Greenland Construction USA LLC

I'm hoping this post saves someone the stress and heartache we've experienced over the last 12 months. PLEASE PLEASE be aware of, and stay far away from David Greenland with Greenland Construction LLC/ Greenland Construction USA LLC. I actually made this post about 9 months ago, but David agreed to pay us back a small sum of money to remove the review. Its clear by the fact that I'm writing this post again, that David did not hold true to his word, again. We have only recently learned that David Greenland has no contractors license. It is illegal to take a construction job over $40K with no constractors license, but he sure took our job. 3 months after our "nightmare" experience, in March 2023, David went on to defraud another couple that used the same Realty company. We sued David for a small portion of our money lost. Court was yesterday actually, and we won our case after only a couple of minutes of telling the judge our experience. David didnt even show up. The other couple, whom also gave David over 70K, arent even able to move into their new home. Litigation is pending for that. Here is our story... Nov. 2022, David was referred to us by our Realtor. He quoted us $76K for our entire renovation. Within 2 weeks, things snowballed QUICKLY. His crew would come in, work 1-2 hours each day, nothing being completed at the home, and we were billed for 40 hour work weeks for a crew of 6-8 men. The painters would leave our windows open, again in middle of winter, overnight and all of the paint dripped off the walls and window trim. His plumber came to the home intoxicated, and installed all 3 new bathroom shower systems completely wrong, every single one of our sinks leaked (bathroom and kitchen, and the new gas line he installed leaked gas throughout our whole house. We were without heat for 3 days in the middle of winter and David refused to send someone other than said "intoxicated plumber" to fix it. David also used a convicted construction fraud criminal, named Randy Briel. Please google search this man! He is banned from all construction work of any kind, he owes over $300k in restitution to his victims, and was in jail for 10 months. Yet, this is who David had in our home. We never received our new windows, we didnt receive any of the wood accents outside our home, the entire inside of our home was painted with a SINGLE coat of paint, and wasnt even primed. The paint is now peeling off some of the walls. The ceiling were only half way sanded, and never smoothed. The LVP flooring is coming up and cracking in places, less than a year later. The list goes on and on. I've attached a few pictures for reference. After spending a total of over $120,000 for a job half way done, it was a hard lesson learned. You cant trust people. Please share this with anyone living in North and South Carolina that may hire a "contractor".
