I was promptly provided with an estimate for the work that was reasonable and was able to schedule the work to begin soon. The workers were a bit late in showing up, but did complete the work in a timely manner and it looks great. There was an increase in the estimate, but only because additional damage was found to the area below the columns that was not exposed to the weather, but final estimate was still in line with our budget. The paint they used however, did need a touch up and it took me a long time to get them to come out and complete the touch up, but when it was completed everything looked great and the high quality of paint and workmanship has held up. Work was completed in February 2008.

Poorly. The work performed on the house was incorrect and inconsistent. I had to take time off of work to help supervise the workers which I shouldn't have had to do. I had to ask them to resand the deck, then go back over it with them and ensure it was sanded properly before restaining again. Then the workers nailed through 2 of my good windows in the front of the house when replacing the rotted wood. The new wood had some splintered edges. A week after the wood was painted, the knots in the new wood started to show through. I asked other professional painters about this and they stated that this could happen if the wood was not primed before painting. I do not remember the workers putting more than one coat of paint on the new wood. I'm guessing it was never primed. For the past 3 months, we've been trying to get them back to fix the paint job which they continue to tell us they'll be at the house and then never show. There is much more to this story, but not enough character space.

"ONCE AGAIN I UNDERSTAND AND APOLOGIZE FOR THE FRUSTRATION OF THE MEMBER. NO ONE ASKED HIM TO STAY OUT OF WORK TO SUPPOSABLY SUPERVISE THE JOB. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IF THE JOB WAS SUPERVISED BY HIM WHY THESE THINGS WOULD EVEN BE A PROBLEM, THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED AT THE TIME THE WORKERS WERE THERE. I GAVE THE MEMBER AN ESTIMATE TO REPLACE A PIECE OF WOOD AROUND THE BAY WINDOW AND WHEN I REMOVED IT, ALL OF THE WOOD WAS ROTTEN. HE ARGUED THAT WE SHOULD HAVE TO FIX IT ANYWAY WE DID TO TRY AND MAKE HIM HAPPY. WE FIXED A PIECE ON THE DECK ALSO BUT A NEW PIECE OF WOOD IS NOT GOING TO LOOK THE SAME AS THE REST ON THE FIRST DAY DUE TO WEAR ON THE REMANDING PIECES. WHEN HE MADE HIS PAYMENT HE DEDUCTED 3 DAYS OF HIS PAY FROM THE TOTAL AND GAVE US THE REMAINDER. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE FACT THAT I GOT THIS RATING BUT I AM CONFIDENT WITH THE NUMEROUS OF GOOD RATINGS THAT I DO HAVE IN MY OFFICE. I HAVE LEARNED A LESSON WITH THIS JOB AND HAVE ALREADY PUT IN PLACE A PLAN SO THAT I WILL NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM AGAIN."

Said that he would be at our home 8 a.m. and he covered all lights windows with plastic and protected all. Every day clean. Then paint two coats @ siding, trim, all we are very happy with his work.
