we put these out to is to make home owners aware that we will be doing construction where they live. I also live in a custom home neighborhood and its frustrating on my way to work having to possible dodge big trucks on the side of the street, cones in the road and look at dirt piled in the street because most home owners do not want to have material on the drive way. It also has verbiage in the letter that has my cell phone number to call if noise it to load, are guys are doing something wrong, or they have a problem with anything and people call us instead of calling the home owner which can be uncomfortable for our customers. I was surprised to see a F for professional, when all the items above that score that determine if someone is professional we got straight A's on but that’s your opinion. Overall I would say this experience was a good one, especially the installation process and the support of their field people and project manager. I'm concerned how this will all look once spring has arrived here in LW SC - exactly how many of those plantings survived or what all this will look like in the growth season. But for now and looking back I'd say selecting Darin and the team was divine intervention for us. We're about to contact them for another section of the side yard and to revisit what was placed last fall.. We'll let you all know how that turns out. For now though we would indeed recommend them

They always try to be very responsive. He always tries to stay abrest for the most recent trends for being green and being the most cost efficent as well. They are good with communication. They are really a B+/A- company.

They were smaller when I used them and within the two years since I've used them, they have become very known and active in the neighborhood. They participate as a company that does a lot of green projects, and do a lot of outreach work for the community. I think they are very good, ecspecially now that they are growing very fast.

We had them put in an upper and lower stone patio and a covered deck. They also did the landscaping and had a contractor that gave us the quotes. They worked with us on the assignment of the backyard and took into account our thoughts and what we wanted in the backyard. They made sure it was customized with the colors and plants we liked. They were professional, responsive and punctual.

Darin responded quickly to initial call, and offered excellent suggestions on laying out initial design. Once construction started the job foreman proved to be extremely competent, pointing out on several occasions certain changes we needed to make in order to improve the finished project. All members of the crew were professional, easy to work with, and very skilled. The entire job was completed in a week. They cleaned up thoroughly. This was a big project for us and not something we had any previous experience with. We are very very happy with our new back yard.

The initial consultation ($50) with Darin was very helpful and informative; he gave us a number of good ideas and told us many things we can do ourselves for cost savings. Having the actual design created was a disappointing experience. The design was promised to be completed in ten days, however, it took more than six weeks for the final design to be delivered. Several of my emails and phone calls were not returned, and no explanation was provided for the delay. The final product was a decent design and using photographs rather than other design formats were very helpful. However, we did not have confidence in the company's customer service or management routines to trust them with the landscaping contract.

Darin and Heather really know their business. Every detail of the landscaping process was explained, so that we would know exactly what we were getting. Dealing with them was a real pleasure. Not only are they knowledgeable about landscaping, they were also punctual and very reasonably priced. The finished product was even better than we had expected.

HEATHER CAME OUT AND DID THE INITIAL ESTIMATE, PATIENTLY MODIFIED THE PLAN and ESTIMATE SEVERAL TIMES AS I REQUESTED CHANGES. HER HUSBAND, DARRIN, AND CREW CAME OUT AND DID THE WORK TO OUR SATISFACTION. HE HAD SOME DIRT LEFT OVER, BUT USED THAT TO ADD TO ANOTHER AREA THAT WAS NOT IN THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. WHEN THEY LEFT, MY DRIVEWAY WAS CLEANER THAN WHEN THEY ARRIVED. THEY WERE ALSO CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE ANY EXISTING PLANTS OR TREES. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM.
